Ordered flowers online for delivery for a birthday. The day of delivery, Zeidler's called me to say the address did not exist. I said I have had them deliver to this particular address many times. Turns out, they had some digits crossed. No big deal. The delivery person was in the subdivision and would make the delivery. Fine....Until it wasn't. I had put in the "instructions" section to leave the flowers on the front porch by the bench. I left work and went to the house to retrieve the flowers, and they were surprisingly not there. When I called Zeidler's and asked where they were, they said they could not not deliver the flowers because no one was home! I knew the recipient would not be home when I ordered them. That's why I left the instructions for them to be left on the porch by the bench! They lady on the phone, "R", said they did not leave the flowers because it's too hot outside. Are you kidding me? Not Zeidler's decision to make! Pretty sure if I have to pay the price they want for the flowers, then I get to make the decisions, here. I asked why was I given the option to leave delivery instructions, if Zeidler's won't follow them? Furthermore, why didn't they call me THEN if they knew they were not going to deliver them? They called me about the address. Why not call me when they decided definitively NOT to deliver my order at all??? Instead I had to call Zeidler's to find out they were not delivering my order. What was the plan, then? Where were these flowers going? Ridiculous. I told them to give me my money back if they are not going to deliver them! They said they would. They better. Additionally, they called the would-be recipient about the flowers NOT being delivered. I can't believe I have to explain this, but seriously, you should not require the recipient's phone number to call THEM when there is a delivery issue! The flowers were a surprise for a birthday. Instead, what you surprised the recipient with is the fact that they are NOT having flowers delivered to them on their birthday! So, Happy Birthday!!! How stupid. I have used Zeidlers many times before, but never will again. What a ridiculous mess. read more

I live in New York City and wanted to get flowers delivered to my mom in Evansville for Mother's Day. It's so very difficult to book a delivery for that day, but fortunately I used Google and found Zeidler's. I was just so happy that they had a delivery open for Mother's Day. The service was polite and professional. I received an email confirmation of my order. Next morning, the flowers were delivered to my mother's doorstep (she's not an early riser)! I received a delivery confirmation plus a photo of the flowers on her porch. My mom told me she was "thrilled" when she found out she had a delivery, opened the door and her flowers were there! So, many thanks to Zeidler's for helping make Mother's Day so nice for us this year! read more

Wanted to send a plant to my sister-in-law in Indiana for her birthday. I live in Nevada. The woman at Zeidler's was very friendly and helpful, confirming the location of the assisted living facility and that Zeidler's could deliver the plant tomorrow. Thanks so much! Yelp was a great resource - I originally called FTD yesterday with my order and received an email from FTD this morning that my delivery would be next Wednesday (after my SIL's birthday). I ordered a snack basket ..... needless to say I paid for deluxe basket that includes soda . I got the cheap version for the deli price . But, what really pissed me off was I called twice to make sure my order would be delivered before 4 pm . Both times I was assured it would . That didn't happen. He walk in with no basket so I called and they said delivery is there now . It was 4:39 . The delivered to the house so the surprise was ruined and with a tiny cheap looking basket . I was embarrassed to say the least. Called manager she said bring in basket for refund . It wasn't even worth the trip or my time . This was worth the lesson . We went to Zeidler's to inquire about wedding flowers. We showed up in person and were told we needed to have an appointment. No big deal that's easy. We asked to make an appointment while we were in and they refused. We needed to get online and go through a portal to make an appointment. What a joke. They looked at us shrugged their shoulders and said sorry. Here I stand with a checkbook in my pocket and I can't even make an appointment in person. We went down Franklin St and found Flowers and More who had us in and out in 25 mins. Night and day different experience. Left my check on Franklin St that day. I don't think I'll go back to Zeidler's. Beautiful flower arrangements, but very poor customer service. read more

I ordered flowers to be delivered to my daughter at school for her birthday. The online ordering stated schools would be delivered to by 2:30 pm so when it asked for a time to be delivered I picked "anytime" since they specifically said it would be delivered by 2:30 pm. My daughter didn't receive the flowers so I called and the customer service representative said it was my fault because I didn't specify it was a school. Yes I did it was literally a question on the online order form. So then she decided to tell me it was my fault for not picking the early delivery time. Ok, I did not do that because the website specifically said it would automatically be delivered early. That customer service lady had the audacity to say "You didn't specify what type of school. Dance schools close late in the evening". Ok I didn't know Evansville was the home of Julliard of the Midwest. Needless to say, I filled out a bit and she hung up on me. I called back after another party informed me that EVSC doesn't accept flower deliveries for students, but the flowers had been attempted to be delivered and that was confirmed by a different customer service rep. Clearly if they don't know why your flowers weren't delivered, they will just make up reasons as they go and those reasons will be all your fault. read more

We hired Zeidler's to do our wedding flowers. The prices were reasonable in comparison with other florists, which surprised me because Zeidler's is knowing for being the big-ticket florist in Evansville. Both the design/retail and wholesale divisions were easy and flexible to work with. I was slightly disappointed with the silk pomander balls we ordered for our aisle decorations. They were glued together in the middle and some of them fell apart before they were even hung for the ceremony. We did go with the more inexpensive option (silk rather than fresh) but I still would've liked to see them made more durably. Also, I felt a little rushed through the bridal consultation and I never thought to tell our designer that I wanted the charms on my bouquet up higher than what they were. They were dangling on ribbon almost to the bottom of the stems, and I would've rather them be wrapped tightly not hanging much at all. Again, I didn't think to mention this, but I was also never asked. We had a coordinator, but as far as I know flowers were delivered on time. They arrived in perfect condition with adequate water, and all the bouquets & corsages looked exactly how I pictured. Highly recommended for wedding flowers, just make sure you be specific with your designer in regards to what you want! Don't just assume they are mind-readers! read more

I've ordered from Zeidler's for years and this is the second time I've been very disappointed. For almost $60, I really expected this to look better than something I could have picked up at WalMart for less than $20. I won't be ordering again. Very unhappy with the experience from zeidlers. Purchased a $50 rose arrangement for my wife for our anniversary. A few hours after receiving the roses, my wife noticed the glass vase was cracked and leaking water. The crack went across the front of most of the vase. I called zeidlers and they told me they would replace the arrangement free of charge. I went and picked up the arrangement and it looks as though it was thrown together in under 5 minutes. They could have offered to deliver the replacement arrangement as well but they did not. Very disappointed. Update: the manager called and apologized numerous times and made it right which I appreciate. read more

Ordered flowers last night to be delivered today. My mother (who they were for) was not home, so the flowers were not delivered. I called Zeidler's (from out of state), explained what happened and that my mom was back home. The lady that I spoke to over the phone was incredibly sweet and helpful, even apologizing for them not being delivered (obviously wasn't her fault that they were not home). They were only open for 3 more hours, but she assured me someone would be out to deliver them again, from Evansville to the far side of Newburgh. They were delivered about 1.5 hr later and my mom completely FLIPPED. Thank you, Zeidler's, for helping me to make my mom's day brighter, even from 1,500 miles away! I ordered a bouquet from Zeidler's a couple of years back for my Grandfather's funeral. I was across the country and sadly, unable to attend the funeral. It was also short notice and I didn't really know what to order, but they helped me through the options over the phone and made sure to deliver on time, even sent me a pic of the bouquet before they delivered. I got a number of compliments on the flowers from multiple family members and I felt like the price was definitely fair for the quality and professionalism of their work. I ordered flowers for a friend's son's funeral. I filled out all of the requested information including what time I wanted the flowers to be delivered. I went to the funeral home the evening of the day they were supposed to be delivered (delivery prior to noon) and the flowers were not there. I called Zeidler's and asked why they weren't delivered. They indicated that they saw the obituary which said the visitation would be the next day so they moved the delivery to the next day -- without asking me. I had wanted the delivery for the family visitation on the day I requested delivery and this information was not public. If they were going to change the delivery date, they should have contacted me to ask if the date I requested was a mistake. The customer service was polite but just kept saying that they were helping me. They did not even offer to refund the delivery fee. Very disappointed. The date was important. read more
