Slowest service I have ever experienced. Staff was friendly but very under staff. No sign of a manager on duty

This place is a joke! Drive through was backed-up. Went inside and ordered and literally waited 20 minutes for a Chicken Sandwich and Loaded Fries. The girls working the front were too busy having the cook make their food. I saw five different customers coming back in because their orders were wrong. I was told they were waiting for the chicken to cook for my order then they said they were waiting for the bun. This is what happens when you have young kids trying to run a business or better yet, they are about to run you out of business. I'm totally shocked to see what store has become over the past couple of years. This use to be a great place, but it appears that someone isn't really concerned regarding the way business is being done. I ask that the people in Locust Grove challenge this store to maintain a higher standard. Maybe it is time for a Raising Cain's or a Guither's to be built in the lot beside Wal-Mart. We vote by the almighty dollar so maybe it's time to send a message. I really hate this due the fact that I dealt directly with the manager, district manager and corporate for this store and built a good relationship between them and our local high school. We even had this store coming to our athletic events selling Nibblers. This relationship was great the school, community and Zaxby's. I can only say this is an embarrassment to those who were running this store several years ago. I challenge Zaxby's to contact and discuss this we me and my 30 minute wait time. I understand they pride themselves on not being just a regular 'FAST FOOD' place, but tonight you lost more than a customer - You lost the a person that really fought hard to get you in the local school and events that made our community love the old Zaxby's! read more

Place is terrible, ordered a lemon pepper sandwich combo and got a plain tender sandwich with about 5 fries on the side.

I don't write reviews ever but this is possibly the worst experience I've ever had at a fast food restaurant, me and my family came to this location and we visited often and it's always better slow, but this time we were waiting over half an hour for our food. It seemed like only one girl was working and everyone else was just sitting there doing nothing and the girl who was working was acting clueless and was getting orders wrong and orders were missing stuff. We had to send our food back because we got a $30 chicken finger platter and they gave us a $10 chicken sandwich instead. We are still waiting as I am typing this. This is absolutely ridiculous and I will never be coming back here again. read more

So I went to lunch at this Zaxbys and was thoroughly disappointed. I've never been to a zaxbys and been disappointed but this one was the first. I got the wings and things and got my meal fairly quick which I was happy with. What I I wasn't happy with is the fact that I never got a fork for my boneless wings. What I really needed was a damn snow suit because of how cold they were. Also had no seasoning for my fries. I went up to the counter and asked for seasoning they tried to charge me 50 cents which is the equivalent to getting charged for sauce on my wings. This location is a disgrace to the Zaxbys franchise and would highly recommend staying clear from these goons in Locust Grove. read more

The wait is always extremely long. They really have to figure out how to work their drive thru efficiency. Food is now always hot so it is not worth the wait most of the time. A positive though, is their sodas. I don't know what it is about their soda that's so amazing. read more

I don't remember ever making a review but this was so bad I wanted to make my first to tell people to just go out to eat at taco Mac or Buffalo Wild Wings rather than here. You can get a couple beers and more food for the same price. I paid almost $30 for a salad and 10 wings with a med sweet tea. Had to wait 25 min to get my order in the drive through. When I got home my salad was only half a salad and the wings were cold. One wing looked more like a burnt bone with skin than an actual chicken wing. Waayyyy too expensive and quality/quantity is not worth the price. Go sit down have a beer and enjoy ur food at a restaurant which is cheaper and better bang for your buck. Also... Avoided a trip to the dentist by not biting down on the fried piece of bone in my salad..... $30... For what? read more

My husband picked up Zaxby's on his way home tonight 03/14/2022. I wish he wouldn't have bothered. He ordered me a wings & things combo which is what I always get. My order consisted of 2 pitiful dried up wings and 3 fingers that were almost as bad and about 6 or 7 tiny little leftover end pieces of fries. The wings had no sauce on them at all. Without a doubt the worst meal I've ever had from Zaxby's. The Locust Grove location has been going down hill for awhile now so this was our last meal from this location. read more

Restaurant was super nasty. Tray the food was served on pretty much stuck to my hands it was so nasty. I messed up and got the grilled chicken sandwich which is probably shame on me bc you don't really go to zaxbys for a grilled chicken sandwich but anyway it had the consistency of rubber. No joke. Tasted ok (the few bites I took) but holy moly it was like biting into alien flesh. I probably should have asked for my money back but between the sticky tray and the condiment area looking like Kyiv I just didn't want to touch any more surfaces and peeled out. I love me some Zaxby's. I especially love the House Zalad with grilled chicken, and you can't forget the side of fried mushrooms. One thing I noticed today is that ALL menu items now have a calorie count beside them. There is a short wait for your items but when they're delivered, they're hot and fresh. GOOD food. read more

Past 5 times I've went it has been a 45 minute process to get my food. Don't recommend this place what so ever. Would rather drive out of the way to Jackson Zaxbys where they are fast and serve hot food. Whoever owns Locust Grove Zaxbys needs to hire a new manager. read more

This is a Southern version of Raisin Canes. I like this place. Very good food and atmosphere. I will be coming back here again!

Zaxby's is another one of our traveling treats. We stopped here for lunch on a Monday during prime lunch hours. I was a little concerned as we entered the restaurant behind a church van full of teenagers. There were about 15 people in line; however, the line moved quickly as there were two cashiers working and we ordered within five minutes of entering restaurant. The food came out quickly too, which surprised me based on the number of orders. They also have one of the new Coke machines with too many flavors to pick. My only complaint is that this machine sends out the ice pellets really fast and they covered the floor. Management did a good job cleaning it and refilling the machine with ice. Several Zaxby's give you cups with ice already in them, so that may be something to consider if the machine keeps doing this. The restaurant was kept clean with as busy as it was. The bathrooms were clean, too, which is a plus when traveling. read more

What is it about Zaxby's and Chic fil A that positions itself as above fast-food? Who knows, but we stopped in here and had a good meal. The ICE was empty for a minute until we told someone. Walking around the outlet mall sure does work up an appetite. I had to find the nearest Zaxby's STAT. Luckily it is directly across the street from the outlets. We used Zaxby's as a pit stop on our way home from the ATL. I ordered the celebration special. It came with 4 fried chicken fingers, crinkle fries, toast, Zax sauce and a drink. We didn't wait very long for our food. As usual I enjoyed my Zaxby's. We'll stop here again on the long trip home. Even though I hate to visit Wal-Mar. There's a Wal-Mart located directly behind Zaxby's. We had to pick up some provisions for the road so it was nice that Wal-Mart was right there. read more

I love Zaxby's for their amazing salads. I stopped at this location at 9:00 PM On a July 26th. Had kids sleeping in back seat so I wanted to grab a salad and continue driving the interstate to make it home. I sat in the drive through for 21 mins. As the drive through window opened the two teenage girls were laughing about how they forgot to give the car in front of me all their drinks. Then they proceeded to give me my salad and drink. As I drive away I realized I was not given a fork. So I turned around, parked, walked in, and asked for the manager. After a few minutes she came to the front and I voiced my displeasure. It was obvious, she couldn't care less. As I waited for the manager there was at least 8-10 teenagers just playing around the whole time. The food was good but terrible management and service. I will not stop at this location ever again. read more

We went through this drive through on our way home from Tanger and I ordered the Blackened Blue Zalad. They put a ton of tomatoes on it (I asked for the tomatoes to be left off) and gave me Mediterranean dressing (ordered Honey French). There were no napkins, no fork, no straw.....another passenger ordered a chicken finger sandwich with nothing on it and got a chicken finger sandwich dripping with Zax sauce and wilted lettuce. After being here several more times and, in fact, becoming The Duke, I must say that any review prior to 2012 should be reconsidered by the reviewers or dismissed by the reader. This is now an awesome Zaxby's location. And with their "meal deals" which include the drink and fries for less than $6 with tax you can't beat it. Great location. Food always hot and fresh. Was pretty busy on the street and chilly that day. I had tenders and fries. Ok to start with this review, I'm not sure of the young lady's name at the counter but she wasn't too helpful as well as having a very quiet voice. I don't think she was good for the front counter personally but such is life. She didn't offer a sauce for the tenders or inform us whether particular meals came with a drink or not. She was just not too informative. About the food; the chicken was fresh and hot but bread was a little tough. Other than that I enjoyed the "mix your own drink machine". I only gave this place one star because I couldn't give it no stars I ordered two chicken parmesan sandwich they advertised to go.. I drove 30 miles to my destination before I ate it and realize that the chicken was extremely salty. It was as if someone poured a box of salt on the chicken. I did not call back that evening as I was attending a play and did not get home until late. . When I called the next morning to speak with the manager someone by the name of Janine told me there was nothing she could do unless I furnish the receipt and both chicken dinners. I told her I threw the dinners away and I was at home and did not have access to dig in the trash can for them but I have the receipt and she told me that was not enough. My question is what has she planning to do with the dinners if I furnish the receipt that should be sufficient. I am 67 years old and too old to be playing games. I did not call her for a free meal I called to complain and make sure she advised her crew not to put so much salt on it next time I was very disappointed and will not return read more
