Just moved with this company on Tuesday and the three men who were assigned my move did not speak english, scratched up my walls both old and new house. Cost discussed on initial call was not honored. Paid for 3 workers where only 2 did most so the total time was EXTRA long. We had to go behind them placing in correct rooms, even though we were telling them throughout, had to move heavy items off fragile glass or mater to prevent items being broken. They left items behind at my old property. They made a mess in one of our bathrooms doing a sink bath basically -- water all over sink and floor. I WILL NEVER USE THIS COMPANY AGAIN! When I emailed and called with complaints customer satisfaction did not matter. If the above behavior is highly trained I am afraid to see untrained according to their standards. I was prior military and moved many times --- I have never had as much issues before. They are getting a 1 star because it is minimum required by app. read more

I used this moving company in 2021 & thought they were efficient, punctual, & professional so I thought I would use them again for my current move. BAD DECISION. From initial contact for a quote I thought something was off because the process wasn't as streamlined as before. Then I get a call the day before my move that my reserved timeslot of 9AM isn't feasible so i'm being bumped to 11AM. An emergency arose during the move where I had to make a few runs less than 1mile from the to & from move destination, which I think they took advantage of the no supervision & ran up the clock. I made my runs & came back to the movers nowhere to be found but there was a lunch sack with crackers on my couch so I guess they took a break in the middle of the move. Anywho, $700 later after a 2/hr $398 estimate I'm missing a glass shelf piece to my tv stand & the company has gone radio silent as to what happened to it. We used them back in 2018 and had a great experience even though they did cause some minor damages to some of our furniture and damaged the walls in both our old place and our new place. But they were under different management back then and were good about sending someone out to do the repairs. The movers were fantastic and extremely professional. Fast forward to 2021, they're apparently under new management and the movers they sent out were horrible. They were rude, incompetent, slow, and inexperienced. Our move took much longer than it should've as we were only moving furniture but these guys needed to take a smoke break every 20 minutes. It was ridiculous. THEN they damaged our hardwood flooring and refused to take responsibility for it. The mover denied ever dropping his tools on our new flooring even though my wife saw him do it right in front of her. To add insult to injury, their manager NICK KARL promised us they'd send out their handyman to repair the damages to our flooring, only for them to tell us the next day they changed their mind bc our move was not expensive enough for them to care. Not only was Nick extremely immature and condescending during our interactions with him, but he proved to have no professional experience whatsoever. It's really unfortunate that this company went down the gutter after this new ownership/management. El and Tom were much better people. read more

I had an excellent experience with Zebna moving my one bedroom apartment into a new house. I chose Zebna based upon its excellent reviews on Yelp and elsewhere. Zebna surpassed my expectations in every way. Before the move, I had trepidation about the timing and amount of items, and the office responded to each of my questions and concerns. On the day of the move, the movers showed up exactly on time. They completed the move very quickly, and much faster and less expensive than I had experienced with two other local companies moving the exact same amount of furniture in my past two moves. Even though they were moving quickly, they treated both my furniture and my new home with great care. They were polite and professional throughout. As a final note, the movers went above and beyond to keep they day stress-free. I had an issue with the loading dock and elevator with my building (someone else blocked the dock when I had reserved it) so the Zebna movers had nowhere to park when they first arrived. The movers were gracious about the situation, and helped find an alternative place to park and began moving my apartment while I worked with my building to get access to the loading dock. This made everything more efficient and mitigated what could have been a difficult day. All in all, a great experience and I would recommend Zebna to anyone. read more

They were very professional and made our move extremely easy. We rented a Uhaul for the small things but hired them to move 3 beds/mattresses and a couch. Very worth it to make sure all of our pieces survived the move! They also came back free of charge to fix the couch since our L couch was accidentally not re-connected during the move. We were looking for a professional, responsible and reliable company to move us from Falls Church to Alexandria. We had just installed new hardwood floors in the new house, and naturally wanted the movers to work very careful when moving the furniture. Thankfully, I got all I that wanted. I had voiced my concerns ahead of time and Eli from Zebna movers was there to address my concerns before, during and after the big day. Moving is very stressful so having someone who you can trust and rely on definitely helps to alleviate the stress The movers were awesome, very courteous and knew what they were doing. No damage occurred to the home or property. The cost of the move is to what I'd expect in this area and quite fair so no complaints in terms of cost. This was an awesome experience in every way! The movers came during their scheduled time, and for everything done in a sufficient amount of time. Not to mention the price paid for the service was reasonable. Didn't have a fantastic experience moving with these guys a few weeks ago. They were alright, they were responsive and polite in the lead-up, showed up on-time on the day of the move. The two movers themselves were civil enough, but perhaps just extremely inexperienced- the move took about twice as long as the last time that I moved the exact same haul of stuff, with a company I think called Global Movers, and so ended up costing far, far more than it should have. They also couldn't figure out how to get my wooden bed frame apart for a solid hour, and indeed, never actually did- we only managed after I thought to call my father, who has taken it apart before, and we were instructed in what is, according to him, a very, very common mechanism. You just had to hit the side piece lightly with a hammer to pop it out of the foot/headboard piece. My previous movers had no trouble taking apart the frame. I wasn't charged by Zebna for that wasted hour or so after I made it clear that I expected not to be charged, but I wouldn't move with these guys again. I have moved a lot in my life, using national companies for cross-country moves, international companies for moves overseas and back and local two guys with a truck kinda companies. I can honestly say that Zebna Movers have been the best movers I have ever hired! My excellent experience with them started with the easy booking process. Excellent communication and responsiveness and flexibility (I originally booked one date and then changed my mind and decided to move a day earlier...no problem). The day of the move is always super stressful but the two movers who were assigned to move me from a one bedroom apartment to another condo across town arrived on time and quickly got to work. I explained that I needed their help packing up the kitchen and they got to work with speed and care. Within about three hours my place was ready to transport to my new home (a condo on the third floor of a walkup!!!). They didn't bat an eye and got to work unloading and bringing up all the boxes and furniture. Throughout the entire process they were super professional and courteous. The cost is by hour and I was surprised by how much cheaper it was than my previous move with a national company (where no stairs were involved). So first of all, the quote on thumbtack we received was wrong. It says for two movers $89 dollars per hour. When we received the contract it stated $109. The fees on thumbtack vs reality not real. Also the move took forever! We were told to move a 1 bedroom it would take around 3 hours. 6 hours and 40 minutes and we lived only 7 minutes down the street! On top of that when we were moving in, we had a meeting with the property manager. In his office is a TV than pans through all the cameras in the building. He stopped it on the loading doc. All I can say is we paid ALOT of money for the movers to be constantly texting on their phones, and just hanging out down by the loading docs. Very disappointed. We have used many movers and this is by far the worst. Will not be using them again. read more

They carried heavy stuff to sometimes awkward locations in the house. They helped with assembly of some items as we had agreed to prior. And it was all reasonably priced. Great movers, very hard workers, we moved my 1 bedroom apt in just under 2 hours. Vladimir and the other guy were awesome (I worked, too). I hope not to have to move again too soon, but if I do, I will call Zebna. I also had compared more than 25 quotes, and Zebna was the least expensive one that had only good reviews on yelp. Anything cheaper and it was mixed. I was ok paying a little bit more but having no drama, no headache. There were others with good reviews which wanted to charge double. Zebna was perfect, and El Ibra the manager was very responsive and called me after to make sure that everything went great, and to see if I was unhappy with anything so he could fix it. I wasn't. I cannot- with good conscience recommend them. I read the Yelp reviews and decided to give them a go. Moving from a small place to another small place, we were given a pretty reasonable quote. The guys did show up on time and were polite. However, they were not experienced at all. I should've known there was a major red flag when we noticed there was already a major delay even before leaving our old place and my husband had to jump in to make moving faster. Quite frankly, he probably moved more than half the stuff himself. Even when it didn't seem necessary to break some of the smaller furniture apart (since it was a very short move), the guy in charge insisted on breaking them apart, and causing damages to the furniture where it took hours to put them back together. All of the guys were clearly inexperienced and bumped into our walls, which took chunks out of the drywall and scratches down the walls. The furniture was scratched up as well. In the end, we went way over the estimated quote by more than double with damages to our old place, as well as the new place. Please look elsewhere. read more

The movers brought too small of a truck for my one-bedroom move. This required an additional trip. While I was compensated somewhat with a small discount, it was a huge hassle. Additionally, most of my furniture ended up with nicks, dents, and scratches that were not there before, which I've never had happen with this magnitude in other moves.
