I had an amazing experience here today. I had purchased a Groupon for a 90 minute hot stone massage. Making an appointment was very easy. When I arrived, I was warmly welcomed. They have water bottles and hot tea for you while you wait or for after your session. I checked in at the front and was immediately taken back to a massage room. The room is very nice and clean with relaxing music playing in the background as well as nature sounds of water. The lights are dim to your level of comfort. You can remove as much or as little clothing as you like. I laid down on the comfortable table and waited for my masseuse. You can choose a male or female masseuse when you make your appointment. Laura came in and described what she was going to do. She asked if I had any areas on my body that were bothering me. I let her know my low back is an ongoing issue. I really appreciated that she asked me that and how much pressure I would like for the massage. I have to say, this was one of the best massages I have ever had. She did a combo of deep tissue and Swedish massage all over my body and also focused more on my low back. The hot stones felt really good and the heat level was just right. It was so relaxing and therapeutic. I really liked my experience with Laura. She helped my back feel better which is a miracle. I will definitely be coming back here again for more services. Came for a couples massage and had the most relaxing experience. We were helped by Demi and Amanda. It's across the street from Oakridge mall. Parking is fine with three spots in front of the business and more areas to park on the sides. It did not seem like a busy area and parking does not seem to be an issue here. Amanda asked me if there were any areas she should focus on and also let me know I could let her know if I needed her to adjust the pressure. I've been getting massages in the San Jose area for years and Amanda is the first masseuse to ever ask me those questions. They also did a layer of heated towels between the sheet and the blanket that was magical and again, not something we've had done in other massage locations. The room was calming with low, warm lighting while we undressed. It was mostly shut off during our massage. The music was also playing low. Very easy to let yourself relax here. The lobby and overall space is well curated. I visited Garden Spa today for a 60- minute Swedish Firm massage. The spa appeared clean and well maintained. The scent in the space was pleasant, though a bit strong and slightly overwhelming at times. Massage room had a nice and simple vibe. At the start of the session, I felt the therapist spent a fair amount of time adjusting "warming up" positioning, tucking sheets, and moving items around, which made it take a while for the massage to really get going. Once it did, the techniques themselves were good, but the overall experience leaned more toward relaxation than firm pressure. As this was my first visit, I chose the Swedish firm massage. I understand Swedish massage is typically lighter, but I expected more pressure given the "firm" description -thinking I'd have the best of both in one massage. While the massage was enjoyable, it felt lighter than my preference and left me wanting more. It wasn't bad by any means, just not my style, as I prefer a deeper, more consistent pressure. Overall, I would consider the massage average, but I am open to trying other massage styles they offer and likely for longer too. I did decide to sign up for the membership, which seems like a decent value and didn't cost anything to join. I figured I would go back again every so often. We came here to get a nice evening spa experience. When we arrived, we were greeted by the receptionist. Since we came early, we had a little wait for us. While we were waiting, we overheard that they had a groupon deal and I wanted to give that a quick look. After that I realized I could save about $60 on my massage which was a great deal. I asked the receptionist if I could buy the groupon deal and apply it to my massage in which she agreed. Luckily, I was able to purchased and redeem the voucher in time. Finally, we were able to get into our massage. I told them I wanted a hard massage and focused on my lower back. The massage went well as I found out that it was my upper back that was more tense with the pain greater there. However, it wasn't something I didn't want to get again. Nice hidden spa right across oakridge mall. They were very welcoming, we did a couple 60mins Swedish massage. We got to pick our oils, I choose the sleep oil. The sheets and heated table were very relaxing. This was the first time having a male masseuse and boy, he went in. My neck and back have never felt looser after a massage. I Have been here a few times and love it! since I've had male /female therapist here. The females visit I don't leave relaxed. I've had 3 diff and they make a lot of noise ,don't communicate and I couldn't relax. i males communicate make you feel very comfortable and take there time. Today I had Steven. wow! The best massage I've EVER had helped with my problem areas. also included some breathing techniques to help relax me. I hope they give him more days. This particular massage spa was recommended to me by a good friend who is very picky about places. So I knew this would be well worth it! I honestly haven't had a massage since before the pandemic so prices have drastically gone up, but the masseuse that did the massage was really well skilled! I also like the fact, there was a very relaxing and elegant, feel to the room. There was a air purifier in the room, along with some sort of essential oil, mister, and the massage table was heated!! You can always ask them to turn the heat up or down also! Mine was perfect! The lady that massaged me was very sweet and sensitive to certain parts I made mention at the front desk. She was very polite and thorough as she would pick up the sheet and tuck it in under my thigh as she massaged, but yet not revealing anything on my body. Very professional!! The lady that massaged me had a very unique name that started with the letter W, but I forgot her name. She was very sweet and and crack my body after the massage. I was scheduled with Paula. She knew exactly how to help the pain in my back. She focused on releasing the pressure points at first and proceeded with a relaxing massage. The location was clean and Paula was very professional. The walls are thin because you can hear other people. The price was a little high, but Paula was amazing and is definitely worth it. HOST The friendly hostess verified our appointment and offered to make changes. We switched from Swedish to deep tissue and chose an essential oil scent from the display for the aromatherapy. MASSAGE The couples' room is spacious, well-organized, and clean. Although it is a single room, a short wall divides the two massage beds, providing privacy for each person. The beds are comfortable and heated for added comfort. I also appreciate the importance of the headrest, which features a soft, breathable covering. HIGHLIGHTS Both masseuses introduced themselves. My masseuse asked about the preferred pressure and focus areas for the massage. My masseuse addressed all the pressure points effectively. Both were professional, friendly, and attentive. He was very conscientious about making sure I was covered on the parts that he was not working on, to make sure I was warm. So I found a great deal on Groupon for a 90min Hot stone massage. I called and made the appointment for the next day. This was my first time at this spa and it's close to home so I wanted to check it out. Im a bit two minded with my opinion on the actual session though. The spa itself wasn't bad, clean which is always a plus and the front desk was welcoming. I had Sheila as my masseuse and right away she asked if I had any issues . I mentioned my right shoulder (frozen shoulder) and she paid extra attention to it. Honestly, a little too much because it did hurt and still does. I felt her trying to get a knot out but it was so painful. The stretching of my right arm too upwards was also very painful. Other than that the massage was fine. I feel like tension throughout my body was removed even though the area of my back and shoulder blades still really hurt, days later. The suggestion I'd like to add is to have the room a bit more calm and serene and for little more finesse during the session. I can't say I was "relaxed", every movement around the table was kinda noisy, even the way the sheet and blanket was moved (not very Zen) . Anyways, it was my first time, I may try it again and see what it's like with another masseuse. Overall ratings is that it's worth a try and value for money. read more

My girlfriend and I were looking to get a couples' massage while on a staycation and The Garden Spa constantly popped up with positive reviews. After we arrived, we waited for a short while in the waiting area and then were lead to our couples' room, which was spacious and clean. Shortly after, both of our masseuses entered the room and introduced themselves and asked if there were any areas we'd prefer extra attention and/or area we'd prefer not to be massaged. The hour long massage was great and seemed to go by in an instant. All in all, our experience here was perfect, from the ease of booking our appointment online, the great ambiance and tranquil music, the kind staff and the quality of massage we received was top notch. My girlfriend and I booked a couples deep tissue massage and unfortunately had very different experiences. On my side, the massage was great. My therapist, Elena, was strong, attentive, and clearly skilled at deep tissue work. The pressure was excellent and she did a great job working through the tight areas. I left feeling much better and really appreciated her work. My girlfriend, however, had a very different experience. She also booked a deep tissue massage and specifically asked at the beginning to focus on her back and legs, since that's where she carries most of her tension. She also made it clear that she can handle strong pressure, especially at the start of the massage. While the therapist initially used adequate pressure, she didn't actually work on any of the knots in my girlfriend's back, which is unusual because every other massage therapist she's seen typically notices and focuses on them right away. For most of the session, the therapist was primarily using just her fingertips/nails with VERY VERY little pressure -- it honestly felt like oil being rubbed on rather than an actual deep tissue massage. At one point my girlfriend asked for more pressure when the therapist moved to her right arm. The therapist then used her elbow and applied good pressure, which was what she had been expecting the whole time. But when she moved to the left arm, she went right back to using just her fingertips again and spent less than 30 seconds on it. Another issue was that the front of her legs were never worked on at all, even though she had specifically asked for focus on her legs. That entire area was essentially untouched during the session. When she politely brought this up to the front desk afterward, the response felt dismissive and there wasn't really any attempt to acknowledge the issue or offer any kind of resolution such as a discount or partial refund. That was probably the most disappointing part given we spent $290 on our 60 min massages (including tip). It's unfortunate because my massage with Elena was genuinely very good, but the overall experience was overshadowed by how inconsistent the service was and how the concern was handled afterward. read more

I thought I booked for two women to massage us but when we got there it was a male & a woman so that threw me off guard but it's okay. i had my first ever prenatal massage at 26 weeks at the garden spa & i wish i started to get prenatal massages here earlier because it was wonderful! the space gave a relaxing aura once i walked through the door, it was clean & the smell was pleasant (unlike other massage places where the scents are strong). the prenatal massage started with me laying on my left side then i switched sides mid session. the massage table was heated, there were lots of pillow for support & hot compresses. i had the female masseuse named natcha who had such powerful hands it felt great & released a lot of my pressure points. she was kind & kept quiet throughout the massage until i started to talk to her, so she tailors the massage experience to your liking. i feel great & would recommend this place to anyone who wants a nice relaxing prenatal massage! i will definitely return for another! read more
