Upon walking in, we were greeted by the staff who were both extremely friendly and polite. They showed us to the spa room, gave us the instructions (shower prior to getting into the hot tub, how to work the shower/steam room, how to work the tub) and let us be for our hour time. Because it was our anniversary, we also requested the sparkling cider and rose petals...I'm so glad we did. It really was the most perfect time and so relaxing. They flash/dim the lights momentarily when you have about ten minutes left, which is a nice touch as we had put our phones away to be in the moment. I was skeptical at first to try massage again after having lackluster messages in the area. Wow, Emily is fantastic! Her space is not easy to find, but it is SO worth it! When you enter the building on the lower level, you come into an old warehouse. High ceilings, polished wood floors and space. Emily is located on the second floor down a narrow-ish (compared to the rest of building) hallway. Coming into Massage Junkees is like entering a peaceful retreat. Today is bright and sunny, though you'd never know it. The lighting in the massage room has that beautiful evening glow that adds to it's cozy warm feel. Emily will ask you each time what you'd like - Swedish, deep tissue, and/or trigger points. She'll also ask about problem areas you'd like her to focus on or if there are more delicate areas/or injuries to be aware of. For this session, I'm in the midst of my final finals...I needed it ALL! For an hour Emily worked out the kinks and knots in my neck, back and shoulders. Then she messaged my legs and arms. I feel like a brand new woman. I'm relaxed and yet at the same time energized. I'll go home and continue writing my finals. What can I say about Massage Junkees and Emily...ahhhhhhh!
