Went here for the first time. Wow they was quick and they took care of my car. And the price was not bad

This was my Ford dealership of choice to service my cars. The technicians are great, and the few service advisors that I have dealt with, have been very helpful. However, I will never give them another dime of my money. Their cashier made sure of that!! I called today to make a service appointment. She told me she would transfer my call. I told her that I had been calling for a couple of days trying to make an appointment. I said, I normally get my cars serviced there, and if I can't get any service there, I would have no choice but to go to Al Piemonte Ford. I guess she took it as an insult and went ham on me. Instead of showing any customer service skill, she was hostile, argumentative, loud and over talked me. To add the cherry on top, she hung up on me!! So, I called Al Piemonte and they actually answered the phone, and scheduled the appointment, and may I add, very professional. The fact is, I spend my hard earned money with these people. I'll never patronize anyone, or any company to disrespect me. Your service is not cheap by far!! It takes a special kind of fool for someone to do that. So, thank you Ms. Cashier, with an attitude like that, I sure hope that you are directly related to the owner. I am a business owner also, and I ever had an employee like that, they would no longer work for me. read more

Went in to ask about some warranty service for a brand new 2021 Bronco Sport I had just purchased at another dealer 4 weeks ago [farther away from me then Zeigler] I discovered the vehicle is missing a part underneath, missed during assembly it appears. I encountered the most rude service manager, I didn't get the name. He flat out refused to even look at the vehicle, and said, "we don't work on warranty coverage work on vehicles we don't sell". He told me I have to return to where I bought the vehicle, to have them look at it, said they have no way of knowing if I removed the part, or it fell off. [impossible as its a large cover on the bottom of the vehicle, reported online as missing periodically from these vehicles post assembly. What a joke! Clearly I interrupted his casual web browsing when I approached the service office, directed there from a sales person in the front of the dealership. I called the dealer where I purchased the vehicle and will return there albiet 45 miles away. At least I'll get proper Ford service and treatment. Avoid Zeigler for any service needs for your new under warranty Ford vehicle purchased at a different dealership. The folks running the service operation need time to browse online, rather then even work with customers... read more

The service at this dealership was absolutely ridiculous. I was initially interested due to car pricing, but they later tried tacking on a $1000 fee for "used car inspection" before purchase, and when questioned (as this should be done regardless and is always included in the price of the vehicle), they said that it's usually $1500 and they're actually cutting me a deal. They eventually took this fee off after some arguing about how ridiculous it is, and when I showed up to get the car was hassled about this fee several times. The car was filthy and an almost completely empty tank. I had to wait for 3 hours total when purchasing the car, when there were only 2 other customers who were also waiting for nothing. Seemed like a lot of people just walking around and chatting and making customers wait. Overall, the salesman I worked with was very condescending and would not stop bringing up areas that I had negotiated with purchasing my car. I wanted to walk out and keep anyone from this company from getting any of my money, but ended up having a good experience with a financial guy (after waiting for hours). Not true to their word. I first contacted Zeigler Ford on Jan. 31, 2021. I was inquiring about a 2017 Ford Explorer priced at $19,995. I filled out a credit application, and after I did so communication got slow. I was suppose to receive an "ID Call," but never received it. I had to contact the dealership by email and phone for something they were suppose to contact me for. I ended up being contacted and put in touch with a salesman. He contacted me around noon, we discussed financing for the Explorer. Close to 5 that evening I stated I would come up for a test drive. He then told me the Explorer we were discussing sold that morning. For those few hours we were talking about a car that wasn't even available. He suggested a similar 2017 Explorer. This one had leather seats and a few thousand less miles. I stated that I want to stay with the same payments and price we had previously discussed. I would be traveling 5.5 hours to Zeigler, so I told the salesman I would not want to drive all that way if we could not keep the Explorer at my price range. He responded with "I talked to my manager and he said he will figure it out and to come see us." To any consumer this sounds like the dealership will do what they have to on their end to keep it at the previously discussed price. I made the trip to the dealership with my dad and my close friend. When we got to the dealership for the test drive the Explorer had to be jump started. My dad works on cars and noticed a loose taillight wire, thin tire tread, and that the brakes and rotors needed replace. We then went to discuss the buying process. Immediately I was shown a price that was $2,000 more than we discussed previously. I made it very clear I did NOT want to make the drive if the price was not matched to the previous Explorer. The dealership did not offer a new battery, brake job, or tires until we talked about them being a safety issue. They did mention that even though the car wasn't certified pre owned it goes through their own checklist to make sure everything is up to their standard before selling. If these mechanical issues passed their checklist, they have horrible standards of safety for their customers. The dealership refused to put new tires on the car, but they did agree to a new battery. The service department then stated the brakes and rotors just had surface rust. It was clearly not just surface rust, the rotors had significant grooves. After insisting it's more than rust they stated they would drive the car to see if the breaks worked fine, if so they wouldn't fix them. They already said they thought it was just rust so there was a small chance of getting them fixed. We agreed finally that if brakes, tires and battery were replaced we would pay the extra $2000 that they tacked onto the price despite our conversation. My dad does brake jobs on cars and calculated the price if he were to do one himself. We then estimated a complete brake job done at a dealership would be $800-1000. That left the cost of the battery being $999. They refused to lower the cost of the battery. We kept questioning why we would be charged an extra $2,000 just for walking through the door. They stated it was because they had good bank relations. That is OBVIOUSLY NOT worth $2,000. We questioned why good bank relations would cost us $2,000 and he then stated that it wouldn't. The salesman was contraindicating himself and the conversation was going in circles. We could not get a straight answer on why I was being charged $2000 extra. We kept being told "just be flexible with us and we'll be flexible with you." Never once were they flexible. We even pulled up the text messages we have between the salesman and I talking about pricing, and it was brushed off by them. Nearing hour three of being stuck at the dealership we got up and walked out. Please do not waste your time with this dealership. They do not care about their customers or their customers safety. The dealership was willing to let me drive this car back 5.5 hours with bad brakes, a bad battery, and thin tires. Do not waste your time. read more

I had a great experience with McCarthy when I needed my car fixed quickly. I went to the bank one day for work and all of the sudden my car stopped shifting - the transmission was just blown out. The 2014 Ford Focus has a known transmission issue. I knew this and every time I had gone to any Ford dealer they always told me there was nothing they could do but run some diagnostic mumbo jumbo that basically did nothing. As I sat in traffic on 1st Avenue, I called McCarthy. They told me that they weren't sure if they could get me in and their staff was probably going to strike soon (they did just a few days later). I explained to the manager that my car would not shift out of first gear and this was a serious and dangerous problem. He let me bring it in immediately. I went about 15 mph from 1st and Ogden to 22nd and Harlem but I got my beautiful car there. He was going to fix the transmission as it was still within warranty and replace the door jams that had apparently been recalled. The manager agreed to get back in touch with me by 6:30 and I was on my merry way. He had not called so I called him. They were just finishing up my car around 6:30. I had the option of picking it up that night around 8 pm or in the morning. I opted for the morning as I was not able to pick it up. I went the next day around lunch time to pick it up. My car drove like a brand new vehicle! The service department was quick and efficient to my needs. I really appreciated that they were able to get me in knowing that this was a serious situation that I could not just bring anywhere. read more

He coordinated with multiple enterprises to help me get a loaner car and was always available and willing to answer any and all of my questions. I would strongly recommend this location and plan on bringing my car back in the future! read more

Probably the worst business I've done with a business. I left. 5 star rating when i bought the vehicle back in August because they assisted me well with buying my first car ever. But fast forward 9 months later i can't even get a simple oil change without a attitude from a service advisor. They never answer the phone & so have to drive all the way there from aurora to get a simple answer that i could've gotten over the phone. Last time i got my oil changed from them they didn't put the hood down all the way & my hood flew up on the expressway. Tried to give the car back to them & they wouldn't take it & they denied that the accident wasn't their fault. But it happened literally a day after i got the oil changed. Now my car looks bad. I really regret buying a car from here & if i could leave no stars i would. read more

If I could give this dealer a negative rating I would. They advertised the price of a new Escape on Cargurus for $21,083. I went to the dealership, drove the car and was sold. That's where the pleasant experience ended. When it came to financing the car, the salesman Brian seemed put off that we we using the collateral of my trade in as my only form of a down payment. It got even worse when he told me the price, and it wasn't even close to what they advertised. The price was $29,845 less $6,000 from Ford if you financed with them otherwise they give you $3,500 off. Granted if you use their financing they'll gouge you for a whopping 8.99%. On top of that they'll give you 3 additional incentives that no single person can get. $1,000 off for a college student, $500 off for military and $500 off for first responders. Who can be all 3 at once? Even if by some miracle anyone did qualify for all 3 discounts the final price being financed is $21,845 which is still $762 higher then the price they advertised. To make it even worse if it's possible the monthly payments are so out of line it's crazy. For a 75 month contract they give you payments of $300 for the first 36 months and for the remaining 39 months the payment balloons up to $421 per month. For 66 months they were offering 36 months at $345 and the last 30 at $461. At this point I asked for the keys to my car back. Brian kept asking me what he could do to get my business and I told him many times there was no chance I was paying over $300 a month ever. I .told him either they sell the car at the price they advertised on the internet or we had no deal. He said there was no chance that was happening He seemed to fail to grasp that concept and kept coming back with insulting offer after insulting offer. And my final issue with Brian was that anytime my wife spoke he would tall over her or not listen to what she was saying. If you're looking for a car shop ANYWHERE else. This dealership will stick it to you. read more

I had a great experience at McCarthy Ford. I walked in to get info on a new hybrid or electric car. I knew I wasn't going to buy today, but wanted to get settled on a model that would work for me and was ready for a high-pressure experience trying to get me to purchase while I was at the dealer. It was just the opposite of what I expected. My salesman was friendly, relaxed, patiently answered all of my questions and I walked out well-informed about a Fusion Hybrid. No customer service at all... you can't even get acknowledged until you stand at the desk for several minutes only to be told I'll be right with you shortly. REALLY!!! It's not like there was someone else in there. This place has crossed "families" several times. I don't know what the problem is. This use to be my go to place. But it seems there are many different changes. Like charging $20 extra for a wash and vacuum. I remember when you use to get a complimentary wash. Why up charge for a wash and vacuum when I go down the street and vacuum for free and get a six dollar wash?!? ‍ Either way, you can tell business is NOT what it use to be. And the goofy guy working the desk is a complete JOKE! How many times do I need to tell you I only came in here for a oil change, there is NO need to sell me anything else. You looked me up in the system and see that my car has been several times over then proceeds to ask, "where do you go for service?". Really!!! Looks like I need to find another Quick Lane. read more

I have had several recalls done here as well as service appointments. The staff is always short or rude and seem to not want to help, especially if you call. I have sent 2 emails in the last 2 weeks and neither have been returned. Also, the parts department has a habit of answering the phone with Hello, so I have no idea if I am with the right department or have a wrong number. Very disappointed in their "all points inspection" and claims of it being in great condition. It does not take much to inspect the brakes. definitely a horrible experience and will not return. after spending $1,200 dealership fee which allegedly covers a complete inspection of the car I have to spend an additional $500 to replace the brakes. they would not budge on the price at all. very very disappointed. read more

DO NOT BUY YOUR CAR THROUGH THIS DEALERSHIP. DO NOT SIGN ANYTHING UNLESS YOU ARE CERTAIN. DEFINITELY DON'T GIVE THEM YOUR CAR AS A TRADE. THESE PEOPLE ARE SNAKES! I came in to trade in/purchase a vehicle on 3/31/18 with my daughter. I wanted to give her a nice college graduation gift. We chose the 2018 Ford Escape Titanium model with the Safe and smart package. A near $1300 added option. We expressed a concern that the sensors on the 2018 model we tested were not working properly, but the dealer Rudy adjusted them to high intensity (which should not have had to be done) and saw one immediate change in the vibration of the steering wheel when testing the lane drifting and thought all was resolved. However, after signing we found this problem and others still exist. I believe this car's sensor and sync 3 voice recognition features are faulty. It is HIGHLY important that ALL these features work, since my daughter will be driving this vehicle and I need her to feel safe in the car at all times or it is not worth the money to spend on it. Each person we spoke with informed that they did not know anything about the technology on the car. This was very disappointing to hear as a consumer. Issues Reported: - sensors work intermittently and only when you are almost touching another vehicle or parking bumper - lane keep assist works intermittently - crash sensor did not seem to work during road test - driver entrance/exit feature not working - hands free call recognition does not work. We were only able to use Siri - car mileage: I was informed the car had 6mi on it during the test drive. At signing it showed a documented 10mi and once we drove the car off, it showed 33mi. This is also a huge discrepancy. After taking the car back on April 2, 2018 and testing against other same model cars, only one of the issues were resolved. That is the driver entrance/exit feature. All other issues are still pending. The dealer took the car for service and issued me a loaner vehicle. They then sent me a text stating nothing was found and that I had to buy the car as is. I have asked for a detailed report of the dealer's findings and results, but have yet to receive. The mileage in the car has now increased to 51mi while in their care since April 2, 2018. I returned the loaner and they refuse to honor me with proof of resolve, a replacement or return of my trade. They now have the new car, my trade and the loaner. I currently have no vehicle. There is no deal as financing was not secured and I do not have any copies of contract or promissory statements they claimed I signed and are holding over my head. I was also told that they are not responsible for what happens to the new car because I bought it. With that said I don't even know where the vehicle is to date. I have filed a complaint with the Illinois Attorney General's Office for unfair and deceptive act and practice for trying to force me to purchase a car when there are defects and when financing has not been secured. I have sent emails to them with no response. I would like to have my trade in returned to me or the value of the trade in, issued in check form to me, as this deal is not right and not final! read more

My experience with McCarthy Ford in North Riverside went from great to awful pretty quickly. Decided to lease my dream truck with the intention of buying and everything was great. Got the deal I wanted, sales and service = amazing. Two weeks later I call my insurance company and all is still good UNTIL I run my numbers. The salesman informed me that after my lease, my payment would remain the same... WRONG!!! My payment will increase over $100! I call to find out why they would tell me that my payment would stay the same after my lease and of course, no reasonable answer. Now my dream truck that was suppose to be lease to buy is strictly a lease. For a guy who has bought 15 cars in 10 years, this is McCarthy Fords loss, this is one dealership I will no longer buy from. read more

Their telemarketing when they were McCarthy Ford is f-ing annoying!! We brought my wife's company vehicle here twice for recalls, once when it was Joe Rizza, when it was Joe Rizza did not get any telemarketing calls. Then we brought it again recentley to now McCarthy Ford. They called at 9:58am today to get us to trade in this vehicle, let them know it is a company vehicle and we do not own it so please do not call. Then the same dumb woman calls again at 2:31pm today with the same crap call. I told her if they call again w/their telemarketing call, I'll file charges for harassment. WHAT PART DID THIS MORON NOT UNDERSTAND THE FIRST TIME SHE CALLED THAT WE DO NOT OWN THIS VEHICLE IT IS COMPANY VEHICLE DID SHE NOT UNDERSTAND? Guess she probaly never graduated elementary school. If I ever needed to buy a car, I absolutely never buy a car from this dump! Hope somebody else buys this dealership and makes it better because right now they are annoying and stink! The worst experience I've ever had in a dealership, the sales manager Shadi is the main reason of it all he didn't make a minimal attempt to sell me anything. After talking to a few staff members for two days I requested all the numbers I would be comfortable with. I was told I would be close to if not pretty near to the number that I wanted, when I showed up the manager Shadi came out hot with where did I come up with these numbers and how it's impossible to get to where I want, when I never came up with any numbers at all, those are the numbers his staff members gave me prior to me making an appointment.The manager Acted very unprofessional and like a complete tool. When I asked what are my best options to get to where I want to be he smirked and told me it would be impossible didn't bother making an attempt for anything wouldn't even try to listen to me which is confusing because the other two staff member I was in contact with were very polite and great to deal with. I decided to be the bigger man and not match his awful energy and I left.Needless to say I felt insulted because of that sales manager Shadi and I will never recommend this dealership to anyone and it will be the first time I will file a CSS against a dealership if I could give it zero stars I most definitely would. read more

INFLATED ESTIMATE & FAILURE TO PROPERLY REPAIR. Long story short the Service Dept. failed to make proper repairs to my brakes, denied the part was under warranty, told me "I didn't know what I was talking about" and sent my vehicle home with "wavy rotors". I was told the car needed $2200 in additional repairs. After calling two other Ford Dealerships & an independent mechanic shop I found out the estimate was inflated by $800-1200 dollar. I picked up my car and took it to two other places for inspection. The car did not need tie rods or a drag link at all (NOTE: I was quoted $848 which was almost double what the other dealerships quoted me). I was told that I needed left side front ball joints for $1272, which is almost triple of what I ended up paying. After calling the dealership and leaving messages for the Service Manager & GM without a return call I reached out to another dealership. I spoke to the person who oversees this location and ultimately found out my rotors WERE under warranty. The dealership shaved them leaving them "under spec" and uneven - instead of replacing them under the warranty. Neither this person I spoke to nor the Service Dept. Manager could explain the over charging on the quote for repairs nor explain why I was told I needed a tie rod. I asked the Service Manager repeatedly for an explanation and he answered each time with "Ms. So and So we would like you to bring the vehicle back so we can rectify the situation". Need I say my car was fixed by another Ford Dealership. But this was NOT ok and it was NOT acceptable! read more

I posted a google review, but I'd rather save as many people l from car shopping at this place as possible. I got my Ford Edge about 2 1/2-3 weeks ago. We had a rookie salesman who was nice enough. Since he was new, we had to deal with the managers a bit more than I expected and they treated my fiancé like his requests were not warranted. 3 tires were the same brand while 1 was some crappy off brand with nearly 0 tread, so he explained we would not be taking the car unless they replaced the 2 back tires. We expected push back, but it wasn't until we had our coats on ready to walk out they offered to replace them after nearly laughing in our faces. Day after I got the car the battery died. No big deal I know they sit on the lot and it was cold. When my fiancé brought it in for the tires he explained the situation to the sales managers, who were super rude about it. Said we'd get our refund check within the week in the mail because supposedly they don't issue them there. A week passes, my fiancé calls and they claim it was sent out a couple days prior to THE WRONG ADDRESS. Which was luckily his mothers address. During the tug of war about the tires they provided an "inspection" print out. It was like pulling teeth to see that. On it, it claims all fluids were checked/topped off. Had to take it in to my AWESOME trusted mechanic because the oil change warning popped up. We decided we refuse to give these people another dime. Only reason they got any stars was because our salesman was nice & personable and the service guys were cool. I'd say go to ANY other ford dealership in the area because dealing with this place start to finish was the worst customer service experience I've had in quite some time. 100% will NEVER recommend this place. read more

Great buying experience on a brand new truck. Year and half into purchase, they are completely unable to service or back up any service advertising or warranty work. The items them have done, were done poorly, creating other issues. You must have know someone or work there to get any where. I made four calls with messages that were never returned. I called to make an appt they can't schedule at all because a dept is closed. The quick lane as been an all day event for oil changes almost every time. I get a boat load of texts and emails for services and sales. But when you actually act on them, I might as well be contacting the tooth fairy. read more

I am thoroughly disappointed with the service that I am receiving from them. This was the first time I bought a car new in my life. The car is the 2016 I bought it in the late spring not even 2 years old and the car has been experiencing issues service engine light as well as what I was told was a gas throttle. I have been stranded 3 times in the last 2 weeks. In the last 6 weeks I have spent over $1,500 on this car not including tires are granted tires are regular maintenance so I don't hold that against them. I got a transmission flush for over 40,000 miles and every since then and I have been getting major issues. I was told it might be the gas that I was lying but that's not the issue. The issue is they don't back they are vehicles have asked also two times for a loner but it seems that every time I ask there is no loaner. Now I've been stranded since Saturday and they don't have anyone that can work on the vehicle on the weekends and have to make an appointment for Monday. My car is my job i work in outside sales so every time I'm not on the highway or driving I'm losing money the vehicle is out of warranty after 36000 miles and only the transmission is included up to 60,000 miles. I shouldn't have these issues for a car that's under 2 years old. I was in the shop not even a week ago spent another $300.00 and I'm having same issues but it was supposedly inspected. My Ford Escape has been in their service department for one entire month as of this coming Thursday, 3/1/18. Because they did not correctly repair my transmission the first time I payed over $5,000 to have it done about a year ago, it is in their shop again. For two weeks now I have been told they are waiting for a radiator hose that is a recall part on back order that is somehow essential to the repair. In the time my vehicle has been in their service department (again, almost an entire month that is) I have called more than a dozen times to check the status. Twice in about a month (Twice!) they have called without the purpose of the call being to return my call. And one of those times was to tell me I needed to pay over $5,000 again to repair the transmission that I had payed over $5,000 to repair about a year prior to that because they didn't initially realize that repair is still under warranty. By the way, when the repair IS finished (God only knows when) I have to pay an additional roughly $850 for additional repairs. At this point I pretty much feel like my car is being held for ransom and that they don't even want the $850 ransom fee. Guess what I did in this months time? Made a car payment. I wouldn't take my car to them to have the windshield washer fluid replaced. Buyer 1000% beware. read more
