Best dispensary in New Jersey. In and out quick, never any issues, super friendly staff.

It's a shame because when I first heard about this place I WAS* excited. Whenever I go in there's always an obstacle. A few of my friends warned me about this place and I should have listened. 1, The products are either ALWAYS hybrid or sold out. The flower is mid. 2, Don't bother asking either the store employees or call center hours of operation because you'll get a different answer every time. 3, "Express pick up" is a trap!! The only reason for this review is because of my experience with "Express Pick Up". I ordered ahead of time because I was in a rush for work. I work overnight and was due that night. I called the call center an hour ahead to place my pick up order. I was told I can go into the dispensary, head to the register, and quickly check out. That was wrong. Wednesday 8/10 between the hours of 4-6pm, I arrive to the dispernary and the two front desk employees were not helpful. One was a female: pale, blue eyemakeup, light brown hair, & half shaved head, and the other male: slightly tan, older guy, glasses, and balding at the top. I came in and explained to them I have an express pick up. I was told I still have to wait in the regular line. I asked what's the purpose of the express pick up? The two people at the front said "nothing". I explained to them, clearly frustrated, that I placed ahead for a reason because I have work. I asked if there was anyway they could help me. The two go "nope" without looking at me, making me feel very undervalued. So I had to wait in line like everyone else, a solid 17 minutes. After finally getting to the register, I spoke to the manager. I asked why I had to wait for an "express pick up"? All the manager said was she was sorry- no explanation, no comfort, it was a waste of my time even asking for her. I'm a member of the rewards program, so to not be offered any help is disgusting. No one could say anything along the lines of "Hey sorry for the miscommunication. This time we will allow you to go to the front of the line but please know that our express pick up method is still under works." SOMETHING. This dispensary's products, customer service, and general energy should definitely be your second choice. With all due respect, this place is a headache. read more

I bought a dispo just for it to not charge which is very disappointing and they wouldn't even give store credit, even though it is brand new.They were even aware that this specific product was defected because the lady who attended me knew exactly what product I was showing her. $50 down the drain. This was by far the BEST experience I have ever had at a dispensary. Every single employee I interacted with during my time here (from the front desk staff, to the bud tenders, to the security officer) was exceptionally knowledgeable, professional, patient AND friendly. My favorite thing about this place is that my bud tender took the time to explain terpenes to me and help me select products that met my needs. At other dispensaries I have felt totally rushed and given unsatisfactory answers to my questions. I was really tired of buying random products and hoping they'd be helpful. Here, it was a totally different experience as they were passionate about the products. They knew them well and answered questions patiently and fully. I left feeling confident that everything I picked out would be a helpful product for me. Through no fault of their own (I burst my tire on the curb turning into the parking lot) I was stranded at this buisness for several hours. Thankfully, the waiting room chairs are really comfortable. I called roadside assistance who told me help was on the way. After waiting 90 minutes (a little over the estimated wait time) I called to check remaining ETA and learned they never dispatched anyone... and it would be an additional 3 hours before someone came! I tried calling a friend to help change the tire. The Security officer let me know that if my friend wasn't able to come, he would ask someone from the nearby car dealership to let us borrow the tools and help me get it done. My friend arrived, but we were missing a specific tool because my tires weren't standard size. One of the bud tenders had almost the same car as me so he had the factory tool on in his car and was happy to let us borrow it. Another bud tender offered me some bottled water, and I really appreciated the thoughtful gesture because I had been there a while was thirsty. Really like this establishment & associate let me know about their location in Neptune which is much closer to where I live... I went to Zen the first time a few weeks ago. The building is new and clean and modern. There was so wait and the reception people were very welcoming and friendly. Once buzzed inside thete was no wait. The staff were very knowledgeable and friendly. I don't like to smoke and they have a decent selection of edibles. The staff took their time and got me the strains thst would be the most helpful. It was a very nice place and I would go again. Really appreciate the steps Zen Leaf has taken for their medical patients. I went in today for the first time since recreational sales began and it was super busy! BUT they had separate, up front, parking for med card holders. I didn't wait in line. I went in to see a huge wrap around inside but no one on the two medical lines. Walked right up, got my meds and walked out! Oh, they also have 10% off your full purchase for med card holders! I'm so glad they stepped up for us patients... I will be back soon :) read more

I was very excited to visit Zen Leaf's Lawrence location. My experience was really good until it was my turn to place my order. My bud tender was the most pompous and arrogant man. He looked at the customers as if he was disgusted that people were there purchasing their products. I felt like saying "dude you are a cashier at a weed store, take it down a notch!" Not really what you would expect from a bud tender. He was the tallest guy working at the counter, had long black hair, possibly Latino or middle eastern. This guy should be working at Abercrombie & Fitch where he would just have to fold shirts, treat customers like crap, and look good. The I'm too good for everyone vibe this dude gives off is disgusting. I bet this guy tells people that he's an "alpha male". You know the type!! Totally made me feel like I had no idea what I was talking about when ordering. Very sarcastic, not in a good way but in an intimidating way. Just a really bad experience. I will never go to Zen Leaf Lawrence again. The botanist and the Cannabist do not treat their customers with such disrespect. I will give those places my business. Bought a few times, and suffered through this "this isn't in stock" or "it's a 20-40 min wait". I preordered today early, showed up early and they didn't have it, even though website said they had stock. After expressing frustration, not cursing or anything inappropriate. The customer to my left said to me "F:$&k you" to which I responded in kind. Then the manager Sat had 4 staff behind him watching and glaring at me, a customer to my right cursing me out (uh, why is she making comments? This isn't her conversation) and i saw a security guard at the end of the counter to my right staring at me. 9 people vs me? Then Sat said after I responded the same way customer said to me "well, F$&k you, this isn't your business", Sat said "now you're abusing customers you have to leave." I left, called customer service and they said to go back the store and they would nicely resolve the issue but i had to go back immediately. I told customer service I didn't feel comfortable because they are upset and wanted perhaps police or someone to be with me. They said they had security, but they were already glaring at me, but I went anyways despite my reservations. When I got there, Assistant General Manager, Ryan, wouldn't let me in the building, said "how dare you say you're calling the police because you're scared. You are banned and if you don't leave now I will call the police and have them physically remove you." He also called me a liar, I am 100 lbs, I was scared. I'm certain I will never get a refund (both Sat and Ryan said no, and afterwards when I walked away I heard Ryan talking to staff laughing at me) and I'm certain this company doesn't care. Hours on the site are a total lie. I've been turned away multiple times including when I was there 4hr before the recreational closing time.

Broken seal on the inside and outside of the container on my bud. I realized only when I went home because they staple the product in the bag behind the counter. When I returned to show them the best they could do was 20% off my next order. Their products are just weak. Spent $25 on a 10 pack of gummies and you don't even get a slight buzz from one. If I want help sleeping I'd take melatonin which is a hell of a lot cheaper. Their buds are just subpar. If you ever get up to Maine and see what the dispensaries sell there you'd be blown away. You'd be amazed at the quality and price. If you search for this store location on Apple Maps, The store hours will be listed from 8AM-10PM, but make sure you check for the hours that are designated for medical card holders vs recreational users. I'm assuming that this is a common mistake because the gentleman at the front desk seemed personally offended that I would show up during the wrong time for recreational users. So if you want to avoid upsetting the employees, recreational users can show up from 10AM-9PM. I forgot to ask for the guys name, but I do remember the ugly gauges he had in his ears. Best try and avoid him. You would think someone working at a dispensary would be more relaxed and friendly. read more

Great staff, clean, I was in and out and I went on a Friday night at about 9:50 when recreational sales were just ending. I called the customer service line before going in because I'm a very inexperienced user of cannabis but wanted to find a new solution to pain management as I taper off of pharmaceutical pain meds. The guy on the phone was SO PATIENT, SO KNOWLEDGEABLE and made great recommendations even though I had no idea what to even ask for or look for. He even gave me a number I could text him at directly if I had any more questions. All in all I had a great experience and continue to go there! read more

Although they have good gummies pieces they are wildly over priced. 100mg [10mg/1 gummie] us around $30USD. I can get 500mg Wonka bar in NYC for $40. In these terms it would cost over $100 to get 500mg eatable. In addition, they don't sell chocolates. They say "kids will eat it". But no one there has kids if they actually believe a kid will choose a dark chocolate bar over gummies. It's weird; NJ law says you cannot have baked goods like brownies or cookies. Chocolate is NOT a baked good and it's completely and totally legal to sell. I guess they can prop up their prices only due to convenience; If I need some and I don't have time to go elsewhere I'll pay the 3x dollars. But 1mg of THC is extremely high---- highest I seen in the e tire state so far; I have been to at least a dozen other locations throughout the state. I think people who this place is cheap didn't shop around much. Lower your prices and read the laws better. read more

Today, I stopped in for the second time and I can't say this enough- this team is DAZZLING. From the second my hand touched the front door handle to enter this store I knew I was 1- about to have an amazing experience. 2- be provided with the best service and care on this planet. 3- able to trust the guidance of the staff. 4- learn some new things about the product I picked up- all while- learning more about my potential product options in the future. 5- genuinely going to enjoy my time with everyone staffed today. Visit break down : Was greeted by the effervescent and sweet Camilia. She was quick, efficient, and profession - as usual. Once checked in- she guided me to head on inside and that's exactly what I did. I walked in excited and hopeful that Lexi was going to be working and was able to help me out and alas! She was!!! I walked up to her lane and before I even knew it... the full staff remembered me and said hello. Let me say that again... FULL STAFF. FULL. STAFF. In customer service... that's RARE that a FULL STAFF remembers who you are and what you purchased your last visit... and this team did. It was MAGICAL. They run this location with pride and it shows down to every second spent shopping in their location. You can just tell. It shows. It truly does. I did have a slight issue with a leaking cart at, but after making the staff aware of this, they made it right and replaced the cart free of charge. What a horrible dispensary. Went there a couple of times and each time was a terrible experience. I've been to many dispensaries from Washington state, California, Colorado, Massachusetts and even Puerto Rico plus many more. So I've been to my far share of medical/rec dispensaries I've never came across a dispensary like this. Will never come back here and will be sharing the horrible experiences I've had at this place. The worst part is that they will stay in business and keep scamming people of their money. They don't seem to have anything in order. From the horrible parking situation to guards screaming at you from across the room. Wowww what a way to lower the bar. I'm assuming the owners/managers have no care in the world to fix these problems. As they keep showing up on their reviews. Please do not enter this establishment as they will rob you and kick you out once they have their money. each worker creates their own rules every time I went it was always something different. From not accepting people after 745 pm when the website says 8pm. To the bouncers directing traffic in the parking lot. Overall this place sucks and has no right to call itself a dispensary. And that's not even talking about the cannibas they sale there. Super stale weed non of the containers have any humid control packets in them. That's a huge red flag for someone like me. Other than that most of the budtenders are pretty nasty and rushing you to get out of their face. The screens they have above the desk are useless as well. While waiting in line you cannot see what they have on the menu. Something that's good to see for someone who's been screamed at by the guards for using they're phone to see what Zen leaf has. All in all this place is just a scam to rip consumers off. Zen leaf should be reviewed by the state if possible. read more

The staff is amazing! Everyone greets you with a warm welcome and a smile, even under their mask :) They are also very knowledgeable on product and are genuinely concerned about what you need. When I went back, they asked how what I had purchased previously had worked. Customer service on the spot. They also consult with you if you are new to the mm world. I highly recommend this place.
