Said my dishwasher needed $420 repair. They emailed me a bill immediately after they diagnosed the issue -- when I inquired how the initial service fee would factor into the estimate, THEY NEVER RESPONDED but began harassing me for the service/diagnosis fee. They blew up my phone (called over 10 times in 24 hours and continued through the next week) he even threatened to knock on all of my tenants doors at 8am until they got paid for diagnosing despite their promise to incorporate it into fixing the issue. They were never concerned about helping me fix it, just collecting their $89 Decided a new dishwasher was a better option than repair but I had to hire a different company to install a new dishwasher who said there wasnt even anything wrong with the original dishwasher.

But now, I hate to say it -- but increasingly, they treat loyal customers like crap. They promise to call back with information, and NEVER do. Make appointments they don't keep, and don't call. --I get it when a business is understaffed with good techs -- but CALL and let the customer, who is waiting and counting on them, to let them know what's up. Respond. I bought my most recent primary refrigerator from them about a year ago in the $500 range. I started calling almost three weeks ago that the temp was in the 60's and I was using the freezer section as a fridge. After multiple calls and messages, they didn't show up until four days ago and said compressor was bad and it wasn't worth fixing -- but they'd take care of me. And then, they didn't get back to me about the options. When I reached them two days ago they said they'd give me another one for ~$550. --Hmm. So, despite that the one I bought should have lasted more than a year -- that's the best they can do for me for a replacement? After making me wait for over two weeks for them to even look at it. And of course, they've promised to call me back 2 x's since this last conversation --and haven't. Both my refrigerator and freezer were warm. The VinTech technician came out but stated that he could not access the freezer panel and recommended that the entire built-in unit be pulled out. This was extremely concerning to me. The refrigerator is a built-in GE Monogram, and the components needed for diagnosis and repair are accessible from within the unit. There is nothing behind the unit that would logically require it to be pulled out to access the freezer components. I requested a second opinion through my home warranty. The second technician was able to properly access the freezer, diagnose the issue as a failed freezer evaporator fan motor, and replace the motor--without pulling the built-in refrigerator out, all in 1 hour. The difference between the two service calls was significant. The second technician was able to complete the diagnosis and repair that the first technician said could not be accessed. If you have a high-end or expensive appliance, particularly a GE Monogram, I would not recommend allowing VinTech to service it based on my experience. I would strongly recommend requesting a different service provider rather than risking an incorrect diagnosis or unnecessary work to the appliance. I am grateful that I requested a second opinion, because otherwise I could have been left with an unresolved appliance and an expensive recommendation to pull out a built-in unit unnecessarily.
