Forgot to take pics, but stopped there for the 2nd time on a road trip. Love the small town "old-time" downtown area - restaurant is in a cool old building. Salads are fresh. First time we visited I had a meatball sub and hubs had a calzone. Huge portions - both delicious! This time we ordered pizza by the slice - love that you can get a slice or two of any of the specialty pizzas on the menu rather than ordering a whole pie! The slices are large - one was plenty for me; hubs had two - we tried "The Engineer" and the "Margherite" - several pizza names are train-related - there is an old train station right across the street and the train runs by! Thanks to Christina for excellent service!! We'll be back when we're passing through again.

Had a couple of slices. Overall, excellent slices. Great flavor, good cheese, good crust, good sauce. Could've used just a little more sauce as it was just a hair dry, but that could be because it was a slice not a whole pie. The only thing I would suggest would be a little bit better bubble management. One of my slices had a huge bubble, but the slices were huge to start with.

(Please note we have been here like 20 times and I've never felt the need to update my original review). Well I have to say we were a bit disappointed in dinner tonight. I'm not sure what was off but the pizza just wasn't as good as the last time we ate here. I think some of it had to do with less cheese but really it was just Less. I hate to write this review and not give them four or five stars but I have to. I wish I could pinpoint what exactly was missing. Lots. We ordered the Main Street with no olives and half no mushroom. I also told our server that we wanted the same pizza but to go. I guess I just assumed that they would cook that one right before we were ready to pay the bill but unfortunately it went through the oven at the same time as the one we were going to sit in and eat. So it sat in a box, under a heat lamp, for 30 mins and died. I mean it was gonna go in the fridge as soon as we got home but that's a little different than first having it die under a heat lamp.....know what I mean? Anyway our pizza came out piping hot and smelling delicious and WRONG. Olives (green and black) and mushrooms all over it. So Honey says "are those olives?" (He loathes them) and I'm like "are there mushrooms on both sides? (Not a fan) and she picks the pizza up and scurries off with it. A few minutes later our server says they brought the wrong pizza and ours is just coming out. She comes back with a pizza that's right - but is obviously NOT "fresh out of the oven" but it is our actual pizza. Well, we were starving at this point so we ate the "fresh out of the oven" heat lamp dead pizza. We are getting close to being done with this one and I ask her to go ahead and have them make our to go pizza. No need. They made it when they made the original pizza.........great, just great. Toppings -off Pizza -dead Service -off Beer -icy cold Overall -disappointed-but will give them another chance.

We placed our order online which was easy to do. Once we arrived to pick up our food, we were greeted and assisted right away. We placed an order for cheesy bread in house. The service was great. They have in door and outdoor seat and plenty of it. The calzones were huggggeee! They were sooooo good. And the cheesy bread was very good as well! I can't wait to go back.

Great shop to stop in for a bite. Speedy service and nice staff. The au jus for the panini was full of flavorful and wish I had more. The bread was perfect for soaking up all the juice. Friends loved the pizza, but didn't personally try it so don't have much to say.

The food was very dry. I don't usually leave reviews but the pizza was not good. The pizza was mostly crust, they could have at least spread the sauce and cheese out more. The servers are very nice though the food on the other hand not my favorite. Also the sandwiches are dry. Maybe I just came on a bad day.

This is my favorite pizza spot on Locust Grove. They have local craft beer on tap, a great variety of pizzas and always great service here! It is in downtown locust Grove so you can park in the lot beside the train platform (out front) or in the back parking lot behind the building. This place is great for kids and they have an outdoor patio if that's your style.

It's a really nice pizza spot in Locust Grove. They have family trivia night on Wednesday's and the calzones are amazing. The calzones are also pretty big so you might be able to share it. Parking is limited in Locust Grove to try to get here early. They offer outside seating and have beers on draft or bottle. You can dine in or carry out and they make the food in the middle of the room basically. It was pretty cool watching the entire cooking process. It's kid friendly and fairly priced.

Came on a Friday night, surprised to see they closed at 9pm as the place was pretty full. Place appeared to be pretty clean Got the cheese sticks they were solid came with uninspiring typical marina sauce. Tried to order the taco pizza but they no longer offer that which was a huge bummer. Ended up getting the bbq pizza and it was pretty good. Not too saucy which was great. Customer service overall was solid, very solid pizza place, would come back.

The Pizza is amazing, the staff are not pleasant or friendly, in fact quite rude. But the pizza is worth it if u want a take away.

Food, speed, atmosphere were all top notch. No matter how much time passes between visits, they never disappoint. Get the cheese bread!

Food was good. Our waitress had the personality of a washcloth. They were out of mushrooms. And the wait for the food took a long time.

Love this place! The locomotive and taco pizza are the family favorites. Eventually we'll try some other kinds but these are just too good!

Not my first time here, but it is my first review for them! This is really good pizza! (Is there…read morebad pizza?) very traditional, thin, Neopolitan style crust. Not huge, but two or three people could enjoy. (6 slices cut) I wanted to try something different so we got two and boxed the rest. Shelby greeted and seated us, and although she lacked a little knowledge on the beer menu, she made up for that with a trip to the bar to investigate our questions on sour beer, and came back with two excellent samples! We settled on a Dr. Robot and the Charcut-a-pie. I loved the toppings and balsamic drizzle. Goat cheese and arugula just go together. A little honey and I was in heaven! The crust on this one was a little well done, which disappointed but, the overall flavor was on point. Next, we sampled the Spicy Italian. I'm usually pretty good with spicy things, and while this was no exception, it did have both of us in a small sweat! If you are averse to spicy, stick with something else. This crust was also cooked and not over done. I'm not sure what McDonoughs' obsession is with vaults, but it seems to be a recurring theme around the square. You'll find vaults or at least doors that look like vaults all over. The rest of the decor inside and outside was well done. Exposed brick gives it immediate rustic charm, while black floors, raw wood art, and leather stools wrap the package nicely. I definitely like their lighting! Oversized bulbs hung around the pizza oven bar (which you can sit at if there's space) and giant hoop rings finish the rest of the space. It isn't that glaring light that spotlights your table, it's just a nice warm ambient light that makes you wanna pour a vintage red into a wine glass over and over. Oh! I almost forgot, they do have an outdoor patio up front, so on those less humid days and nights, I'll definitely be hanging out there!

The restaurant wasn't very crowded. Our waitress was great. Very high energy. She offered great recommendations. Everything was perfect. We ordered Cheesy Bread as an appetizer and we split a Philly Fry Pie pizza! The drinks were also good -especially for the price. This is definitely a place we will come back to in the future.
