Since there are no strict guidelines as to when a cavity begins, a doctor that wishes to extract money from patients will diagnose the smallest discoloration or plaque build up as a cavity. The problem with this practice is that once the tooth is filled, the tooth will never be as strong and viable as it was as a natural tooth. Please get a second opinion if you find yourself in a similar situation to mine, surprised to find that even after years of proper dental hygiene and dentist visits, this dentist diagnoses you with an extraordinary amount of cavities, whilst you have no tooth pain at all.
