We had a broken window from the high winds the other week. After speaking with two other glass replacement companies who weren't amenable to either a) my location or b) payment in anything other than "cash, you know, american money", I came across Oregon Window Company. It was a very pleasant experience from start to finish: Polite and efficient - The people I spoke with on the phone were polite and efficient and I was able to schedule an estimate for a day and a half later. Timely - The salesperson arrived within 10 minutes of the quoted arrival time. Quick, Good Work - He checked out the broken pane, quoted me the replacement fee, and said he could do it right now out of his van if I had about 15-20 minutes. And sure enough, 15 minutes later, he had the pane replaced, and back up in the window. He even thoughtfully cleaned the broken glass out from the window sill. Convenient - I was able to pay by credit card over the phone. Great business. Highly recommended. read more

I saw the bad reviews and thought how bad can it be to have an established window company repair a damaged window screen? It's only $30. First they wanted cash upfront then said the repair wouldn't be completed for a few days. Fine. When my husband got a call saying the screen was repaired he was working late so I called to ask if I could pick it up instead and was told they would only release the screen if I had the receipt number. I said I'd go home and get the receipt. Then i was told "We close in 30 minutes. Our hours are Monday through Friday, 8am to 3pm" ... so basically business hours only for people who don't work traditional work hours. How they manage to stay in business is beyond me. read more

Save yourself some time/money/frustration and don't use these guys. They installed the wrong color glass, said they'd fix it, missed the appointment, then went dark. (if you'd like the full story, read on:)  I hired Oregon windows last fall to replace a cracked window and to replace a broken window handle. Oregon then installed a darker tinted window. I called and "Albert" told me I'd have to pay more to get matching glass. Albert said he'd call their suppliers, but after a few weeks of not hearing anything, I did a charge-back on the credit card.  I then got voice message from "Karen." I spoke with Karen who communicated Albert didn't know what he was talking about, that I should speak directly with her, and that she was able to order matching glass. I was told the glass was ready to be installed, so scheduled an appointment, took off work, then they didn't show up...  When I called, Albert said Karen was out and had instructed his guys not to come because they were unable to order the correct glass thickness for these types of windows. I tried calling Karen over the following week, but Albert would tell me she wasn't in and to try the following day. My messages have gone unanswered to date.  So... one of two things is happening here: 1) Oregon Windows is truly unable to order the correct glass for the building they claim to be in all the time; or, 2) They don't feel like fixing the mistake.  PS: Still holding my breath for the window handle replacement... read more

I needed to have my bathroom window replaced and put it off for the longest time. One day, I got fed up with putting a piece of wood under the window to keep it open. I called Oregon Windows because they installed a small window in my front bedroom. They did a good job. I was impressed because a woman from OW sent someone out to measure within a half hour. When the guy (Frank) was measuring, I asked him about the wood trim around the window. I was concerned that it would get damaged during the installation because I just had my bathroom painted. Frank reassured me that the window trim would be fine. I went ahead and paid (what I thought was pretty overpriced, but I really needed to have this window done.) I ordered the window. They just left after installing the window. Uhhhhh....they damaged the window trim on both sides. I cannot express how bad my anxiety is right now. I now have to get that repaired AFTER I PAID OW $700+ FOR A WINDOW. Keep in mind that I paid someone to paint my bathroom $450. I expressed my concern to Frank before he left. He told me that there was a screw behind the trim that was attached to the old window - that when he pulled out the old window, the screw lifted the trim. He slathered on a bunch of caulk behind the broken piece of wood then slapped it back onto the trim and it is raised. How the hell does that look good? When he was leaving, he told me that I could just caulk it after it dries. Uhhh. It's not even, dude. $700+ for what?? I potentially have to put out more money now to fix the trim. *Edit* I called OW and told the woman what happened. She said that she would have Frank call me. No call back yet. Surprise, surprise. BUT, they were REAL quick to schedule the install and take my credit card number though. read more

Do Not Recommend! Waited 2 weeks for appointment giving requested deposit. They didn't show, nor did they call. Called and was told I would get a call back in 10 minutes to let me know when they would be there. Again No call. 2 hours later spoke with a man who had no customer service manners. I didn't think anyone could replace the broken ones in an historically accurate fashion but not only did they, and reasonably, they actually were able to source the antiquated locking hardware for the frames. I had an unfortunate experience on 9/11/14- someone threw a piece of cement through my window (in the wee hours of the morning... I suspect it was a drunk idiot walking home from a bar), breaking the screen and glass completely. It was an EMERGENCY repair situation. I searched yelp for "emergency window repair" and came across this listing. With the favorable reviews, I thought I'd call. I called this establishment on 09/11/14 at around 8am. A pleasant woman named Karen returned my phone call about an hour later at approximately 9am, instructing me to obtain measurements over the phone so she could quote me a price and have someone come out. I did so, and she stated that she would send someone out. I waited, and waited, and waited. At 2pm, I called again and there was no answer. At 3:30pm, I called again and a gruff man answered the phone. I explained that I was waiting on an emergency window repair per the conversation I had with the woman I spoke with prior... he screamed that there was only one person working in the office and that they couldn't get to it. What is the deal with these "emergency window repair" businesses? They never again followed up, and I have since repaired my window with a different company. We had Tony here to repair three windows.He showed up on time ,on the scheduled date, was pleasant and professional.The work was done satisfactory. We had some reservations after reading the reviews However, we are pleased with the repairs and will use them again when necessary.Karen in the office was very helpful as well. thee worst service experience i have ever had. about 3 weeks ago ( around march 22) the window in my autistic sons room got broken. fortunately he was going away for a few weeks and we figured it would be done before he got back home. called this company and arranged for them to come out and repair it. they set a date to come out and fix it for us. about 20 minutes before the scheduled arrival, i get a call and they tell me they are having a problem with their truck. i asked when they would be able to come and was told they didn't know but would call and let me know. a week went by and i called again to inquire and was told someone would call me later that day. again, no communication at all. the following morning i went to their office as was told by the woman that they would be out the following day. # a sure enough a man by the name of fabian came out looked at the window, measured it (i also sent pictures of everything) and said he would get with the office and they would get back to me because they may have to talk to anthony. another week down and i call again and get a woman who works in the finance department who said she would pass it on to those responsible and have them call me in the morning when they get in. still nothing. i called again on monday 4/12/2021 and got albert on the phone who also told me he would get it to those responsible and have them call me the next day. I wouldn't recommend anyone to use their service. Rude, unprofessional, and very unorganized. They never responded to my inquiry. Someone else got them to come out for me. My landlord who knows them. The work doesn't look great. Double pane glass replacement for $240.00. Then harassment over a payment I already made. I'm the customer, I should not have to send you proof of payment. But I did, and I was still harassed. 3 calls from 3 different people about the same payment. Don't put yourself through the headache. After I emailed them proof of payment, they still harassed me. I paid for the service June 24, received glass replacement service on June 27, and received my first phone call them them asking me about a payment I already made. They kept saying, I don't see any payments for you in our books. This is the most unorganized business I've ever done business with. Even after emailing proof of payment to them on the 29th. I received 2 more additional calls the next day. Trust me, it's not worth it. Every interaction I had with them felt like I was bothering them. I didn't demand anything or rush them to do the job. Needed to have screen slider doors replaced (a custom job because measurements were not standard). Tony came out, measured the existing doors, PLUS suggested the old rollers on another pair of screen sliders be replaced after inspection. After OG waited almost 6+ weeks for the frames to come in (that's OK, it was a custom job), they fabricated the screens and scheduled the installation. Everything went smoothly as planned; very efficient and professional. Would definitely use them again. read more

I was referred by my friend who is a GC. He told me to deal with the junior owner, but the senior owner took over. He was an unpleasant man. One of the female receptionists was equally unpleasant. I kept thinking they must be married. They charged me $675 for one standard sized window. The installers were nice. After they left, I discovered that the screen had a two inch gap in it, so that at the seam between the screen and the metal frame, the screen was not attached. In other words, a bug the size of a sparrow could crawl into my house. I called three times with my complaint which they brushed off. I requested the junior owner, but the senior owner kept responding.. I still have the window with the unattached screen and have abandoned hope of getting it repaired or replaced. We walked into Oregon Window Co and placed an order for a mirror. No frills, just a piece of mirror cut to a specific size. We were told it would be ready the following week. We had contractors booked soon after to install it, along with the rest of our bathroom renovation. The following week, we had yet to hear back from them about our mirror. We called and were told it would be ready "by the end of the week." This went on for a month -- calling asking if our mirror was ready, and being told "by the end of the week." We finally got a call from them 2 weeks before our contractor was booked to finish up the bathroom. The mirror was ready! Our contractor could go pick it up when he's ready to do the installation. Low and behold, I get a call from our contractor who is standing in the shop saying they've told him they have no record of our order, let alone the mirror. They finally found the placed order, and made up a story saying the problem was that we hadn't picked out mounting hardware (this should not have effected them cutting a mirror, one would think) -- this was the first we were ever hearing about mounting hardware. The contractor was sent home with a giant catalog for us to choose from, and we were told the mirror would be ready in a day or two. Thank god it was true this time and we didn't have to wait any longer. But needless to say, originally a week long wait turned into more than a month plus this silly diversion about the hardware, we will never order from here again. I wish I could give a zero for their rating! They need someone who is able to answer the phone and handle customer service related issues with tact and respect for the customer. I was charged a fee for a service that was never provided. When I called to cancel for the consultation, they told me I was shooting myself in the foot. When I let them know that it was a Covid related issue as to why I needed to cancel they said they would send a man out with a mask in a space suit. I was not given the opportunity to reschedule. Instead, the man on the phone yelled over me as I was trying to explain what was going on. The man then decided to tell me that the fee was nonrefundable. Not happy with the service overall. Our home was broken into and our window was shattered. We called Oregon Window to come fix it. Started out as a good experience- someone came out, gave us an estimate and it turned out the glass couldn't be cut on the spot. We paid a down payment and scheduled the appointment 2 days later for the new glass to be installed. They called the morning of the appointment and cancelled. We were annoyed but understanding. They rescheduled to come 2 days later which was frustrating being that we were living with a garbage bag over our window and I clearly expressed the stress this was causing. I called an hour before the 2nd appointment just to confirm and they tried canceling on me again and rescheduling for the next week. Only after asking for my money back did they make sure someone came that day as planned We found it very disrespectful, they were not accommodating to our sense of urgency. AWFUL experience. 12 months later, $600 deposit by my landlord, no work done at all. If I could give 0 stars I would. I had the same run-around that other reviews are mentioning. Multiple no-show appointments, phone calls not returned, nobody knowing who I was, what the account was, etc. The cherry on top was speaking with Albert to voice my concerns who kept cutting me off, called me "sweetheart" and "honey" instead of addressing me professionally and then patronizing me by complimenting me on my spelling abilities when he asked for my landlord's name. We had our jalouise window broken by kids throwing rocks. A neighbor recommend Oregon Window and I am glad he did. From start to finish they were professional and responsive. The initial appointment was handled by Karen. She provided the name of the technician, Fabian, who would be handling my project. Fabian let me know he when he was on his way, did his job and I had a quote within an hour. Again, Karen set up the appointment for the next day. Fabian replaced the broken glass and I am extremely satisfied. I look forward to working with this local, family owned small business again in the near future for window replacements. read more

They told me the next day at 9:00 am. The very next day no one came and no phone calls. I had to called them to asked what happened. They said they forgot, and they told me they'll come the next day at 9 am. They next day came and still no one came. I called them once more and they said their repairman was in the hospital. I called Oregon Ave windows around May 2014 to repair four small windows and one large window that were not shutting all the way. Initially service was solid. They came out for their scheduled appointment to repair the four smaller windows. Apparently certain internal parts only needed to be cleaned, so this was an easy fix. Unfortunately everything was downhill from here. During their first repair trip they took parts from the large window, leaving it unusable. I was told they would be back the following Saturday to finalize the repair. They did not show up and they did not call me to cancel. I was not contacted again for 3-4 months and my calls were not returned. Finally they called me back and we scheduled an appointment for Saturday at 9:00 am. AGAIN no one showed up and no one called to cancel. The following week we rescheduled another appointment. The final appointment ran smoothly. On a $500 total bill I asked what kind of discount I would receive for all of the service issues. They gave me 5% off. Apparently months without a functional window, months without a response from them, and two no-show appointments is valued at $25. I certainly hope the quality of the repair is better than their service. Time will tell. In the meantime I would not recommend this business to anyone. read more

Oregon Windows is awesome. I had an emergency situation where the one window closest to the lock on the door was broken. I needed someone fast and called Oregon. Karen told me Fabian would arrive around noon and he actually came 40 min early! He measured and gave me an estimate which wasn't too bad for a small piece. He got started right away and finished within 10-15 min and my nightmare was over! I paid with my card over the phone with Karen after he finished fixing it. I used to be employed by Oregon window first of all the good reviews on here were posted by there owner and his son. They have caller Id (like everyone) and if u have an emergency apt they quote u get the payment if possible by cc then when you call to check on ur order they purposely do not answer especially if there are more expensive orders they can take they will just put u on the back burner and tell u they already started working on ur order so there are no refunds. The only person in the entire place with any real skill is Dave but he isn't the one u will even have the work done by anyway. The second u walk out of the place or hang up from them they critisize you very valgarly and very harshly no matter how polite you were.. Also if you happen to tip any of the employees the owner will take it and if you protest you will get fired for ( stealing) this happened to 2 employees while I was there... (One 17 yr old kid another 33 yr old man with a small child and one on the way) there are.tons of window repair companys if u wanna be treated like crap be talked about and ripped off go to Oregon window. My front window fell out completely late on Friday & Saturday I started making calls to get it fixed. I called Oregon twice , in the mid-morning & early afternoon. What did they tell me? Don't waste your time. I made an appointment with them to come to my home to give me pricing for four windows. Appointment #1 - no one showed up. I called and Karen said the owner was sick. Silly me...I rescheduled. Appointment #2 no one showed up. I called and Karen said the owner was sick....again. Yep, she asked me if I wanted to reschedule and I hung up. Two times no one called or even seemed to care. Karen called me back a few weeks later to reschedule. I decided to reschedule just to get a quote with no intention to use them. Appointment #3 - yep, you guessed it... Karen sent me a text from her personal phone at 2:00pm (the time of the appointment) stating the owners wife was in surgery and he can't make it. Unprofessional & incompetent. Karen never even called. Three times...I wonder if Tony Nardy & Anthony Nardy even know whats going on in that office.
