First time visit. The massage was good as I received adequate pressure for all my muscles. However, if there is one improvement that I would suggest to management, I would ask that the therapists wash their hands before massaging my face. It's a little gross having them massage my feet, ask me to turn over, and then immediately massage my face. They may have used a towel in between to wipe down my feet before getting to my face, but I don't think that's adequate. Best foot spa I've ever been to. The spa was clean and gently stylish. It wasn't about being cool, it was about comfort, welcome, and space to restore mentally and physically through the touch of massage. I had some special needs today because of recent injury and the spa and my masseuse Steven were fantastic in accommodating me where I needed alternate position options, like not being able to lay down on my back or belly. I did the 30x30 package. Perfect for what I needed to find restoration! Steven did such a great job making me feel comfortable and cared for. And for some reason, when he giggled at giving me back my socks, I found it to be a fun and lighthearted moment for some reason. He just seemed to have a kind and fun personality that carried through his hands with compassion and tenderness in his care. I'll be coming back. And I'll definitely be asking for Steven again. Be mindful the masseuse's speak Chinese. I think that's great! I was able to speak with them easily as I speak it as a second language. My husband and I came here for the first time. He got a 60 minute foot massage by Rose. I got the 60 minute Swedish by CoCo. The place itself was nice and clean however the actual massages were TERRIBLE! I've literally never had a bad massage in my life until today. Whatever technique CoCo did was definitely NOT Swedish. She dug the pointy part of her elbow in me for the entire time. I couldn't relax at all. It was so bad that I actually stopped her from doing my back and told her that she could just focus on my legs but unfortunately that wasn't any better. My husband's foot massage was terrible . I want to leave this review as constructive feedback for the business, not as a criticism of the individual therapist. My appointment was scheduled for 7:00 PM for 60 min Swedish body massage with a female therapist. I arrived about 15 minutes early because I expected time for check-in, payment, confirming services, getting settled, and relaxing before the massage. Instead, the therapist came out around 7:03 PM to bring me to the room. After she left so I could get ready, I immediately noticed a very strong sweat odor coming from both the face cradle and the bed sheets. It was unpleasant enough that I had to ask for fresh linens before the session could begin. The therapist was very understanding and replaced everything without hesitation, but the process took another 5-7 minutes. By the time the massage actually started, we were already about 10 minutes behind schedule. The session ended at 7:59 PM, so it didn't feel like I received the full 60-minute massage experience I had booked. I don't blame the therapist. It seemed like she was working through back-to-back appointments and was doing her best within a tight schedule. My suggestion is for the business to build a 10-minute buffer between appointments. That time would allow staff to properly clean and refresh the room, replace linens, and create a more relaxing experience for the next client without cutting into the scheduled treatment time. If scheduling is a concern, the business could also consider advertising massages as 50-minute sessions at the current price or using longer appointment blocks to account for room turnover. Overall, I believe improving room hygiene and allowing adequate preparation time between appointments would greatly enhance the customer experience and better align with clients' expectations when booking a 60-minute massage. read more

Solid foot spa! Walked in for two and was able to get a 30 min foot massage immediately. Place was super clean and loved the open, spacious area where you get your foot massaged. Very comfortable place to lie down. The actual massage was just OK. So I wasn't expecting a lot of bells and whistles. The staff was courteous. The shared room was big with, maybe, 8-10 beds in it. I had Michael for the 30/30 (30min foot/30min back). he did a wonderful job, and I think he picked up that I carry all of my muscle tension in my shoulders and really focused his attention there. the back massage included a little bit of love on my limbs with most of the focus on my back. I had the pleasure of visiting this foot spa again, now that it has been renamed Cloud 9. I felt like it was even cleaner and nicer than I previously remembered. I think they upgraded their furniture as the chair/bed I was on was super comfy and felt very new. They did change their services a little bit since my last visit. They have an hour-long foot massage, but it goes more into reflexology, and they spend more time on your feet and legs. That service now costs $50. They have an option for an hour that is half foot/legs and the other half is back, and that was $60. I'd probably try that next time. Have been here a few times, but sadly never got around to posting a review. I recently got a 90-min Swedish Massage. The pricing is great and you actually get a legitimate 90-min massage. I had Alex as my masseuse. He asked about pressure multiple times throughout but not so much that it was awkward. A man of few words, which is preferred for me. I do not need the extra frills of a shower area or steam room. You can get in get an amazing massage and get out. Everyone at the Spa is extremely professional. Went here for a 40/40 Swedish body/foot massage with Coco and I enjoyed it! Booked on the website, arrived on time, the check in process was smooth and were taken to our massage beds quickly. Had used a gift card on one of the two services. Coco was super nice and friendly the whole time! The massage was soothing and I was pretty relaxed. She went over pressure points of my neck, back, arms, legs and feet. I felt some knots and she went over them a few times each. I didn't expect to be put in a huge room with a bunch of massage beds with other people already there. I guess I haven't experienced it before. It did get a little loud at times with the shuffling of chairs and the doors opening/closing to let people in and out. I was transferred to another private room with a face down massage and I liked how it was just us two in here. The only thing about this that kept me from relaxing fully was the toughness of the paper towel on my face. Since the name of the business recently got an update, I figured my review should too. Still a fan and a regular of what is now known as Cloud 9 Massage. This place is such a great balance of affordable, accessible, and high quality. While it may not have the same curb appeal as a fancier or more expensive massage establishment, its ambiance from the get-go is nevertheless completely calming, relaxing, and safe. The private massage rooms are still clean, darkened, and inviting. With Winnie having moved on, my favorite massage therapist by far is now Steven, who has such a joyful and down-to-earth demeanor paired with his amaaaaazing deep tissue massage skills. When choosing a female therapist, I try to book Coco, who also gives great, strong massages. It is still extremely easy to book online, the check-in process when you get there is very quick, and parking in the lot out front is never hard. As a wellness professional myself, I have recommended Cloud 9 to many of the people I work with when their bodies are breaking down from stress. Not bad. I think I am spoiled now after getting a foot massage in Korea. I got a 30 minute foot massage which is only $35 and they put you in a large room where many folks are getting worked on. My massage therapist was very nice and did a good job. I think I'm just used to being in pain and having someone destroy destroying my feet. They also give a super soft neck pillow which makes the whole experience pleasant and reduces neck and back pain that typically comes with lying on a massage bed. Coco was great! My reason for 4 starts versus 5 is the style of the massage. I booked a 60 min foot massage (something I've booked at other places before and love). Here they lay you down and start the reflexology massage at your head while your feet soak. I'm short so it was hard for my feet to soak while laying down. I ended up arching my back to get my feet in the water and it felt a bit counterproductive. I felt there was more time on my back, which was fine because I needed it, but it just didn't compare to the other foot massages I've received. One cool thing about this place is they allow kids. The youngest they said was 6 years old. They do massages for kids which I thought was neat for the athletes that need that. I've never seen that at a spa before. read more

The lady spent time just slathering my legs and foot with lotion - no massage. I removed the cover of my eyes and saw that the masseuse was falling asleep! Such a wonderful place! I booked two 1 hour foot massages via text and added on aromatherapy for my sister's birthday gift. They were kind enough to give us a birthday discount. We had Andy and Alex and they were so good. The communal massage area is super relaxing to be in and the chairs are so comfy. When I went to visit for my own appointments for massages, I found the front lobby to be very clean, and every receptionist I spoke with was very welcoming and professional. I highly recommend scheduling with Jack if you can! He's friendly, welcoming, and great with massaging out those knots. I do kendo and jiu jitsu as hobbies, and my two jobs have me sitting at a desk all day, so I tend to get sore behind my shoulder blades quite a bit. Booking online is a breeze! You can always call too. My favorite massage therapist is Michael and Jack. I highly recommend the 1 hr deep tissue massage with hot stones. The lady who gave me my massage didn't care about modesty and privacy and pulled the sheet way down lower than most would probably be comfortable with she was very rough and heavy with the pressure even though I'd mentioned it was hurting on my lower back and shoulders And then to my surprise at one point this women climbed on the table straddling me to massage my back This made me extremely uncomfortable she also massaged my legs and sat on the table holding my leg up in the air to massage my calves. This was the most uncomfortable unconventional massage I've ever had. Trying a new place always makes me nervous because you never fully know how it can go and I did not feel comfortable with the lady doing my massage. This place is a scam. The online booking system is completely useless. You choose a time, pay upfront, and they still make you wait 40 minutes with no warning. They check you in, take your money, then tell you to sit and wait. Why even offer appointments if you refuse to honor them? Worse, they threaten to cancel your appointment if you're more than 5-10 minutes late, but think it's fine to delay you 40 minutes without saying a word. That is not a buffer. After a disappointing experience I had 4 years ago at their Almaden location, I made a comeback to their new location off of Union Ave. Crazy gym workouts and neglect of self care has contributed to some body aches or pains and my friends have raved about this place, especially a masseuse named Jack. Massage area is a long hall of private rooms. You can fill out an erasable body chart for masseuse to notify him/her of depth of massage and body areas to focus or not focus on. Room was clean and comfortable, nice soothing music. Jack was very professional and respectful of my privacy. The massage was awesome! Perfect pressure and flow. Flow is so important! He nailed it. First time at Cloud 9 and I took the advice from other reviewers to try the 40/40... 40 min foot massage + 40 min body massage- swedish. The spa is very clean and modern. The area where they do the foot massage part is relaxing and the bed was relaxing with a heated cloth for my back while my feet soaked-- so nice. Moved on to the body massage part in private room. I chose the Swedish massage because my goal was relaxation. I do not like deep tissue massage, my body is sensitive and I don't want to feel pain during massages.. maybe I am a wimp, but it's just my preference. Before it was started, I asked for very light pressure. However, the massage started and I felt like it was a deep tissue massage.. lots of pressure, and uncomfortable. She asked me several times if I was okay, which I appreciated. I did reply multiple times that it was too much/too hard, if it could be more gentle, my shoulder area is tight and sensitive. However, I don't feel even after saying it a few times that the pressure was changed. I just got through it. I think she noticed I was still not comfortable. The hot stones were nice but also very hot at first, I was able to adapt to it pretty quick but it can be surprising and catch you off guard. The woman who did my massage was very nice, and I bet she is GREAT at deep tissue massages-- but we were not a match. Overall, the type of service and length of service- for the experience, it was affordable and not overpriced... and for this reason, I would be willing to go back and try maybe a different person who can adjust to doing a lighter massage for relaxation. My shoulders are very sore and hurt, which I know can be normal after a massage but I was hoping to relieve some tension and not cause more discomfort. I will give it another shot soon. read more
