We needed a 100 year old white oak removed. It was close to the house and over the roof in some places. Their website was very informative and it made contacting them very easy. Jon was quick to reply and came out to give us a quote in the next couple of days. They were good at keeping us up to date on when the work would actually be scheduled. They built a fence it was the biggest pos I've ever seen within 3 weeks the slatts were coming lose They used staples instead of screws both gates were crooked the main entrance gate wasn't flush with the house (crooked) one fence section was 11-1/2 long there rest were 8 ft and than 5-1/2 long all fence sections should have been around 8 to look right its as if they didn't use tape measure or a level fence is crooked there business model is get the job done ASAP and move on instead of doing quality work we also had them design our landscaping we had only one request we want plants that don't attract bee's he gave us 6 plants that attract every bee known to man read more

Bad Business Practice. I called Zehr Propery for a quote, the owner John came out to give an estimate. He indicated that he would be able to help us with the landscaping and would email me the next day with a quote. Instead, I got a phone call from his admin, telling me that John was "too busy with all the other projects lined up over the next few months" that we should go with another company. I was a bit taken back by this. For starters, the owner himself should not have shown up at my property to even inquire about giving an estimate if he had too many projects to take on another one. Some common best practices of other companies is to put in on their voice mail or express up front immediately that they have too many projects now and are not taking new customers at this time. Instead, he still shows up and then has his secretary call me the next day, to tell me that he can't take on any more projects at this time. I think the owner himself should have called to tell me this and also, if he was too busy, set up a time in the future to still do business with his company. To me this goes to show that our project was not one that he wanted to take on and therefore, said he was too busy. A good company would have made it clear upfront that they were too busy, would have personally called to explain and also made the door open to revisit this project in the future. I will certainly never reach out to this company again and hopefully after reading this, he changes the way he does business and how he treats another potential client in the future! read more

Needed 2 trees taken down and the stumps ground out. They answered my call promptly and were out the next day to look at the trees. I received a very handy estimate to my email with a contract to sign. They were out a couple weeks later and took down the trees. It was all done very safely and all debris was cleaned up. A week later a man came and did a great job grinding out the stumps and filled them in with dirt. He too did a great job cleaning up. I couldn't be happier with their service and the price was reasonable. I highly recommend them. read more

This spring we had ZPM do a Spring clean up(clean out beds and yard of leaves and sticks) as well as provide and spread 12 yards of mulch. This was done while we were in Florida. When we returned the first thing that we noticed is that the beds had not been cleaned out and mulch had applied over the dead leaves. Also one area was not mulched. Trying to be a good customer we paid the bill prior to returning home. Mistake! I emailed them twice and did not receive a response to either e-mail. I asked them if anyone checked the work after it was done. No response. Their lack of response says a lot to me. To me they know they did a poor job and just tried to make a buck while taking advantage that we were not home. Very unprofessional. One thing they are good at is sending the bill immediately after they have completed their work. Our total bill was over $1,400. I still can't believe they did not respond in any way to our e-mails.
