    Clam Chowder Bowl & Salad

Every time I'm in the area I go to Zelda's and I have never been disappointed. I had the calamari and it was nice and crispy. Had the clam chowder with a salad and it was delicious. Salad was more than adequate and fresh. The chowder was very good with lots of clam. Service was friendly and attentive. It's located right on the beach so the view is unparalleled. Love it. Parking always tight near the restaurant but there is a parking lot nearby

The service was quick and fast and I enjoyed my cheeseburger! The waterfront ambiance was great but for the price the burger was pretty expensive.

Location 10/10, ambience 10/10, service 10/10, food 6/10. Food Needs way more work. The calamari chips were too oily. Bland tasting risotto.

The ladies and I needed to kill some time so we decided to stop by here before checking into our hotel. The restaurant is literally steps away from the beach. Amazing view on a beautiful day....you really can't beat that. We ordered a few cocktails and a basket of fries. The drinks were exceptionally good. I ordered the billionaire margarita. I have to say that was a pretty strong drink so I was feeling pretty good lol. Our server was friendly and attentive. It was easy for him since we didn't order any food except for the fries. I would totally go back here again just for the view and drinks.

If you're looking for a relaxing spot to enjoy beachside views and a laidback atmosphere, Zelda's fits the bill. The restaurant sits just steps from the sand, offering a panoramic view of the ocean that's hard to beat. The salty breeze and gentle waves and window seating create an easy, unhurried vibe perfect for unwinding after a long day. The food itself was fine. Portions are fair and they have a breakfast menu (until 2:00) and brunch menu in the day that offers a good variety. They also serve dinner as well. For what we had, the flavors were serviceable rather than standout, the kind of meal that's enjoyable in the moment but not memorable. Everything arrived hot and neatly plated. The server was genuinely friendly and attentive, without hovering, and the restaurant was clean.

For me this breakfast was all about the view. It was a bit rainy so outside seating was not an option but this was the next best thing. The breakfast dish I ordered was aptly named, Basic Breakfast. It was all I wanted so I was not expecting frills. The eggs were decent but not super flavorful, I needed to add some salt and pepper. The bacon was cooked fine, not quite as crispy as I like, but I'm picky with bacon. And the potatoes were good. I really liked my iced latte I got with sugar free syrup. If you are stying near capitola village and want some decent food with an amazing view this is the place.

Views and drinks were stellar, food was ok, service was good. I absolutely loved being steps away from the beach! We came on a weekday for a late lunch and were seated very quickly. My strawberry lemonade cocktail was perfect on this warm day and had the right amount of sweetness, tartness, and alcohol. I started off with a cup of chowder, which was pretty darn good and then shared some calamari and fries with my husband. The calamari definitely could have had a little more batter and been crispier but I did enjoy the fries. I would return for drinks and views!

During our trip to Capitola, we stopped by Zelda's on the Beach and timed our reservation for 6:30 PM so we could catch the sunset during dinner. The restaurant was not too packed, so a reservation was not even necessary. We had the option to sit inside or outside, and we were lucky enough to get a booth by an open window. It gave us the perfect sunset view while staying comfortable and away from the winds, even on a warm evening. We started with the coconut shrimp, which ended up being my absolute favorite dish of the night. For entrées, we had the cioppino, a tomato based seafood stew with garlic bread that was flavorful but a little light if you are really hungry, and the sautéed mahi mahi served over coconut white rice. The rice was delicious, though I was not the biggest fan of the sauté on the fish itself. For our daughter, we ordered a milkshake, and that was the winner of the night, so creamy and absolutely amazing. Overall, Zelda's is worth visiting just for the location alone. Sitting by the beach with a view of the sunset makes it such a memorable stop. I have heard from others that brunch is even better than dinner, so next time we are in Capitola we will definitely be back to try their morning menu.

I don't know why this has such low reviews. The staff were nice. The food was great; I had the Eggs Benedict. And it came out super fast. We also ordered the cocktail Painkillers and it was amazing. Great views, friendly staff, great food and drinks. Will 100% be coming back again and again!

On the water and very very cold outside. They do have heaters. The staff was nice and the seating was good. Kinda cramped . Inside on a cold day is best. It's a great place to visit and the menu is vast. So beware. The drinks are well worth the try. I like eggs - with salmon. so I'm happy here. The Benedict's for the win. Easy in and easy out , the kids who work here and really nice and make it a happy experience .

What a super nice breakfast location right on the beach. Service was super nice and pleasant. I love eggs Benedict and was pleasantly surprised how delicious it was. I would definitely come back for a breakfast here.

    Fich and chips

Sorry but definitely not worth the price you pay. I could not finish the fish an chips, batter just didn't taste good. The clam chowder was very much lacking flavor, $145 dollars later and I was very disappointed. Service was not that well either. Just not friendly at all. Would definitely not be going back, Margaritaville will definitely stay our go to.

(I have, no joke, walked by it dozens of times without realizing it!) I found it from seeing it on a list of restaurant participants for Burger Week. Overall, I give Pete's 3.5 stars, and here's why... **Ambiance: 5 stars** With the bright and tastefully-decorated dining room along with the multiple windows overlooking the spectacular beach, you really can't beat this ambiance! Pete's has the fine-dining vibe that's perfect for that first date, anniversary or other special dining occasion when you want some quiet and mood lighting. **Service: 4 stars** We were seated right away, even without reservations. It was a Sunday, and there was no wait or crowd. Service was quick and friendly. Mid-dinner, a server broke some glassware right behind my seat and needed us to move so they could sweep under our table and feet. They ended up moving us to a better table (next to the window) instead of having us stand there to watch them sweep. Accidents happen, and I felt they handled that well. **Food: 3 stars** Every item we ordered was delicious and fresh, and all arrived quickly. However, the menu was fairly compact, and the amount of food is even more compact. I was excited Pete's had lobster rolls (one of my all-time favorite food items EVER; $28) on their menu, so I didn't hesitate to order that along with a lychee martini. My partner ordered the bolognese ($30) and an old fashioned. We ordered the polenta as an appetizer. All of it was tasty, but oh-so-small. The cheddar polenta was like a taste test size (maybe 4 TBs), and the lobster roll was the smallest I had ever seen in my life. I didn't want to be rude, but I wanted to laugh when it arrived at our table! The lobster roll was smaller than my hand. It looked like circus food with all super tiny sizes. **Price/Value: 2 stars** You don't come to Pete's for the value because the portions are.... micro. TIP: If you have a big appetite or skipped a meal that day, I suggest going elsewhere or be ready to turn over a paycheck because you'll need to order a lot to fill up. It is worth it, however, if you fancy a light-filled room with views of the sparkling ocean and sounds of the waves crashing on the golden sands of Capitola!

In hindsight, that's partly on me since seafood fettuccine isn't exactly a dish I usually expect to be exceptional anywhere. The Alfredo sauce was bland and needed a lot of pepper to bring some life to it. Most of the seafood was overcooked and chewy, particularly the fish. The clams were probably the best part of the dish and were cooked reasonably well. Overall, the view was fantastic, but beyond that, the meal didn't do much for me. Between the slow service and underwhelming food, this ended up being one of the worst meals I had on my trip.

We ordered: - The grilled artichoke - local artichokes are great, but this preparation was outstanding. It tasted as though it had been wood roasted, then dressed with citrus and delicious anchovies. This was my wife's favorite dish of the night - The wedge salad - you can get a wedge salad at many places, but theirs is really exceptional. The lettuce is crisp and fresh, the eggs are thinly strained, which make for a wonderful mouthfeel and flavor with the green goddess dressing. The crispy bacon, croutons, and sunflower seeds make for a nice contrast in texture - The brick chicken - this is one of their signature dishes, and for good reason. The chicken is tender and moist (likely brined in advance) and grilled crispy, flattened with a brick. The vegetable and polenta that accompany it are very tasty in their own, and together the rich chicken, slightly bitter green vegetable, and creamy polenta make for a wonderful and deeply flavorful bite. - the smores cup - this was really good. The mousse is a very rich dark chocolate pot de creme and the marshmallow fluff is torched perfectly. The finely ground graham crackers make for an elevated version of the smore in each spoonful - the crème brûlée cheesecake - this was equally excellent. The cheesecake is fluffy and light, the creme brûlée top gives a nice crisp, the crust is crumbly and delicious and there was a fruit sauce on top (maybe rhubarb) that tied the whole dish together

It was savory, with the nuttiness of the roasted cauliflower being enriched by the hazlenut and sesame, while the parsley and splashes of citrus added light freshness. The textures were a great mix of creamy with some crunch from whole garbinzo beans. - Brick Chicken 4/5: The chicken was buttery and well seasoned. It was moist, and the skin had a great crispness. The knock would be the polenta, which did not seem to be as seasoned or cheesey. Dessert - House "smore" 5/5: Decadent, rich, and a strike between sweet and savory. Our walk back was mostly a conversation about we should have ordered more. - Tiramisu Causcasian Cocktail 1/5: We would not get this again; it seemed like a lightly whipped creme over ice with a dash of nutmeg. The meal was really great, but the service was on another level. Shout out to Abbie who saw us taking pictures before we were seated and deduced what we were celebrating; it added to our excitement.
