I have been visiting dispensaries since they became legal in New Jersey. From Burlington to Bordentown, Route 22 in Union, a few others, and Zen Leaf in Lawrence Township. They offer a great selection, competitive prices, and discounts. Most staff members have been very helpful and a pleasure to work with. This is the closest dispensary to my home. Once you get used to turning in off Route 1, it has always been a pleasure to visit. If it's your first time, be aware that the entrance is sudden and can be easily missed. read more

So not sure where to start.. been coming here ever since they open and always had a pleasant experience. While I don't live nearby we often visit family that does and we would always stop by on our way back home. Since dispensaries became a lot more popular and there's one in every corner we started shopping nearby our home instead, however, this past weekend I decided to stop by at Zen Leaf again. To my complete surprise they sold me an empty pack of pre rolls to which I only realized (today) two days later.. I can't find the printed receipt and since I don't live close by to go back and complain, not sure what to do here. Just pretty upset and wanted to share so others are more aware, or suspicious, and check their order thoroughly prior to leaving the store or at the car before leaving the lot... Edit: Changing to 3 stars as I appreciate the acknowledgement and attempt to solve the issue. I did have someone reach out to me from Zen Leaf HQ. I had pleasant interactions and they tried to make it right by me, although not much they could do, according to them, since I no longer had the package with me. They offered 20% discount for next purchase or something instead. I also had someone from the actual store reaching out after, apologizing for the experience and saying that they will associate a discount with my account. Anyway, still $34 spent on an empty pack. Went in there and I'm going through the options on iPad. Dude at the front said nothing to help until I asked him. As we're going back and forth on the iPad an item was chosen mistakenly and I specifically told him I wanted only 3 things. He helped me find what I wanted then said $130 without reading my order over. As I handed him the money I said damn how much is the tax. He didn't answer and just gave me my receipt. Didn't explain it to me I had to read it myself and saw that I was charged and extra $60 for something I isn't want. Called the manger and his first questions was did you reread the order ??? Noooo he didn't. Then they refuse to refund me so he gave me a credit for $1 for any product. Cool then the manger walks away and this dude said ok so that will be $20 dollars. I do really like this store. I've been going to Zen Leaf about 1x/week since a few months after they opened, and the people who work there are always super, super nice. And their recommendations are always so on-point, and I'm very grateful for that. They frequently run promotions which is really fun too. The product is always very high-quality. If I ever open a swift lift and dump it out, it's always very kiefy, which I've not gotten in prerolls before. I stopped buying prerolls in the preceding legalized states because they were always trash, before ZenLeaf. However, one thing that's made me upset enough to review this place that I love, at 3 starts, is because the Swift Lifts are ALWAYS DIFFERENT SIZES!!! You may get double your money in one pack, or half your money's worth in another, however you look at it. This picture I'm including are from the two packs I purchased a few days ago, on the same day. I wish they would all be the same size. This is the most deceptive dispensary in the state of NJ - and it was hard to beat the other ones! When the state changed their "350MG" rules per 1/8th allotment - Zen brought their topicals to 100 MG and charged the same PRICE! They made the 100 MG package LARGER - purposefully to deceive consumers.. The dispensary was already overcharging for products but now they purposefully deceive and rip people off for 250 MG. Purchased lotion AND balm 5/26 @ $55 & $50 with 350 MG each... Purchased 7/20 and both are 100 MG - of course they didn't tell me, and also did not mention that only fractions of my allotment would be deducted because it wasn't 350 MG. I brought a friend who hasn't been to a dispensary before and I think this is a good starter place that isn't as intimidating. It's wide open and feels very upscale. Not to say I'm a connoisseur of dispensaries, but I'm used to seeing a smaller space with much more intimate interactions with the staff who really know their stuff as opposed to lining up in a fancy department store to get up to the counter to talk to someone to buy something you've probably already found on their website. I also don't recall seeing any "devices" in the shop, which again, I'm used to seeing in other stores I've been in. I've gone on to their website and wasn't that impressed. But, the customer service was pretty good. I did feel like we were supposed to know what we want before we got up to the counter and be rushed out of there because there were multiple checkout stations and there was a line, even though it wasn't very long. It's no skin off my back personally because I don't live anywhere near there and I visited the store while on vacation, but this may be a helpful review for locals. read more

This dispensary is on an easy accessible highway. Rt1 north. They have an in depth selection of various products. One downfall is the pricing. Expensive. They rarely run promotions. If they do its 10% off which is nothing at the high prices they charge. Good flower though. read more

Well I have been going here for a long time as a medical patient and always had a good experience. Since going recreational- it's obvious that zen is only about making $. Medical patients wait while the Rec line goes through. They have 6 lines open for rec and two lines open for medical. Being a medical patient I shouldn't have to wait. I have a medical need and I want to be in and out. I have brought this up to the staff many times and they just say it's management . I understand that it takes longer to process the medical patients- but then give us more lines open or have some type of prepaid drop box system. Bottom line-if you are medical patient I would recommend steering clear of Zen and going to a only medical dispensary such as breakwater or curaleaf . read more

I've stopped coming to this location due to the rude associates they have. The big security guard is not pleasant, but intimidating to some folks as well. Not myself personally, but he's a bit aggressive to some people. A smile goes a long way. Today was kind of my breaking point. I gave them another try since they had a couple strains rated at 51% and 52 percent respectively. I ordered 7 grams of it. Get home to read the label and it's 26%.....womp womp. I think you need to get you stuff together as well. Your first come first serve rule for pre orders absolutely defeats the purpose of a pre order as well. You folks could learn a thing or two from the entire operation at Union Chill in Lambertville. Friendly associates, and an actual meaningful pre order system. I visited on Saturday, April 30, 2022, late morning. Parking was not an issue and there was not a line to get in. Several local policemen with Security labels on their uniforms were very visible in front of the storefront and they couldn't have been more pleasant and helpful. I was greeted with a smile and was directed to the entrance. The dispensary staff were very friendly, helpful and accommodating. They opened doors for me and answered my questions politely. I must have been greeted no less than four times! I was treated in a very respectful manner by everyone, no exceptions. My purchase was quick and easy at a counter and I was given a complimentary discount based upon my use of the Zen Leaf app. Before arriving, I was a little apprehensive about the timing of my trip to the dispensary but my fears proved to be unfounded. I was refused service on Sunday due to a lack of a medical card. I checked the posted hours and saw they closed at 8pm on Sunday. It took a bit longer than usual to get there - 40 mins instead of 25 - and I arrived at 7:50 - 10 mins before the posted closing time. As I walked up to the front door, a security guard asked if I had a medical card. I told him no, and that I've never needed one before. The guard told me they were too busy and were only allowing customers with a medical card into the building. Seems Its now a crapshoot that you'll be able to shop there if they are too busy and you don't have a medical card. read more

They had my original review removed. I was sold expired, oddly scented and tasting marijuana. As a medical patient, I've been there several times. I've had numerous issues, but never like this. They ripped me off for $90, total transaction $125. I've sent some of it to the MD state Police lab, as I have a cousin there, to see what was added and why the scent and color was unusual. Now, the staff has taunted and harassed me, with the fact that they knew me, like KNEW me, and still treated me this way is really unfortunate.
