Came here for the first time with my mom for a couples 1 hour deep tissue massage the other night and we had a very enjoyable time. I prefer a really strong deep tissue massage and had mentioned that to the front desk when i booked my appointment, they were accommodating and made sure we matched with the right therapists. I had Steve and he was great! At first Steve was very gentle, as most massage therapist usually are because i'm quite petite so they assume i cant take the pressure, but as i told Steve could use more strength he was VERY firm! I could tell he knew exactly which areas were tight and where he need to focus to undo the knots. Steve even found knots in areas i didnt know i had. My mom's massage therapist was Yoyo, she must have been very relaxing because I could her my mom snoring through the majority of the massage session. Pricing wise they are more affordable compared to the other massage parlors in the area, which is great because i'd be able to justify coming back more often. I have a membership here and pay $65 a month. This includes one massage a month but I go at least twice a month. I work in surgery and spend hours in the operating room so regular massages are a must! I always leave feeling relaxed and muscle tension relieved. Clean environment (which is the minimum expectation) but not the most aesthetic "vibe". All of my masseuses have been great but Angie and Hui are my favorites. They are both methodical, and both have strong pressure, great touch, and amazing technique that is consistent every time. (Unfortunately did not like Lily's haphazard technique and weak pressure). They offer add ons like hot stone and aromatherapy. Only downside is that the rooms are all connected with an open space near the ceiling. This means you hear everything from guests that come and go and talking throughout the space but they play relaxing music, I am too relaxed to care, and I usually fall asleep anyway ;P Clean, friendly staff, gets the job done! read more

Recently, I visited Zen Massage Therapy because my friend kindly gifted me a 60 min Swedish massage. It has been a stressful month and this was a great stress relief. I decided to take my mom too and we left happy with the experience. Since then we're starting to come back routinely. Zen Massage Therapy is an Asian Woman owned business located in Santa Theresa. Thank you Tina, Dores, and Joanna for the great experience! Booking was easy. You can either do so online or call directly. They send you a text confirmation for your appointment. I appreciate how flexible they were overall. I had a 60 minute session and got to split it 30 min each between my mom and I. When we brought my aunt along, we split 90 minutes across the three of us. The plaza itself has plentiful parking. I can tell anytime I go I'm not going to have to worry about finding a spot. Upon getting there, they have you fill out a form with focus areas. I really liked this concept so that there's more attention where you need it. They offer private rooms that are either single or shared. Once you're inside, they give you time to settle in and get undressed. There are hooks to hang up your clothes and belonging, and a small digital clock if you need the time (probably won't pay attention to it anyways but nice it's there). There is a gap between the walls so you might be able to hear what's going on outside. Honestly I was so in the zone and there was music playing that if there was any noise, it wasn't distracting enough to affect the experience. The massage itself was great. My shoulder has always had tense knots, and they were able to help relieve that. My masseuse put in a lot of strength into it which I appreciate. I left feeling quite relaxed and it was a noticeable difference in my energy. My mom has been to a couple different places and really enjoyed her experience at Zen Massage. She usually is critical, but only had good things to say that she wanted to come back again. Super happy she felt that way because she's always complaining how sore she feels. At the end, they are kind enough to get you water. After my massage, I looked at other places to compare and theirs is reasonable and more affordable. For a 60 minute Swedish massage, it is normally $65. The price goes down if you do a couple session ($125 total) or have a membership ($55). We ended up getting a membership because it was a wonderful offer overall. Every month you pre-pay for at least one 60 minute session and receive membership pricing. There are no additional fees and you can cancel anytime. Plus, you can book for your friends and family which means they get your membership pricing too! At the end of your session, they provide envelops to tip your masseuse. There provide a gratuity guide. My only critique is that although they do a great job, the amount on the guide is over 20%. It is a new place and so wanted to give it a try. I was quite pleased with the Deep Tissue massage for 60 min by Eva. I was under lot of stress personally when I went in but the massage, the ambience and the background music totally relaxed me. I would highly recommend the place. They charge less than many others in the vicinity - $70 for 60 min of regular massage. They also have an annual plan which works out to $55 per month when you sign up for a year. Keep in mind, they accept only cash. There is an ATM at the site though. I plan to be a regular customer and would highly recommend it. read more
