I was really disappointed with my visit to Zaxby's. The food took much longer than expected, and when it finally came out, it wasn't fresh. The fries were cold, the chicken was dry, and part of my order was missing. The restaurant also didn't seem very clean, and the staff didn't appear interested in helping when I brought up the issue. Overall, it wasn't worth the money, and I don't plan on coming back unless they improve their food quality and customer service. read more

After some thought I decided to edit my review and explain in more detail why I gave this location one star. This location is on my way to work so it was convenient to go to the drive through and grab food before my shift . At first it was great, then the issues started when new staff members came on. The quality of the food went down, and the staff got rude. Even for something as simple as asking for a receipt got eye rolls and attitude. The food was often cold , didn't taste right and my order was incorrect. This started Mid October 2025 and my last visit was January 2026. At first I thought it was the new staff getting used to the restaurant but when the issues continued and I saw no improvement I decided to mark this location off my list and avoid it altogether. There is no quality control at this location so my recommendation is to avoid this location and try a different one. I have never had an issue with the Lexington or Newberry stores. read more

0/5 Ordered two milkshakes ahead on the app. Waited 5 minutes at the speaker, then got told at the window to park. I ended up waiting 35 minutes for just two milkshakes. While I sat there, I watched employees laugh, dance, and goof off inside, clearly more focused on having fun than doing their jobs. A few customers were served in between, but there was no urgency or professionalism. Eventually a manager came out, and the fun stopped. He brought me the wrong order and walked away without asking what I was waiting for. Then another employee came out with someone else's order. I asked her why it was taking so long--she laughed and said, "I'm in a different section." Moments later, she came out with both of my milkshakes. When I asked again, she laughed again. This isn't the first time I've had to wait over 30 minutes for something simple here. Between the wait, the attitude, and the lack of care, I won't be coming back. Zaxby's, do better. 0/5. read more

I come to this zaxbys often since it's near by and they are always fast when going inside to pick up. I use the app to order and I've never gotten the wrong thing. Food was ready and got to my car and started to dig in. I was super excited bc I ended up with all flats which are the best. The wings were tender and juicy like always, crispy hot fries and the toast is so buttery. Their sweet tea is my favorite fast food tea. The wimpy sauce isn't hot but has a really good flavor to it I love. read more

Can't speak to the food bc we've never been to this restaurant but just wanted to give 5 stars to their manager. When I got an alert that someone had used my grub hub account to order food and charge me for it (we live in Missouri so it definitely wasn't us), we called the store and while he couldn't really do much he went above and beyond to help me figure out how to get it resolved and provided as much information on the fraudulent order. I'll be honest and admit I didn't expect much when I called the restaurant but the manager (despite it being dinner time and presumably busy) spent a lot of time on the phone with us and even called back to provide more helpful information so we could effectively dispute the charge. Man deserves a raise or a special parking spot because he went out of his way to show compassion and just a baseline level of decency. Thanks again. read more

Somebody please get this place some help! New management and new staff. I honestly can't believe it's been this bad for so long. We got there around 9:15pm and they weren't accepting anymore orders. They close at 10pm. Not the first time this has happened. The line literally have more than 6-7 cars and they don't even acknowledge the customers they just let them wait there. Delicious "fast food"! Hubby and I were traveling to GA and needed a quick bite to eat. He wanted chicken and I wanted salad. We took a chance on Zaxby's. We don't have a Zaxby's in MI but there was a line wrapped around the building so we decided to try it. After taking the first bite of his grilled chicken sandwich, hubbby said if you review this place say the chicken was juicy and with just the right seasoning. I had the black and blue chicken salad. The chicken on my GIANT salad was plentiful and perfectly seasoned. We compared it to the Chick fil A that we had the day before, and hands down, Zaxby's beat Chick fil A. Sorry, Chick fil A people, but that's our take on Zaxby's. As far as the employees, the manager was cheering on the employees in the kitchen to keep the food coming up fast. This place has become absolute trash, steady decline in service and food quality, today was it. Total disorganized front of house( and from the confused looks of the teenagers in the back it goes for there as well), cashiers on FaceTime as customers come in, no real attention to detail. I was at this Zaxby's yesterday at around 5:00 it was the worst experience I've ever had at this location. First of all, the manager was hugged up with an employee in the corner behind the counter. Second, the cooks were talking so loud we could hear them from the dining room. They were also using profane language. Then they all walked up front to talk to some young ladies who were in line ordering food. They were also still using profanity. To top it all off my food was horrible. I ordered a Southern TLC chicken sandwich combo and the chicken was small and hard as well as the bun. The fries were also extra salty. 5 years ago I would have given this place 5 stars. In fact I would give any other location 5 stars. Food is great, albeit slightly over priced. I came from out of town and have been craving Zaxby's for weeks. Even drove 30 minutes to get to this location bc it was the closest to my parents' house. Service here is a DISASTER! My order took wayyyyyy to long! 15 minutes and I was the ONLY person in line inside while there were 3 cars outside. No one at the front counter when I walked up. And when she did show up she seemed more interested in giving her friends that were there in front of me free food. Kitchen staff seemed to be messing around and not too interested in doing their jobs. I ordered on the app in a hurry, not realizing that I had ordered from the Lake Murray Rd location until I went through the drive thru in Chapin, where I meant to order from. Apparently the app chose the location for me automatically and I had not noticed. Chapin employees stated that I could call the Lake Murray Blvd. location to cancel and get a refund, so I went ahead and reordered and paid again. At that time, I called and spoke to the assistant manager who stated it wasn't his problem and that he would give me half of my money back because they had already made the order and put it on the counter. When I let him know that I wanted a refund in full, he continued to refuse and said they have this happen all too often and its their stores policy not to refund the money. While I do believe he was just following what his management told him, this is unacceptable. He only offered to leave my name and number and have someone call me the next morning. Eventually I gave up and said just have his GM call me. I never received a call back from TINA the GM so I called her. When she picked up I said who I was and that there should have been a note to give me a call regarding an issue with an app order. She immediately, very rudely stated "Yeah, he offered to give you half of your money back." I said thats not okay, that I want a full refund. TINA then said "Its half or nothing." Very rude and aggressive once again. She went on to say that she talked to the owner, whose info she refused to provide, and said that she had discussed my situation with him and he said only to give half back because it asks for location 3 times and its my fault, not theirs! BTW. The app does NOT ask 3 times and automatically fills in and I immediately called once I realized the mistake. I told TINA to have the owner call me and she said he stated he has my phone number and will call me tomorrow when he gets back, again very rudely. I started to say something and she hung up on me. I am now waiting on a response from a complaint that I have put in and just wanted to let everyone know of my experience. My family will NEVER visit the Lake Murray Blvd. location again and will be sure to pass on this horrible experience. We have never had a problem at any other location and will just continue to visit those. UPDATE: Joe Turbeville called me and said he is the franchise owner of the Lake Murray Blvd. location. He said he will only refund half, that most Zaxbys wont even do that and that its not his fault, that I needed to take ownership for the mistake. Which I did. He said its money out of his pocket and they cannot write things off like this as waste, that I should have called before the food was made. He went on to state they were doing their job and made an order that was placed. I attempted to explain that how I had been treated by Tina and other associate was very unprofessional and unacceptable. He did not care. I attempted to explain that the app says to call store directly to edit or cancel an order and that before I paid at the Chapin location they had directed me that I could call and cancel the order and get a refund. He continuously interrupted me and wouldn't let me speak so my husband took the phone to let him know he was being rude and to let me speak. After interrupting my husband a few times as well, Joe agreed to let me speak. After explaining about the app and Chapin store he said they cant decide what he does at his store. Getting aggravated, I did call him an ass and hung up. (Not what I should have said but I have had it with this store and the employees/owner). I have filed another complaint with their HQ and want to share and update everyone. read more

I wish zero stars was an option! The manager, Tina, is the most unprofessional, rude, sarcastic, smart ass I've ever met at place if business. I sent my kids to pick up lunch, and after waiting for over 20mins at "curbside" they called me and said no one came out yet. I called the store and explained my kids had been waiting 20 mins. Just left this zaxbys. Awful service! I ordered through the drive through. My receipt was wrong even after repeating the order. Get to the window and tell the girl lite ice. She rolled her eyes. Then told her I was missing sauces that I paid for. She gave me the wrong ones four times. She almost charged me for someone elses order. I get my food and had to go in because my drink was full of ice and all carbonation. I had to take the sauce in again because it was still wrong. I had to also get the dressing for my salad because there was none. Then I get to where I was going and realized I had nothing to eat my salad with because there was no fork. There were two people inside and two in the drive thru so not busy. Luckily the cooks did a great job and the front counter woman was very nice. read more

I really love Zaxby's and this location. I always stop by when I swing into town. People get really pissy about waiting in the drive thru, but this isn't a fast food place. They make your meal to order. Some things take longer. Get your lazy butt out of the car and walk inside. It's good to stand and get some exercise too. I had a bit of a customer service issue last time when ordering wings. I asked for all flats and they said they could do "mostly." So of course I got all drumettes, which I hate. I only ate a couple and threw out the rest.
