I was impressed by the ease of scheduling online and the pricing for a TWO hour hot stone massage! This spot is located in two houses in Dilworth. Note: parking is tricky and a bit tight. I drive decent-sized SUV and was concerned about the tight parking spaces. Upon arrival, I was warmly greeted and did not wait long for my massage therapist. I was escorted to the neighboring house where my massage would take place. If you're expecting a high-end luxury spa feel, you will be disappointed. It's a more historic, down-home feeling. My masseuse was great. I felt very relaxed and even dozed off several times despite trying not to do so. Overall, it was a great massage but I just wish the accommodations had been a bit better. There was an "old" smell In my clothes when I left, the same smell I noticed on the sheets. After a massage, I'm accustomed to being offered a bottle of water given the activation of my lymphatic system but didn't get that. I had a very bad experience 10/10/25 with Zen massage. I had a 1 hour deep tissue massage scheduled for 4pm. I received a call around noon that the massage therapist would be running late and I needed to come at 4:30pm if I wanted to keep session. Options were come later or cancel massage. I agreed to the 4:30pm session: I arrived at 4:15pm and checked In . The massage therapist didn't come and get me to take me back until 4:33pm. Late again. The actual massage was the WORST massage I have ever had. I have had many over the years and I am a sports medicine. Practitioner- so I know what a therapeutic session should feel like: she concluded the session at 5:20pm- almost 20 mins short of the 60 minute session I signed up and paid for. Highly suggest trying Massage Envy or another local massage place first. Long story short, i was going here for a while going to Evan and had good service. I went in again, had a bad experience and I left an authentic constructive review for zen on google. A YEAR LATER, I decided to give it another shot. The owner called me and said my name was "flagged" in the system and that I couldn't come in for a service. Instead of trying to provide a positive new experience, he literally told me I had to DELETE my negative review on google. What a way to run a small business...into the ground. Update- after expressing my concerns and dissatisfaction, the owner called and offered a free massage visit due to the review and complaint. While I appreciate the effort, this offer would be more valid and sincere before a negative review or complaint with the attendant at the spa. I had been cancelled on 3 separate occasions within hours of my appointment time. I stand by my original statement, "I would be charged $35 if I cancel working 24 hours of my appointment." 2 separate day of cancellations and a schedule mix up is very disappointing. I am charged a $35 cancellation fee if I do not cancel within 24 hours but am offered nothing when it happens to me. Also the bathroom has roaches as seen in the last visit I had. Unfortunately I will be finding another massage company. I love my therapist here at Zen, but the lack of customer service and compensation for me when things go awry is unacceptable. read more

The massage I had was good but I was not aware that the therapist was going to use cupping. I do not believe in that nor like it. This being done while I was face down, without my authorization and I had huge blood bruises and massive skin discoloration all up and down my back. I got home and it looked like I had been beaten. I meant to update this review after my last visit to Zen. The manager contacted me to come in and try another massage. This massage was much better and lasted the full time! My husband and I booked a couples massage like we normally do. We were brought in 5 minutes late and the massage ended 8 minutes early. That is almost 15 minutes of massage time I missed. The past couple of times I've been I noticed the 50 minute massage was actually more like 45 or 40, but the last time it was more obvious. My therapist reeked of cigarette smoke making it really hard for me to relax. I haven't been back since this time even though they have sent tons of coupons and offers. read more

A lot of rubbing softly, but never an increase in pressure as I requested from the lady. We discussed me being a marathon runner, which she complimented. Still, no increase in pressure. My therapist greeted me and said " we are going to be in the driveway today. I mean literally the driveway. They assigned me to this room and it's cold and smelly and the energy here is bad". We arrived to the room and it was literally a closet. It was cold, no lighting on and it smelled like mildew. She apologized and allowed me to cancel the appt. There was no offer to move massage to another room or therapist etc. Discussed this with management and they apologized. I've been here twice and never had this happen. My therapist cancelled her appointments for the rest of the day and left before I did. I wonder if she didn't want to work. Update. He used the perfect amount of pressure and got deep into my knots and problem areas. He also did some stretches that really helped me. I would highly recommend requesting him. I am writing a review of your establishment & the Karen behavior I endured after being a customer for 5+ yrs. We both know I have video footage of this incident so good luck trying to lie about what you did. I have never had an issue at Zen until now. 2 months ago, you cancelled while I was on my way. No apology/reschedule. I had taken PTO &finally found an ideal therapist. I tried several times to reschedule, but was told they wouldn't know her availability until the Thurs before each wkend. Each time I called, they told me she was full. I asked to be on a wait list (never added)& speak to a manager (never called). This went on for 1.5 months, to the point she stopped booking wkends. I decide to take off again on a weekday. When I called, the woman took my info but when we were ready to confirm, she randomly put me on hold & disappeared forever. The phone cuts back in, they put me on hold again, then hung up &stop answering. I stopped by the next day & a lanky blonde woman was at the front desk. I told tell her what's been going & asked to speak to a mgr. She told me no mgr was there but that she would take my info & dismissed me. I told her that I wasn't okay with that resolution anymore, & wanted to know why I was being mistreated. I asked if she could pull up my acct to see if there was a reason that I was unaware of & immediately her disposition changed. She responded to me saying she was going to call the cops &that I was making her uncomfortable. Then Karen proceeded to leave me in the lobby alone to go behind the drape and tell someone that she didn't feel safe.I was SO confused. She told me to leave & threatened me numerous times when all I was doing was asking why I was having so much trouble rescheduling.It is 2024 so we ALL should know by now that it is UNACCEPTABLE to arbitrarily threaten the police on people of color. I am a professional and a mother. I video taped her to protect myself.I continued to ask her calmly to please help me understand what I did & why am I being threatened when all I did was ask a ? as a patron of 5 yrs. Karen told me to leave HER establishment-- but yet in the beginning she told me no mgr was around. So turns out she was the owner, treating patrons this way! Each time another customer (all white women) came in, she treated them with the utmost respect, giggling and cordial but for some reason I was making her uncomfortable? She could never tell me what I did. At some point she looked over top of my head and asked the woman in back of me if she needed help. I was invincible. It was the most disgusting, degrading thing that has ever happened to me. Eventually there were 5 women there who all were being helped, so I asked all of them did anyone else feel I made them uncomfortable? No one could say a word because I had graciously let them all in front of me to avoid this Karen holding up their appts with her nonsense. One of them said she was sorry I had to go through this but said "maybe it's not a good fit." Even though her intent wasn't malicious, it ignorantly suggests I don't belong. Divinely, I ended up seeing the therapist I had been asking for who gave me a hug w/tears streaming down my face &apologized for what I went through. THREE police arrived 1 hr later. They didn't bother taking my name because Karen was absurd. I asked them to please find out WHY she called them and WHY I couldn't book an appt. She LIED saying I've spoken inappropriately to her therapists.How considering I don't want convo during my massages. I was told I am never allowed back. If I had done such a thing, then why am I receiving a hug from my last therapist & another offering to book me that day in front of you? these 1 star reviews show how this owner behaves- cancelling on long standing customers & lying on them when you complain. I flew to high ground on u because u are NOT more important than my life. Today though, u will learn a lesson about the disrespect u showed me, & I hope u fold as a result. I did this, and was not even offered an apology for the hassle of having to come in to get a refund for THEIR error. I then called back to re-schedule an appointment.
