She would not highlight my hair unless I did it HER WAY which starting cost $310 and I did not want what she suggested, I went there knowing exactly what I wante. I simply went to another salon the next day and got exactly what I was asking for and for exactly what I expected to pay. This first two times i visited this salon my hair color was terrible, they do not know what they are doing and they are very snobby. Wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, only had to wait 5-10 minutes (arrived at 8am). Little background: Looks like 6 ladies working here, 4 work stations, 3 sinks, 5 1/2 dryers (1/2 a dryer cause it looks like it works but the button was missing to turn it on). Also, you have to sign your name in a book, in the front. They take Discover, Visa & MasterCard. The lady with the birthmark/mole on the corner of her left eye seems to have the bat phone as it kept going off, interrupting the music. Also if you want a good deep scalp wash, have that lady wash your hair. I'm not into that but some are. I see how this place can get busy. Wish there was something comparable 15 miles north, but I will be returning as they do quality work.

I also noticed that she carried a nice variety of curly hair care brands but at no point did I feel she was being pushy about selling them to me. During my session, she was great about only giving me a trim and a shape up. She didn't cut too much off and made sure to add movement w the way she cut it. Next, we went over my current hair regimen, what works and what isn't working. Then she went over key ingredients to look for and product types that would work well for my hair. While she was washing and styling my hair, she had me hold a mirror during crucial steps so I could see what she was doing so I could replicate the process at home. La Bella Salon has been my home salon for about 3 years now…read more The salon is in a building that looks like it was once a home, so it has a nice warm feel to it. The place is extremely clean and well kept. There are many booths here, some are on the main floor, and there are an additional 6 booths upstairs. My stylist, Ashleigh, is great! All the other stylists seem very nice as well. I can always count on a good experience here and the pricing is reasonable. I always make appointments when I come, but I believe some stylists do walk ins. If you are looking for a new salon, consider La Bella!
