I have to think and keep hope alive that it'll be better in the long run after Dr. Navarro finishes because right now my mouth is certainly not GQ. TL/DR Disclosure, I got tackled playing football when I was about 7 or 8 and dental repairs in the 80's were not as advanced as they are now. After more sore throats than a healthy adult should be getting, my primary doctor recommended I see a oral surgeon to find the cause. So after almost 30+ years, it ended up that I needed to come to Dr. Navarro to help remodel my smile. I came to Dr Navarro for the convenience that his office is close to my job, and I like to keep my PTO for fun stuff be it attending a rave or an extra cash out check at the end of the year. During my first visit, I had a full dental exam including a 3D xray of my mouth. He confirmed that one tooth would have to be removed and that I'll need a bone graft before looking handsome again. Based on the complexity of the procedure he gave me prescriptions for antibiotic, a medicated mouthwash and pain pills to start the day before the procedure. The operating room wasn't closed in, but had a view of the Miami Lakes cow field. Office music was poppy instead of "cortavena" sappy. The pain was as expected from anything dental, but his staff was pleasant and attentive during the procedure and in followup. I would definitely recommend him. read more

DO NOT GO HERE if you don't want multiple surprise bills after your procedure. I had a consultation on June 10 to get wisdom teeth removed, I do have dental insurance, I have a paper confirmation showing how much I would have to pay for this procedure ($83.24 (day of consultation) + $866.22. day of surgery) which is what corresponded to me, and the rest would be the insurance which the girl "checked" with BEFORE going into the room to give me such paper. My surgery was originally schedudled for July 1, due to work, I had to change my appt to August 12. ( I called to change appt, no one ever mentioned surprise bills. When the day of surgery arrived, I paid my schedulled $866.22 PLUS $27 that came up out of nowhere. Fine, I paid. After surgery Dr. Navarro ( who BTW, "retired" the day after my surgery) never prescribed antibiotics ( only Ibuprofen, which I was only able to take every 8hrs) I spent a total of 5 days in terrible, horrible, intolerable pain, getting an infection because I was not able to open my mouth wide enough to brush my teeth well nor eat, not to mention extremely swollen. After I couldn't take the pain anymore, I had to go back to the clinic only to have the new doctor, Dc. Bayron take away the stitches to insert a medicine in the open hole where the tooth was in order to alleviate the pain and avoid a much bigger infection. Moving forward, 3 weeks I get a bill for $709.14, I called Sept 24th to get a billing explanation, was told they would call me right back, never did! I called again Oct 4th, only for the billing girl to tell  me that the insurance paid less then what they thought and I am responsible for the rest. $709!! after already paying $893 .... The girl that is supposed to verify the insurance DOES NOT KNOW WHAT SHE IS DOING AND SHOULD NOT WORK THERE. They are false advertising, giving patience wrong information and then bill you separately with a threat that if you don't pay you get sent to collection. I will be contacting the FL board of Dentistry, Miami-Dade Consumer Protection, Florida Health and reporting these people. They are a fraud and they definately lie to you about how much you have to pay. If I would have known that this surgery would cost me a total of $1600+ I would have NOT done it. If ur looking for a dentist that only cares if they get paid or not. Then here u go. I call and tell them my son is experiencing discomfort and pain in the morning around 9am and if I didn't call at 4:58pm to see what's going on, they were more worried if they are going to be able to bill my insurance then the well being of a patient. I wouldn't recommend this practice to my worst enemy. No sirven, just an FYI. I have insurance but they blame the insurance company for not picking there phone call up. Dr. Navarro is a friendly and relatable oral surgeon and my oldest son had his four wisdom teeth removed in his office without issue or complaint. Unfortunately, his office staff is exceedingly unprofessional, rude and non-compliant and was not accommodating or helpful at all to both my husband and myself regarding my daughter's planned surgery. I am hard-of-hearing and cannot hear on the phone and needed to discuss our financial responsibility prior to the procedure so we could plan accordingly; as I was not allowed in the office, I had my husband call and they steadfastly refused to give him any information regarding cost or details of the planned procedure. My daughter was instructed to let them know they could discuss these details with us. Regardless, they continued to shut us out and stated that she was old enough to handle on her own. IT is NOT their determination to make whether my daughter, who has Autism and a learning disability, is capable of handling her own medical decisions and payment. They were told from day one of her situation and it would be appreciated if they discussed all costs and planned procedures/tests with her father and myself up-front. On the day of her surgery we accompanied her to the office as she was extremely nervous and scared, we stood by the door and did not move further into the office, merely just looking to catch the attention of the receptionist so we could again explain the circumstances and give our numbers for them to call when procedure was finished or if our daughter needed us. Before we could even speak a member of the staff brusquely barked at my daughter in a condescending tone, "how old are you sweetie", to which she replied 20. The woman then turned to us and pointed with her finger and loudly ordered, "then they need to GO!" At that point, we were already tired of such horrible and unprofessional behavior and we looked at each other and were already deciding to forgo the surgery and look for another provider. My husband mentioned to my daughter to ask about payment plans and payment expectations, knowing that those are things she does not handle well. At this point, we were on the fence. She came out and told us they don't break up the costs and it all had to be paid upfront via cash or credit card--mind you, we have excellent dental insurance and it is customary for the insurance to pay its portion first and then issue and explanation of benefits to patient detailing their cost. We had no idea what our financial expectations were as NO ONE discussed them with us prior and would not make these things clear prior to day of surgery. Thus, we were shocked to learn we would be expected to pay $780.00 upfront that day. Had we been given advance notice of our portion, we might have been able to pull together some money, however, we have limited means and could not do so on such a short notice. Needless to say, we are looking for an alternative surgeon and will be notifying the ADA of their non-compliance and extreme inaccessibility and lack of general empathy or even respectful behaviors to clients and their guardians. They do not provide alternate forms of communication for patients/guardians who are Deaf or hard-of-hearing and they do not have the skills or knowledge of how to deal with neurodiverse clients who may need emotional support and/or other supports. read more

I got my four wisdom teeth taken out 2 weeks ago. Dr. Navarro is super friendly and cheerful! He makes you feel comfortable and he works to meet your needs. I did it without the laughing gas and I didn't feel a thing! Recovery was quick and not very painful. I just came back today for a check up and they were ready for me in less than 5 minutes. I had my wisdom teeth removed with Dr. Navarro in the beginning of February. I was terrified going into this surgery, mainly because it's the first surgical procedure I have to do. However, Jaime was vey informative and he knew just what to say to help me stay calm in the manner. The actual procedure hardly hurt, only mild discomfort which was inevitable. Very good doctor. My teenage son needed his wisdom teeth out and we were referred to Dr. Navarro. In doing the work-up x-rays he identified a cyst that had been missed by three other doctors. All the previous reviews are fake, I just went and spend 45 minutes and they not even called me. I asked them before going that I couldn't wait long lines or too much time; and there was no one when I got there, they attended more than 5 other clients, while they were laughing back there.
