I visited Garden Spa today for a 60- minute Swedish Firm massage. The spa appeared clean and well maintained. The scent in the space was pleasant, though a bit strong and slightly overwhelming at times. Massage room had a nice and simple vibe. At the start of the session, I felt the therapist spent a fair amount of time adjusting "warming up" positioning, tucking sheets, and moving items around, which made it take a while for the massage to really get going. Once it did, the techniques themselves were good, but the overall experience leaned more toward relaxation than firm pressure. As this was my first visit, I chose the Swedish firm massage. I understand Swedish massage is typically lighter, but I expected more pressure given the "firm" description -thinking I'd have the best of both in one massage. While the massage was enjoyable, it felt lighter than my preference and left me wanting more. It wasn't bad by any means, just not my style, as I prefer a deeper, more consistent pressure. Overall, I would consider the massage average, but I am open to trying other massage styles they offer and likely for longer too. I did decide to sign up for the membership, which seems like a decent value and didn't cost anything to join. I figured I would go back again every so often. I'm hopeful a different service will better match my preferences.

Tú gave me one of the best massages I've gotten in my life . It was so good I signed up for the monthly membership. I highly recommend recommend the Thai stretching with Deep Tissue combo .

This particular massage spa was recommended to me by a good friend who is very picky about places. So I knew this would be well worth it! I honestly haven't had a massage since before the pandemic so prices have drastically gone up, but the masseuse that did the massage was really well skilled! I also like the fact, there was a very relaxing and elegant, feel to the room. There was a air purifier in the room, along with some sort of essential oil, mister, and the massage table was heated!! You can always ask them to turn the heat up or down also! Mine was perfect! The lady that massaged me was very sweet and sensitive to certain parts I made mention at the front desk. She was very polite and thorough as she would pick up the sheet and tuck it in under my thigh as she massaged, but yet not revealing anything on my body. Very professional!! The lady that massaged me had a very unique name that started with the letter W, but I forgot her name. She was very sweet and and crack my body after the massage. I wouldn't mind getting a membership and going monthly now!! Specially, with all the cold weather we've been having!!

It was my first visit and I requested a female who can do a 90 min. deep tissue massage. There were same day appointments available. I scheduled my appointment for the following day. I was scheduled with Paula. She knew exactly how to help the pain in my back. She focused on releasing the pressure points at first and proceeded with a relaxing massage. The location was clean and Paula was very professional. The walls are thin because you can hear other people. The price was a little high, but Paula was amazing and is definitely worth it. I highly recommend her!

Cozy little nook at the end of the hallway with private massage rooms on either side.

We tend to tip ~20% after each service (occasionally higher when we get our favorite massage therapists) We went last night and the lady with the Zelle name "Li Zhao" was quite rude. Instead of asking if we want to tip, she asked if I had Zelle. I knew what she meant and said yes. I did a rough math estimate for 20% for both therapists and sent the money. She asked if it was supposed to split for two therapists. I said yes she then said something to her coworkers and acted like it was not enough until a coworker said something back. She then turned around looking upset but still said thank you. We left confused and felt like she was judging us for tipping 20%? In my opinion, tipping should always be OPTIONAL but I will always tip for services knowing it is optional. Also here's the math: the total was $254 and I tipped $50 which is ~20%. I did the math in my head so I knew I maybe short with some change. When I do the calculation on a calculator it should've been $50.80. I was short $0.80 but I didn't think that much would be bothersome??? Giving 4/5 for all the good experiences. However for the lady, 1/5 for greed.

I've never done the full rotation of hot tub to dry sauna to steam sauna to cold plunge - it was genuinely painful. If you've never experienced this, be prepared to get your heart racing. I was expecting a relaxing experience, but the saunas will leave you out of breath, and the cold plunge will shock your system. It's supposed to be really good for detoxing your system, and I definitely felt like I sweat out a bunch of toxins. We really enjoyed the massage chairs after this whole rotation and showering. The massage chairs are super comfortable and have a variety of massage options. It was so soothing that I fell asleep during my massage. There are a variety of popular scrub massage options that I did not try this time around. The downstairs co-ed dry saunas were a bit underwhelming. The saunas were comfortably warm and had blankets to rest on. These saunas didn't seem to be for the purposes of detoxing since they were at a moderate temperature. I was so comfortable that I ended up falling asleep in multiple rooms lol. Bay Spa was the perfect introduction to Korean spas, and I will definitely be returning!

Once we paid and given key to lockers and 3 towels (1 large & 2 small), we locked up our shoes (only) in the lockers to the right of the front desk. Then headed inside to grab a pair of slippers from the shelves to the left (don't grab the ones in the basket on floor which are for used slippers). Then head upstairs to the locker rooms to change and store your things to the same numbered locker. Also, grab a pair of shorts from the shelves in there. The room with massage chairs is nice if you can find a good chair. The first massage chair I tried was perfect for my needs because I have neck and shoulder issues recently but the massage chair I have at home doesn't even reach my neck and only somewhat knead my shoulders and massages whole body. This chair (where the display controller is mounted on right and has a "neck & shoulder" function) was able to focus only on the neck and even up the back of head and down to the shoulder and shoulder blades areas only (pull out the padding behind the head area if you don't feel much happening). Some of the chairs did seem worn down and torn up but many were in good shape as well. Downstairs is the 3 Jade, Clay, and Salt rooms including an Ice room. No slippers inside rooms so place slippers on the shoe racks outside. Be extra careful going inside the clay room. There are handrails to help you get in and out because the clay balls are actually a few inches deep and very slippery and it's kind of like you're stepping into quicksand. My friends did the body scrub while I did the massage. I don't know if all masseuses massage the same way there but I did not know that the massage included being stepped on. I am a very petite gal and Gina was a bit bigger than me. It wasn't just stepping with one foot but with both! I don't know how much of her entire weight was on me because there were two ropes hanging for her to hold onto but I felt like I was being tortured during the 10-15 minute that she was on me. I can understand if the client is much bigger and so you need your full weight to get enough pressure, but I am only just around 100 lbs, petite, and asked for medium pressure and was still stepped on. After that massage, certain spots around my back and pelvis (boney spots) seemed as if they were bruised cause they hurt with even just touch. She handed me an envelope afterwards for tips. I still tipped her but I don't think I would get a massage there again due to that experience. Maybe if you are a bigger build or get a different masseuse you might enjoy it. Overall, her massage was not all that useful, or even if it was, the stepping on undid it by giving me a traumatic experience. But there were a few times I thought what she was doing didn't seem like it did anything. If I hadn't gotten the massage, I would have given 5 stars because the facility and front desk staff I encountered were great (I asked front desk about adding massage and she was very friendly and helpful and immediately was able to book the massage for the earliest opening a few hours later), but I had to take a star off just for my experience with that masseuse. Would go back to the spa to unwind and relax, but I will most likely not get massage there again.

Unprofessional and Disrespectful Experience from Start to Finish…read more My friend purchased a Groupon deal for a therapeutic massage for my birthday, and I was really looking forward to it. I haven't had a massage since I gave birth, and given how stressful things have been, I was excited to finally relax. Unfortunately, the experience was frustrating from the very beginning. The woman at the front desk initially did not want to accept our vouchers. She called the manager, who then told us to cancel our Groupon vouchers and pay them directly instead. This was extremely inconvenient, especially since there is no guarantee that Groupon refunds go through right away and can take 3-5 business days to process. We declined, but they continued to push us to pay upfront even though we already had valid, prepaid vouchers ready to use. It wasn't until I said, "Are you saying we can't be seen today? Because we are not going to cancel our vouchers," that they finally agreed to take us back. During the massage, the two masseuses kept talking to each other and laughing. Instead of being in a calm, relaxing environment with peaceful music, it felt distracting and uncomfortable. The constant talking and laughter made me feel uneasy, and at times it even felt like we were being talked about. The situation got worse at checkout. We both left a tip, and when they asked how much we would be tipping, one of the masseuses said in her language to the other, "She's only tipping ____," and they both laughed. Then the other masseuse responded, "How about ____?" This felt extremely inappropriate and unprofessional. Tipping should be based on the customer's discretion, not something that is commented on or suggested in that way. Overall, this experience was far from relaxing and left me feeling uncomfortable and disrespected. I will NOT be returning.

They start with a close up review of your scalp, which is fun to see. Then they recommend a service and take you to change your top and put on slippers. From there you're escorted to your wash table. The wash is very thorough. My service with Linda was enjoyable and relaxing. Her touch is so gentle! Very soothing. After the wash, you move to a big fluffy chair and are reclined for drying and scalp massage. They have several tools to help massage the scalp. All this is followed by a short neck and shoulder massage... much needed after a long day! A few things that were less positive: my daughter enjoyed her treatment far less than I did. It really depends who you get I suppose. She said she had very little massage and just felt like getting her hair washed at the hair salon. I don't think she'd go again. Also, the pictures show a shower arch that streams water while your head is massaged, but that wasn't anything we saw or experienced. Disappointing for sure - it's something we were looking forward to experiencing. While they do dry your hair, it's not likely you'd want to go out in public after. The products that were supposed to be for a sensitive scalp left my hair dry and scalp extremely itchy, and brushing out my curly hair had it looking a frizzy mess. The shampoo smells very nice and fruity. I just didn't get a sense they were good quality products.
