My initial couple of massages with Amanda were pretty good. After that they became just ok and mundane and predictable. A really good therapist will change things up every time and make you feel like all your issues were addressed each visit. Unfortunately here not so much. This was my first visit with Zoe Massage. I booked a "first visit" appointment with Hope at the Carmel Commons location. My total was $95.00. The suite is on the second floor; they do have an elevator. Thoroughly enjoyed my massage with Hope. She may be small in stature, but her hands are mighty!!! Super cute and chic massage studio. I was in town for a conference and had time to spare so made the most of it and got a 90 minute massage with Amber. Super relaxing and straight to the point. Minimal chatting and put my mind to ease! (Stayed at the Ballantyne and they were booked however the spa rating were low so I'm glad I went with Zoë's) Amber discussed the benefits of cupping which I will look into in my hometown. I couldn't add hot stone online and since I booked overnight and wasn't within the time period to let them know I wanted hot stone added to my service. Really wish I could have given a higher review. But I've been here twice and saw two different therapists for "deep tissue" work. Unfortunately, neither were deep tissue (Swedish at best). The last visit was what prompted me to leave this review today. About 20 mins after leaving the massage my neck became very stiff. I've had plenty massages before and never have my neck been stiff after one. So that was very strange to me. But the therapist was nice. Typically, therapists ask you about the pressure. This one did not. About midway through I had to request for more pressure (even then It was not done for the remainder of the massage). If you are looking to book this place the ambience is nice. But at $110/hr please let your therapist know and say specifically "I would like deep firm pressure for the entire massage," if "deep tissue" is what you are looking for. Even if you aren't getting a deep tissue I feel being a bit more deliberate is needed. Needless to say I'll be looking to get another proper deep tissue massage done elsewhere. This was my experience. I know some people actually love this place. But I gave it 2 chances. read more

Janice's hands are so magic that I hunted her down when she left her previous place. It had been a year and I was ready to get back outside once things started opening back up. I was in desperate need of a massage and I knew exactly who I was going to for my message. Sadly, when I called the place where I'd normally go, they told me Janice left. I was devastated. I regrouped and went on the hunt to see where she landed. Lo and behold, she landed at this gem of a place. Janice is so attentive and really listens to your wants and needs. She checks in during your session to make sure her pressure is just right. Her foota massages are to die for. If you're looking for a massage therapist, Janice is it! Zoe Massage is a really nice facility. They provide you with complimentary water (sparkling and still) and tea. All the staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Terrible customer service. I had attempted to book a massage online and had an issue with their online booking system. Last night I had tried to book a massage for the following week and somehow it booked for the very next morning. The next morning I received a call to see why I wasn't there. So I called them back to let them know I didn't book it for the very next day which was a only a few hours prior, I had booked it for a week out. We went back-and-forth on the phone for a long time. Despite the fact that I had supposedly booked the appointment only a few hours before, despite the fact that I was a new client and it was clearly a mistake, the owner of the business charged my credit card for $104.00 anyway. It was obviously clearly a mistake, and given I had booked it only a few hours prior to when they said the appointment was, they really can't justify that they were missing out on any business because they would not have filled that slot anyway given I had booked it late at night for supposedly the very next morning. So be aware, it seems like they are only interested in getting your money. I'm still perplexed. Apparently the $104 was far more important than a new client and more important than any error or misunderstanding booking, The inflexibility is quite stunning. Rachael did offer to apply only 50% of that charge towards another massage, but do they seriously think one can relax after being treated so poorly? And I doubt it makes any sense for them to have me show up already upset to get part of my "investment" back by booking another massage, but they've not left me with any other options. I have run a business myself for 25 years and I find it quite appalling that someone would choose to run a business this way. Fortunately I was able to book a massage with April Ann Arigoni at Massage by AAA nearby. She was amazing! Very easy to book, fantastic customer service. My husband and I had our first massages since quarantine today and we're so glad we booked here because we were both impressed with how skilled our massage therapists were and that they were very careful and followed safe covid protocols! We did a 90 minutes couples massage. My therapist was Amanda and I did a massage with cupping. She did a fantastic job and was able to find and work through sore spots throughout my body. I also asked her to massage my abdomen since I have digestive issues and was blown away by her detailed and extensive massage work there. My husband had Janice and did a swedish massage. He said she was extremely thorough, regularly checked in to make sure he was comfortable and worked on the areas he asked her to focus on while also making sure to work on the rest of his body too. Zoë Massage & Bodywork is located in a small office building park. The office itself is located on the second floor and once I opened the door, I was happy for the serenity and tasteful décor. The room that I occupied for a massage was lovely with a black and white concept. I recently had a 90-minute massage by Amanda. Although the masseuse who provided service to me was good, for some reason I could not fully relax too thoroughly enjoy the massage. I enjoyed the aroma and the ability to play my own music. My favorite part of the massage was when Amanda focused on my feet. I think any future massages will be for reflexology only. Her & Drea are amazing! Their education is above & beyond & they are passionate with their craft. Zoe Massage is a hidden little gem off of Park Rd near Montford. Located in a building with 3 private quiet rooms that provide a homey vibe. They understand the difference pain & relaxation. Its comforting to know that they are there to help you with any specific area and communicate with you if certain areas need more work than others. I have enjoyed Rachel's massages for several years and feel she's the best around. I'm a runner and she can always tell what part of my body is tight or sore, even when I sometimes can't. Once she does, she goes to work on that spot and it's always better when I leave. She also listens well to what my needs are for that day's session and does deep tissue, relaxing, or whatever massage preference is the best fit.
