In their ad photos. I saw a battery warning message on the dash of the Mercedes C300 I was researching. I called it out and asked if the battery had any issues. They said, "No, we always pass the vehicles through a UCI inspection before putting it up for sale." They must've charged the battery before the test drive because it was gone. Literally on the way home from buying it, it comes on. Tested the battery at a chain auto parts store a few days later and it had a dead cell. $235 for a new battery out of pocket. Where to begin... We spent three hours in a tent with blaring music and walked away without a vehicle. Experience overall was unimpressive. We had to speak with multiple people and it was unclear who was making decisions. We inquired about a variety of rebates advertised online and our eligibility, and rather than walking through eligibility requirements we were mansplained about how different dealers advertise rebates that they shouldn't and that they would "take care of all of the eligibility stuff for us." The biggest kicker and reason for one star is how they settled on pricing and financing for us. They spend about 30 minutes "crunching numbers" to come back with vehicles priced at MSRP (they never asked us about rebate eligibility) and two financing options that yielded vague numbers like "mid-600s" and were scratched together with a marker on the back of a piece of paper. One of the options was a "flex buy" which they explained to us two times incorrectly and calculated it at 3.9% when it should have been 1.9%. The manager also spoke over me to my husband and when I chimed in as a decision maker was incredibly rude and condescending. We went somewhere else and received $2300 in rebates/discounts and the correct flex buy rate at $1.9% for 66 months. Don't go here. read more

If I could rate lower than one star I would. I have owned a Ford for almost 10 years. My Ford was coming off a lease and the quoted payments to move into a new one were Almost double, so no thanks, and no explanation. Another Ford dealer actually told me that Ford was trying to move away from leases. In any case, with my lease running out I had the required inspection performed and then called to ask if I needed to set an appointment to return the car. I was told no, bring it in any day M-Th 10-6. I showed up around 3 and was told sorry, you have to make an appt. Keep in mind because of the virus lockdown the dealership was empty. I asked to speak to the sales manager and the gentleman who said make an appt told me he was the sales manager. He said "the guy" who handles leases wasn't even in, and he had no clue how to sign into the computer and do it. I left, called Al Piemonte, was told to bring it right in, it took all of 5 minutes and myself and the sales manager signing the form electronically. read more

The Service Department is Amazing!! I was having an issue with my car due to a an advanced recall on my car that was causing me to have many car issues and mainly ENGINE ISSUES! I was trying to stress how important is was to get my car seen or worked on asap so it didn't stop while I was driving as this is my only only form of transportation, and FORD CSP were so rude and unhelpful and I had called around to multiple ford dealerships and they were just as unhelpful and rude, nobody wanted to help and I was so overwhelmed. Lastly, I called Ford in North Riverside and I wished I'd called them first! Tim helped me right away and told me he's seen that issue and to bring my car in and was helping me every step of the way. My engine ended up dying on me the day before I was supposed to bring it in for this issue and I was able to get it towed and the whole engine fixed within ONE DAY!! I will never go to any other location, I trust this locations service department with my car 100%!! So helpful and every single one of them were so sweet and kind. You would think that customer service would be amaZing during this time. IT's NOT!!! I called around looking for a van or vehicle that can fit my growing household. I settled on a Ford Transit Connect at Ziegler Ford in Riverside IL. I told them I wasn't coming in and out and that I've heard how other dealerships are doing delivery service. Fiore (salesman) advised me that they needed me to come in, they had to visualize my vehicle to apprize the value. I did go in show them my car and see the new one. As I was looking at the new one, upon starting it was apparent that something was wrong. Well the catalyst conversation system was cut off and needs to be replaced. I simply asked for a new one that I wasn't buying a broken one. They continued to negotiate and got me to come inside and sign the paperwork. I did after they agreed they would deliver the car to me when it was fixed and detailed for delivery. I left spending my money, signing my contract giving Fiore a SALE FOR THE DAY, all without my new van. Any way 2 days later Fiore calls me to tell me my car is ready for PICKUP!!! "Wait, What, when you promised to deliver it" he begins SCREAMING at me that he is NOT delivering my car because he is NOT a porter and he does NOT use a screwdriver to change plates. The next day I did go PICKUP my new van and it was delivered FILTHY dirty. Sticky stuff left on the windows, fingerprints all over the glass and it did not even look like the car was washed. I went in to the GM and gave him a piece of my mind and asked what kind of salesman he has working for him and that I should expect better than this service. After a long search for a very specific, hard to find vehicle, I found one on Ziegler's website listed as " in transit from manufacturer". I called to confirm and sure enough they said it would be arriving that day or the next day. I put a deposit on the vehicle and waited for it to arrive so I can go pick it up. Two weeks later, not only had it not arrived, but I called Ford and they said the vehicle was not "in transit" but actually still in production and probably weeks away. When I called the sales guy, he went into full on hustler-mode doing everything possible to avoid letting me cancel the order, even trying to convince me to buy different vehicles, lying about other cars I'd supposedly said I was interested in, and saying "we all gotta make sacrifices" trying to get me to just buy whatever he could lay his hands on instead of the exact $60k vehicle I'd been searching for - the only reason I'd called him in the first place. I've never had to put up with such aggressive, disrespectful sales-shark nonsense before. I barely kept my temper, told him the deal was off and to refund my deposit. And three days later he hadn't done a thing. I had to call their accounting people myself to get it done. Walked into the showroom, tons of employees around, some sitting at their desk, playing on their computers, others gathered at the front desk laughing and talking. I walked around the place for 10 minutes, going in and out of different cars hoping that one of the clowns would come by to ask if I needed help. Nope. It was as if I was a ghost. Had enough. Walked outside and found the car I was interested in. Spent about 5 minutes looking at the car. A couple of employees walked right past me and AGAIN....no service. Came in for just a oil change , I got home and now I have a flat . I went to put air and you can see that they messed up my valve on the tire but they told me that the tire had a hole . They have cameras there so I will be following up . There was no need to mess with my tires when I only asked for a oil change. I'm pretty sure they're going to say it's policy for them to do this . Bought my first new 2017 mustang with only 2 miles on it. The sales associate was a wonderful help if she didn't know the answers to my questions she would seek the advice from her excellent service department for the answers instead of telling me lies or making up facts. They really helped me out of my old car that I was strong armed into out in Hawaii by another Ford dealership... I was never going to buy another ford again but I figured I stop in and see what the mustang was all about since I was looking for something sporty and fun since I've been in a economical car for the past several years driving a Ford Focus.... When it came to the money they did everything to assist me and gave me a really great deal even below truecar.com value which I am grateful for the veteran discount assisted with that but all their help was greatly appreciated. My only gripe was the detail they did before it was placed into my possession. You can tell they just took a rag and moved dust around on the dash and you could see finger prints on all the plastic accents and they didn't clean the door and trunk crevasse and engine compartment from all the dust and built up grim from sitting all year... and the body look like it just received a quick rinse (it's a new car so why not spend the extra time and ensure it has a fresh coat of wax and no blemishes in the paint from sitting all year....) I do have high standards and this is technically my first NEW car and I appreciate the finer details but over all great experience. Will be taking her in for servicing here shortly hopefully they keep up the great work (let's hope they don't leave finger prints and grim on my steering wheel...) Overall I highly recommend them and they really changed my view on Ford now let's hope they change my mind about the service department. Let me start by saying that I am 51 years old and this is the first time I have ever been motivated to write a review. It is not positive. I purchased a used SUV last Thursday from Zeigler Ford of North Riverside and everything went fine. When I was about to leave after the purchase I asked my salesman for the second key fob. He went to go look for it and came back a few minutes later with nothing. He told me that the SUV only came with one key fob and that was already factored into the price. Right. He then told me he would look into getting me a second key fob from another dealer and just sell it to me it at his cost. He said he would call me the next day Friday. I was not thrilled about paying for a second key and felt slightly wronged but I agreed. Friday came and went and no call. I am in sales so I understand things get busy and you can get sidetracked so I just figured I would call the dealship on Saturday. I now have 3 items that I need to discuss so I need really to speak with him. (FYI - 3 items are 1. key fob, 2. I never got a detailed copy of my extended warranty and 3. I wanted to verify that the oil was changed because I found an old sticker on my windshield saying the oil change was 600 miles overdue and there was no Zeigler oil sticker saying it was just changed). I called on Saturday morning and the receptionist told me he was with a customer. I gave her my name and number and asked if my salesman could call me back. No call from him on Saturday. I then sent him an email on Saturday evening and asked if he could call me when he got a chance. I understand that I sent the email after hours on Saturday and that car dealerships are not open on Sundays so I was hoping he would call on Monday. Monday came and went and nothing. Still giving him the benefit of the doubt and crossing my fingers hoping for Tuesday. Nothing. I called the dealership on Wednesday and briefed the receptionist on my situation and asked for a manager or someone in charge. I get put on hold and then my salesman gets on the phone. I expressed my frustration and explained to him the 3 items that I still needed and he says he will get back to me. No call back on Wednesday or Thursday. I then go to the Zeigler Ford website on Thursday evening and send an email to the general Zeigler email saying that I am an unhappy customer, can't get any information and would like a manger or someone in charge to call me. I get an email response from Zeigler on Friday saying "Thanks for contacting the service department, we have received your request for service and someone will be contacting you." I am sitting here writing this review on Friday evening at 10pm and have still not heard anything from anyone. More than a week has gone by since my purchase and I am very frustrated and getting angry. I have been very patient and I just want someone in charge to contact me with the information that I am looking for. I don't think I need to write down my feelings about this dealership. read more

The person we were supposed to meet with was out. Then Fiori (something like that) helped us. He did a decent job getting us what we asked for on our car. They wanted to tack on an additional $1,000 fee after you arrive claiming everyone pays this. When we negotiated price to where it originally should have been, he told us a 20 minutes until we could talk to a finance person. I decided I would walk to Aldi next door since we had a drive to get there. I came back after about 15/20 minutes and he's like well, it should be a little longer. Then that man had the gall to say to me - why did you go for a walk? And I'm like to stretch my legs and then says oh I get it! Your pregnant! Now while I am not skinny by any means, I am not huge either! 5'8, size 10. So now I'm not happy and kind of ticked that this overweight gentleman who says he has been selling cars for 40 years hasn't learned his manners! Duh, make sure you are 150% sure they are pregnant before you ask, idiot! Now I've been gone for about 20 minutes by then and then get the joy of sitting in the waiting room for another 20 minutes watching fishing (seriously worse than watching paint dry). My brain couldn't take it any more so I asked Fiori how we can change the station, he's like go to the cashier. So I walk to the front of the dealership (which is not the cashier, who knew!? He didn't tell me where to go) and they look at me like - we don't have it, go to the cashier - I'm like which is where? I've never been here before and don't read minds. Finally was able to go to cashier to have them get the remote, which can only be operated in the cashiers office. Now try picking channels from the other room - yikes. We had the blue screen for three minutes and then the lady was finally able to change it to something else. I gave up and said, just something, so we waited another 20 minutes watching Paula Dean. Then we were finally able to get in to financing (which we didn't even need) over an hour later. Luckily the guy with the two same names got us in and the correct price in about ten minutes. We got there a little after 10 am, had maybe a ten minute test ride, if that and left after 1:30. We should have been one of those in and out easy customers... So i would suggest you shop here if you A) want to pay an extra $1000 on a car and Fiori says it's $1600 for a truck on top of the stickers price, and tax and fees, etc. B) like being called pregnant by the beer bellied man C) like watching fishing shows while waiting WAY longer than your 20 minutes D) I almost forgot we almost got hit by the VP in the parking lot within the first minute of your test drive as he is trying to back his truck into us. He's not the best driver from what I've heard. E) want to come home with a used car and 1/4 tank of gas (standard they say) If you do shop here document everything you were promised. Came in with an x-plan, from my understanding a x-plan is non-negotiable and its out the door price but somehow they were still trying to negotiate. I had a very rude encounter with sales "manager" unprofessional and had napoleon complex syndrome. His name is Shadi Salman. Asking me where I was getting my numbers and got upset because I had said no to their offer. As I walked off he insulted my family and me by offering me their cheapest vehicle with a grin. Also he was walking around with no face mask and so was every salesmen in that building. I am very satisfied with my new car. It's everything I was looking for living in the city. But.....and here it comes. It's after the purchase that they let you down. Their service department. Woof....slow and slower is what should be their tag line. They have 10-15 people working the showroom floor, but in the garage...one or two? Really?? I came in recently for my first servicing and I sat for a few hours, and I wasn't the only one. They won't take appointments, the definitely don't have heat the waiting room that works to any effective level, it smells like either a urinal cake or an opened box of expired pine tree scent cars. For all the "show" they put on in the front when you walk in with the sales people and their suits, they don't care once they have that contract. Do not buy your vehicle from this place because they will sell you car that was in accident as a car not being in accident and with a defect hidden not fixed as they did to me. I both a car, they stated and insisted car was not in accident because I didn't want car that was in accident previously. After I left the place signal for law wash liquid showed. I filled it up but again after few hours same thing happened. I scheduled vehicle inspection in Land Rover service and they found out that the car was in accident that front part of the car was not fixed inside, just glued together. Dealership never inspected vehicle and sold me a car as vehicle not being in accident. I called Zeigler Northriverside to asked them why did they lie, and what are they going to do about it, how can they sell you car as never being in accident if it was, they denied any responsibility. Absolutely the worst Ford "service" there is. I had taken my vehicle there for a diagnostic check for my power steering. Also knowing I had a recall on the vehicle for an airbag that was on backorder so I had put a order for a new one with golf mill Ford. After the diagnostics check at Zeigler Jessie the person who put in the paperwork for it had told me the problem which is all I came for and I was on my way. One month later when going in for a oil change,alignment and recall for the airbag at GOLF MILL FORD the ZEIGLER Ford dealership had put in that it was completed. A simple mistake but when calling the dealership speaking with 2 customer service representatives and the manager Edgar they still refused to say it was a mistake. To top it all off they didn't even offer to check if it was done or to have anything done. Putting my life in danger all over a RECALL that ZEIGLER FORD wanted credit for. Even if I was offered for them to double check I wouldn't of taken it. God knows what they would do or lie about next. Now in service again for almost 2 weeks an electrical problem they can't seem to fix. Customer service is terrible. Been calling everyday. Left messages today for the Heneral Manager, Assistant manager, Service Manager and for Kelly who they say is from customer service. No one has returned my call. Took my truck in to be serviced, and someone went into my back seat rambling around in things that shouldn't have been touched at all. When I take my truck in to be serviced I expect the issues to be addressed without someone helping them self to anything in my truck. There was nothing in my backseat that needed to be repaired so the person working on my truck had no business even being back here. Next time I'll know better., if there's is a next time. read more

Shortly after writing the review here and responding to a Ford survey, I got a call from the manager who apologized for my experience, particularly the racist comments. They took responsibility for the Bluetooth issue (apparently other cars experienced it) and fixed the problem. Went into here and test drove a new vehicle. The salesman was nice and was non-pressuring, but new and still learning. Luckily, he didn't need to know much about the vehicle as I was very familiar with it. When it came down to talking numbers the manager was very adamant on getting this done ASAP. I told him what I was looking at for numbers and he gave me an outrageous figure with no explanation on why it would've even been that high. After a back and forth he finally mentioned a number I was comfortable with. He puts in the number and says "yeah, I'm gonna lose $xx,xxx" laughed, and asked me if the keys in his hand were mine. I say yes so he hands them to me with a smug smile and just says bye. I was heated, but went home and ran numbers to see if my line was too low or if I was the one being unreasonable. After running the numbers it comes to find out that he was trying to sell me the vehicle for above MRSP and not the advertised sale price. Additionally, he would've gotten a free truck off my trade in. The bad thing is I have the qualifying credit and was fully willing to walk outta there without attempting to negotiate the advertised price. I'll be looking elsewhere for the time being. This place was unprofessional and displayed that it has no integrity. I must reiterate that this review is in no way directed at the salesman that helped me as I had no real issues with him. read more

I would give them zero stars if I could. Forced us to come in to talk about price then added a $1500 fee for no reason. Excuse "we add that to all of our cars" so be prepared for wasted time and poor customer service from typical sales guys that think their time is more valuable then theirs. read more

what i paid for 2 lugs and labor i could've order all 20 OEM lug nuts online. 3 months now the stud and lug nuts are rusting out and will need replacement. when they called me and told i needed NEW lug nuts i figure it will like the other lug nuts.but i was told that the 2 they sold me were better because the factory ones rust. REALLY? i will find the receipt to show what i got charge so no other customers gets ripped off. read more

The Sale person's will try to sale a vehicle that they picked for you or one they would like to get rid of. If you disagree with financing terms and decline buying a vehicle at all the Sale Manager will continue run more inquiries on your credit report days after you have left Zeigler dealership. I requested that they run only 3 inquires they did, but once I decline their offer to purchase a vehicle they continued run 7 more inquires days after I left the dealership, this was purposely done.
