What a wonderful new local business!…read more I want to make this prominent: They make the viral Dubai Kunafa chocolate bars! I had a whole meal first that was fantastic, but if you are wanting to try these chocolate bars, go there now! So creamy and crunchy and delicious! Now, the store is bright and welcoming, spotlessly clean with a small dining area for casual meals. This is not a cozy romantic place, but if you want to try some new things it would make for a fun date night, and certainly a great place to grab a meal with friends or family. The staff are enthusiastic and accommodating, and the owner is very warm and interested in making you happy. We had the smoked meat sandwich and the Jordanian mansaf lamb. The smoked meat was better than what I had a Schwartz's Deli in Montreal; very lean, moisture and flavourful with a creamy mustard sauce. The fries that came with it were feshly made skin-on fries that were perfectly crispy. The mansaf was wonderful too. The meat was so tender, it almost didn't need to be chewed. It was served with minimal sauce on the dish and a side bowl of sauce so you could add just the right amount for your liking. The yogurt sauce had just the right amount of yogurt tang, which balance well with the lamb without being overwhelming. The portion sizes were big. I actually thought I might end up taking home leftovers, but I did manage to eat it all. I did take home an assortment of desserts, including some baklava that had more pistachios in it than I'd ever seen! And the nuts were stuck together with exactly the right amount of honey to hold them together so they didn't fall out when I bit into the pastry. The owner made us some Karak tea to ask our opinion of his recipe. This warmly spiced tea, much like very strong Chai, was a very satisfying end to the meal. Another patron who had had Karak tea before suggested he use a bit less cinnamon to allow the other spices to shine. The owner thanked her for her feedback and said he would adjust his recipe accordingly. This place has only been open for a couple of weeks, so they're just getting the word out that they exist. They are open late, until 11pm each night, and have lots of free parking available. They can do curbside pickup if you wish, and they also do catering for events of any size. Please do visit this lovely place and welcome them to the neighbourhood!

We also picked up some desserts to take home afterwards, and have thoroughly enjoyed them over the last few days. Excellent quality and wonderful flavors. I will definitely be going back.

After walking inside you get the same cozy feeling and the smells just warm your soul up. They put so much dedication from the way they speak with you to the quality of the food, I was really satisfied. I didn't know this but you actually get $5 off your first order of $25 or more if you order online through their website shawermaplus.com - love supporting local! Since I was really craving mediterranean I decided to go all out and order. First, there was so much variety on the menu that there wasn't anything I couldn't order. Shawerma Plus has some of the best value meals so I decided to order the Saj Super Family Tray, Chicken Shawerma Poutine, and Baqlawah for dessert. My Saj Super Family Tray came out so crispy and flavorful - seriously filled with so much umami. I love how the poutine uses their own sauce and it really made for a unique combo. To finish, the baqlawah was the perfect finish with the sweet drizzle. For a Mediterranean craving, I will definitely be back. Thank you for all that you do!

As a middle eastern establishment you should know that Toum should never be mayonnaise based. And should include ...some... garlic I kind of resent spending money on dinner tonight

Holy moly! I don't know where to start…read more First things first, 8:30 is too early for you to have the chicken off the spits. Shawarma is late night food. You should be rocking that spit until the last minute. Second things second, if you pull the chicken out of a Tupperware container and throw it on a flat top, you're destroying any caramelization that you got from the rotisserie. It also points to the business models origin. Pita pit. Next if you have a giant sign on your wall that says "authentic Syrian cuisine" you can't be using the pita pit business model. Additionally, tomatoes shouldn't be green. Pickled turnip shouldn't be dry and brown. Ice burg lettuce shouldn't be floppy and old. The pickles were too salty, but that's nitpicking. To top it all off they got my order wrong. I ordered a plate and a wrap. I only got a plate. Ok, I can understand that mistake, but if you thought we were sharing a plate you should give us an empty plate to allow sharing. The guys behind the line were too stunted to understand what I was on about, so I just grabbed a plate for myself. Dirty. Greasy. Whatever, I was only using it to keep their table clean from pita drop off. What you call garlic sauce I call mayonnaise, by the way. There's a much better much cheaper shawarma place just up the road called Pita Hut. Go there. Don't go here.
