We ate breakfast basically every morning at the hotel and we enjoyed everything from the pancakes, granola, oat, avocado toast, teas, and coffees. For lunch and dinner we ate at Mezzanine, casa Maria, and also went outside of the national park down by the hotel zone. There are also some activities that have a limit on participants, so you may need to reserve early such as midnight for paddleboarding, or get to them at least an hour early to have a spot. Unfortunately pools were shutdown by 7. There were multiple restaurant/food options. Drinks were everywhere! There was also drink service at the pools. Room service was included and mini fridge restocked everyday. Tipping was not expected here, but they did accept pesos / US dollars. Overall an amazing experience. One downside is that if you want to lie at the beach, you will need to get there early to get a chair. A majority of the time, we were at the quiet pool, where people would just be doing their own thing, such as reading a book, on their phone, or just taking a nap. They have three swimming pools and their own private entrance into the Mayan ruins. Entrance to the ruins is $14.00 USD per person a private tour to the ruins is an additional $50.00 USD total (which we did). The staff are all Mayans and were very friendly. A quick shout out to Christina in the gift shop, Danny who works at the pizza joint outside and Velario one of the bartenders. We had such a great time we're going back next year.

There are tons of street vendors on the beach a have cash ready because they have fresh coconuts and empanadas to sandwiches and other snacks. If you buy a coconut and drink the coconut water you can ask for the vendor to crack is open and take out the fresh coconut meat for free.

The selection of juices changes each morning as does the breakfast. It included enchiladas, huevos divorciados, pork sopes, and came with fresh fruit. The restaurant is in an outdoor covered patio next to the pool and the same selections are also offered at the beach club which is a 3 minute walk from the hotel. The cerviche and shrimp tacos were excellent. They also have huge pizzas if you have kids whose appetites are expensive. The restaurant is open until 10 pm and the beach club is open until sunset but they were super flexible on this. The beach club the hotel offers is the best in town. It offers full shade options and full sun options and hammocks and a full cocktail bar. For me, it was the location and music that made it stand out. It is on a calmer side of the island where you are closer to Punta Mosquito but not quite adjacent. (I swam there most days from the hotel and was a 20 minute swim). Also, the music at the beach club was spot on for the vibe. They play mixes of Calle 18, Bomba Estereo, Natalia Lafourcade, Manu Chao, etc. Other hotels play house music which is great for evening but could be a bit much blaring at 9 am. The owner and his family are very kind and involved with each guest. They have a cute dog named Colonel Mustard. What's not to love about that? The staff is also very kind. A lot of the hospitality workers on the island were Argentinian which I wasn't expecting but this is true throughout the Yucatán. Definitely recommend this hotel for persons who want a cozy, tranquil environment with excellent food.
