Reminds me of home! Ordered the roast beef poboy, gumbo, and bread pudding to go, and none of it disappointed! The gumbo was chunky and had a nice kick. They really know the importance of seasoning. I did not intend on leaving a review since my last one was so recent. My mom wanted to come back because she enjoyed her shrimp po'boy that much. This last time they were featuring a lobster po'boy, I ended up ordering a combination po'boy with lobster and shrimp. Long story short, I came to say the lobster was phenomenal. It was fried to perfection and had a great flavor. It's hard to find fried lobster in Columbia, especially fried lobster cooked well. Shrimp and grits- the shrimp was seasoned perfectly and the portions were huge Waffles with chicken sausage. I love pearl sugar waffles and adding mascarpone and fruit made it unforgettable Beignets- I could live off these...full stop. Delicious! Great flavors and very fresh. We ordered the Mimi-latta (muffuletta sandwich) and the Parish Salad with shrimp. The sandwich was hearty and big enough to share or take half home. The shrimp on the salad was fresh fried and plump. And the most delicious bread pudding was enjoyed afterwards. Service was friendly! The environment/atmosphere was interesting...can't quite put my finger on it, but the food was good. The service was good as well. I ordered the shrimp poboy and the shrimp was so light and crispy. I ordered the side of okra, which I thought was a little pricey ($7), but the sauce it came with made the okra tasty. The slaw was my least favorite and I wish I had gotten the red beans and rice but maybe next time. A real hit for me was the pralines, they melt in your mouth- $8 for 4, but they were well worth it. Our ROMEO club of 10 went here for our first visit today. Arrived at 11:25 and there were plenty of seats...we took up two tables, everyone placed their order at the counter and seated. We ordered three gumbos(2 deer and 1 chicken gumbo), two Shrimp Po'Boys and 1 Oyster Po'Boy, 1 chicken sandwich, and two Mimi-Lattas (Muffuletta sandwiches). The Muffuletta's were great. Large rounded bun with tons of the usual meat and olive spread. The gumbo was very good...I had a cup to sample it and it was one of the best I've had. It had a very dark roux, excellent taste with the deer and the andouille. I'd order it again. The guys with the Shrimp Po'Boys said they were very good. Great choice on the menu. I would've liked to have seen jambalaya on there menu but apparently they only make it on certain days. Most excellent restaurant. Our ratings amongst the group were (7) 5.0s and (3) 4.5s, giving it a rating average of 4.9! If you like cajun this is the best I've found in Cola area so far. read more

Found this precious cafe and market on yelp while traveling. We were so excited to try the shrimp poboy. Being from south Louisiana we were unsure what to expect. Well Luzianna Purchased did NOT disappoint. Their poboy was so tasty just like home, the shrimp, "dem' waz big n plenty sha!" Owner's from New Orleans and his food is authentic. Wish I had time to shop the market and sample everything. Got me some sweet praline's for the ride. Look forward to heading back that way again. My daughter's family, visiting from out of state, wanted to try Luzianna Purchase. The menu looked great, and the reviews were good, so we quickly loaded the van, comiing from about an hour away, thinking that we had plenty of time. On the way, my daughter checked online, discovering that the place closed an hour earlier on Saturdays. That was fine, I thought, as we should have arrived befote 1. The traffic leaving the congested parking lot was something that I had not factored. Weee we ever inclined to try again, I would park farther away and walk! Though we did arrive at 1:05, it took us 10 minutes to park! Is it just me, or is 1:30 an unusually early closing time for lunch?! That's fine. If the owners want to close at 11 or 12, that's their prerogative. Also, knowing an establishment's closing time, it's never been our practice to arrive within half an hour of that time. The staff may be paying for child care. We understand such things. I will say, though, no establishment has ever turned us away....never. We waited for 12 minutes...still aheas of their posted closing time. Finally, we were turned away. If out dismissal had been the least cordial, I wouldn't be writing this. We left, and everyone was a bit stunned. My daughter looks forward to coming home where folks are nice and hospitable....well, at least she experienced that in our ultimate destination. Everyone has bad days, I guess. We have not been back to determine whether that was the case. read more

Everything we got was mind blowing with exceptional customer service to top it off! The gumbo is truly a warming dish. The body, the depth of flavor the amount of chicken everything was exceptional about the gumbo! So exceptional we brought a quart to take home. The shrimp Poboy was loaded with deliciously, huge fried shrimp literally the best Poboy I have ever had! The muffaletta oh my the muffaletta!!!!! Every thing about this sandwich was mind blowing from the crunch of the bread, the mildly briny olive salad complimented the beautiful delicate meat and cheeses on the sandwich! I literally could not stop eating it! We also got bread pudding to go and it was delicious as well. I'm really excited to have found this restaurant with great food, a beautiful staff with beautiful spirits and great decor and even gifts! I cannot wait to work my way through this menu! My daughter got the Canjun turkey po boy and she said it was nothing to rave about. It barely had any Cajun flavor if any flavor at all. I suppose the relish sauce that came with it was supposed to provide the Cajun flavor, however, it was more sour and tangy than spicy in my, my husband's, and my daughter's opinion. Admittedly, the sauce was still good even though it wasn't Cajun. I had the shrimp po boy and it was good however, I do think it was a little overpriced. New to the state and area. My partners job is right down the street, and thank God. LP is our new Friday tradition. On Friday's it's his half day in the office, and he brings home Luzianna Purchase. So far we've tried the Chicken Po'Boy, Shrimp Po'Boy, and the Moufeltta salad and the Bison chili. Don't ask me what our favorite has been so far. It's all delicious! Quality and servings are perfect. Staff is friendly as could be, and attentive. Cleanliness, also amazing. The restaurants dining set up is nice as there is seating for every one. A quaint little lounge, two family-size dining tables and the flip side is bar-top dining tables. Our first time in, they were slammed with charcuterie board orders, and we were sold on the spot... not by the staff but by another devoted patron! We've now got one ordered for Thanksgiving.
