Kody napping after his bath at Zen Dog.
    Maria P.

Recently had my three very dogs bathed at Zen Dog. The place was easy to find but parking is tricky. They have street parking but next time I'll use the public parking down the block because it's safer and easier for me when getting three mid size dogs out of the car. I had an appt with Corrine. She was willing to work with me as far as time and day. They are very flexible. I got them washed, brushed and nails cut. All three are hound dog mixes and are all over 60 pounds. They were done in about 1.5 hours so I had time to run errands. I can tell they love what they do. Christina was taking care of one dog as Corrine was washing another. I've used Corrine before and I know that I don't have to worry about my dogs in her care. Everyone there was great. My one dog Kody was a bit too anxious but it was no problem for them. Barking - oh they're dogs, it's ok. Our three boys can be a handful but it was all in a day's work - it's all good. Christina, the owner, wad patient and so easy going. I have to say you don't know how much your dog needs a bath until he gets a bath. They all looked, felt and smelled AMAZING. The price is reasonable for the services offered (remember to tip). They all did a fantastic job. Stop by for some doggy TLC. Here are pictures after they came home from their "spa" day with their new bandanas on. Thank you Zen Dog.

I'm deeply saddened to report this, as I am an animal lover. However, the advice I received from…read morethis store regarding the care of my dragon was potentially fatal. They told me to maintain a tank temperature of 110-115 degrees, whereas my vet recommended 95-105 degrees during the day with humidity levels between 35-60%, and 60-70 degrees at night with humidity levels between 30-45%. The store advised using forest floor as a substrate instead of sand. My vet warned that if my dragon ingests a wood chip from the forest floor, it could be more fatal than sand. Additionally, forest floor retains moisture, creating excessively high humidity levels at night, which is unsuitable for dragons. Their natural habitat is sandy, and forest floor substrates are more appropriate for snakes and turtles. The store also mentioned that I wouldn't see my dragon's poop and suggested stirring the substrate every few weeks and changing it every 3-6 months. This advice shocked my vet, who emphasized the importance of scooping the poop every time my dragon goes and monitoring it for signs of health. Using the wrong substrate like forest floor means you won't see the poop because it's not the correct flooring to use. I can clearly see and manage my dragon's poop appropriately. There were many other discrepancies between the store's advice and my vet's recommendations. If you decide to purchase a pet from this store, be aware that it comes without a warranty, and they may not know the age or sex of the pet, as was the case with mine. Always consult your vet for proper care instructions, despite the store's claim of having 40 years of experience, which my vet questioned. On a positive note, my dragon was inexpensive, the store was accurate about the night temperatures, and she is thriving now that I'm caring for her properly. In addition, they are a bit rude and try to make you look incompetent in front of others. I dislike speaking negatively about people or businesses, and I am sure there are positive aspects about this place too, but always consult your vet for the best care advice. I bought my dragon to save her and i feel like they might have tried to sabotage me or just have no idea how to care for dragons.

This place is begging to be shut down by animal control. The animals are all in small cages with…read moreterrible ventilation. It smells SO bad like uncleaned litter. There are baby bunnies in wire bottom cages. Their little paws were practically slipping through the wire and they could barely walk. Not that they could do much walking in the less than 2 feet of space they have. When I brought it up to the woman working there she tried to convince me that it was fine. I had to walk away to keep from losing it. There are dozens of exotic birds in tiny aquarium-like cages, the only ventilation was from tiny holes drilled into the plastic. It's clear that whoever owns this business has no empathy for these pets, I don't know how these employees sleep at night.
