This is a Build Your Own Bowl with lots of veggies and chicken

I just love the food at Kairos. It's delicious and very filling. We always take home leftovers

Kairos is great! We were craving relatively healthy food and came across this Mediterranean place. It looks like Kairos is a chain local to the south Columbia/Southeast area as it looks like they have multiple locations. We went for the build your own bowl option and it tasted delicious. Fresh ingredients that all pair well together. I really like their selection of in house juices and got the strawberry one. We also got an order of the fries, honestly slapped. Something about the feta with the vinaigrette made it delish. Would come back if I'm in the area! Service was just a little bit slow, that is my main critique

Really liked the bowl options and the dining -in bowls/plates. The employees were really nice and patient

Easily one of the best med restaurants I've ever been to. Get the spicy chicken and avocado dressing, both are fire!

Great place to eat, they are fairly new to the Columbiana mall area. Fast, courteous service. I will most definitely eat here again. They give a huge serving size, enough for seconds. This is my second time eating at a Kairos Mediterranean. They are pretty consistent. I encourage all to check them out in your area.

Friendly service, clean place, bowl was decent. We like that they had a variety of toppings to add to your bowl, wasn't a huge fan of their pita bread, hummus or tzzikki sauce.

    BYOB - delicious!

A build your own bowl kind of place which is great for a quick and filling meal. The workers on our visit were so personable and easy to chat with. They gave hearty scoops of everything we asked for. Great flavor and was a great meal on our pit stop to Columbia. I will definitely go back to a Kairos near me!!

Food: 5/5 Service: 5/5 Ambiance: 5/5 Wow, wow, wow. If you love Mediterranean or if you're looking to give it a try, I cannot recommend Kairos Mediterranean enough! The food is served very similar to how Chipotle is setup. There are build-your-own meals as well as standard menu items to choose from. If you're new to Mediterranean food, the people working there are superb. They walk you through everything in a way that isn't condescending (some places haven't learned how to master that skill). My two friends and I all chose to build our own Kairos bowls. As you can see from the photos we each chose a wide range of protein, spreads, and toppings. All three of us cleared our bowls quickly, everything was just so delicious! The restaurant is exceptionally clean and tiny. The style is a modernistic feel of Greece, which felt very refreshing. I am not exaggerating when I say the restroom may have been the cleanest public restroom I've seen in a very, very long time. If you're on the fence about trying Kairos Mediterranean, please say yes!!

Admittedly, I purposefully drove out of the way to try out Kairos. I'm a huge Greek food fan, so this seemed like the perfect place to go. The ordering is simple and designed like a Subway or Chipotle where you can build your own bowl, salad, pita, etc. The workers were very helpful in crafting a gyro and also suggested I try the Feta Fries. The lamb in the gyro was so incredibly tender and savory. Their homemade tzatziki sauce along with the roasted red peppers and onions really tied in the whole dish. It was a perfect blend of flavors that seemed very authentic to the Mediterranean atmosphere. The Feta Fries were absolutely amazing! It's pretty much just fries with Greek salad dressing and feta cheese sprinkled on top, but it was fries like I've never experienced before! The dressing was a little overpowering, but the feta helped to cut through the bite of the dressing and rounded out the flavor quite well. It was served piping hot from the fryer, so that added a nice touch as well.

The food was on point! The gyro meat was seasoned to perfection. I opted to swap the rice out for their veggies and it was a great call. There were bell peppers, onions, tomatoes and mushrooms in there which complimented the meat perfectly. Their tzatziki is homemade and the perfect contrast to the dish. I'll definitely be back for lunch or dinner soon!

From the moment we stepped inside we were treated like family or close friends of the owner. The owner works in the kitchen but greeted us at the counter and helped answer all of our questions. He is extremely passionate about his food and you can tell he takes great pride in it through every delicious bite. Due to covid , they have limited staff and no servers but their dining room is still open. We thought we would be picking our food up at the counter. Nope, the owner graciously served us and would not accept anything less. The owner apologized for the way covid has impacted how they do business (which he did not need to do) and he was overall just a very genuine and pleasant guy. He even offered us complimentary damascus bread and baklava. Here's what we tried: -Damascus bread and hummus - the damascus bread was light and crisp with sesame seeds sprinkled on top and drizzled with olive oil. It was a perfect pairing with the hummus. The hummus was some of the best I have ever had. Creamy , with a hint of paprika. -Chicken, kufta and veggies special over yellow rice with a Greek salad. Flavorful, tender and delicious!! It was so good. The owner also brought us some tzatziki sauce and a spicy tobasco based sauce. Both sauces complimented the meats well . The owner asked us how we liked the spicy sauce to which we replied how great it was and he then brought us some to take home. It's delicious so definitely order some on the side! -Baklava - this heavenly Baklava combined honey-soaked layers of flaky phyllo pastry with chopped nuts. It was very good. You gotta try this place - you will not regret it. Everything about our dining experience was perfect and I will be back every time I am in Columbia!!

I've always gone with and recommend the chicken kebab. It comes with about 4-5 pieces of grilled chicken, yellow rice, vegetables, and side of tzatziki sauce. The grilled flavor of the chicken just mixes so well with the rice, so having that clean "chicken & rice" meal while maintaining the awesome flavors. The menu is pretty diverse, despite Mediterranean being their speciality. They offer other American dishes like burgers or even pizza; never tried them though, but options are there to diversify. Right now due to Ramadan, their hours are adjusted for dining in, so they stop seating people around 7:30pm. To go orders are the only option; not a big deal for me though. I highly recommend people to try this place out if they haven't; seriously a solid 4 star dining establishment!

I came in a few minutes after 10:00 a.m., the time they open, and while I don't expect a restaurant to be in tip-top shape the second they open, they did not seem at all ready for the day or to accept customers. I stood at the front for a few awkward moments before asking one of the hostesses if I was supposed to seat myself, when she replied "oh no, I'll seat you", and then led me to one of the nearby tables. Somewhat grossly, the tablecloth on the table I was seated at was covered with coffee stains from previous guests, which was kind of unsettling. I then asked for a cup of coffee, and was told that there wasn't any ready, and that I would need to wait a few minutes. Again, not a huge deal, but I would expect a breakfast restaurant to have some coffee ready by the time that they open. Second, when perusing the menu, I was not particularly impressed by their "limited breakfast" options, nor anything on their regular menu. I decided to go with a simple hot dog, and substituted the offered sides with an order of French fries, which ridiculously cost me almost $4 extra. In addition, my hot dog was fine, but nothing exceptional, and definitely not better than one I could've gotten at Costco for a markedly cheaper price. The one (1) bright spot was that the fries were very good, and of higher quality than most other fries I've gotten at similar restaurants. Finally, my server was nice enough, but a little rough around the edges and not overly attentive. In addition, the ambiance was pretty basic, with nothing about it that really stuck out. All-in-all, I wouldn't be adverse to returning to DiPratos on a Saturday or Sunday to try their breakfast menu, but I won't be coming back during the week, and wouldn't really recommend that anybody else do so either.

We tried to enter, but the door was locked. After a few mins. we tried again. Still locked. There is a table with chairs outside, so we sat and proceeded to wait. A few minutes later, the waiter (there was only 1), told us he hadn't bothered to open the door as the chef had not arrived yet. We said it wasn't a problem as we were not in a hurry and we could spend the time having something to drink (iced tea) and perusing the menu. After the chef finally arrived and we could order, we ordered the Dolmadaki to share and two entrees that came with salads. We told the waiter that we would order dessert after dinner. The waiter eventually brought out the salads. Nothing special, but very overdressed. He then brought out the entrees. (In between his service, he spent a lot of time looking at himself and fixing his hair in a mirror on the wall in this small dining room.) My chicken souvlaki was very dry, served in large lumps that were difficult to cut. Potatoes were ok. My husbands beef kabob was flavorless, and his red lentils also lacked flavor. At this point we were still the only patrons and Andrew was the only waiter. He then came over, and asked if we were ready for the check. We informed him that we each wanted to order baklava and that he needed to make sure that our check did not include the Dolmadaki which we never received. He acted surprised that we hadn't received the appetizer, in spite of the fact that we were the only patrons and he was the only waiter. He went back to the kitchen and when he returned he told us that they only had 1 baklava as the chef didn't bake any that day. We requested our check instead. He proceeded to say that the Dolmadaki would be out shortly, at which point we informed him that we did not want them as they were to be our appetizer, not something we wanted to eat after dinner. When he finally brought the check, I needed to ask him to remove the used dinner plates so that I could deal with the check. While I was very tempted not to leave any, left a very meager 12% tip that day. Due to all of the above (and the fact that the only bathroom had an overflowing trash bin, no hand sanitizer in the dispenser, and could have used a good general cleaning) we cannot in good conscience recommend this restaurant. It was also interesting to note that when we left there were still no other patrons, but the restaurant next door was booming. Next time we'll try there.
