However, the person that gave us the estimate looked up the unit and found that we were eligible for a $650 rebate from KCP&L. Yay! And it wasn't one of those tax refund or mail in kind of rebates. They took it off the cost of the unit, so we ended up paying substantially less. Also, this nice man told us several things about our duct work and the unit itself that no one else made us aware of. Also, they said they didn't want to drill through the house and that we would need to contact a coring company for that part - which was fine -but then we had to try to coordinate Arrow Circle meeting at the house with the coring co. instead of them just handling that end and contacting the coring co. directly. Plus they didn't follow through with the city permit inspectors. They pulled the permit and at the end of the job we asked when the final inspection would be with the city, we were told that on such a small building it didn't need to have a final inspection. That didn't sound right so I called the city and inquired. They said any time you pull a permit you have to have a final inspection to close out the job. So pretty unprofessional in several aspects. We will not be recommending them for these reasons.

I, as the customer, had no idea of even an estimate of the amount that I would be liable for at the end of service. 2) Outlets were left open and unsafe while he went to Home Depot to get new outlets and a switch. He was gone for over 1 hour on the clock for this errand 3) He was taking other calls and helping other technicians and doing other work while was on the clock for the work in my unit. He spent 15 minutes typing up the service order while still on the clock. Also, he was chatty, but the clock was running with such high rates, I would think there would be minimal engagement in communication. 4) He charged more than 3x the cost of the items that were installed in my unit. 5) I am a professional in the industry and regularly review pricing for professional electricians on major commercial construction. I understand what a reasonable rate is and Tann Electric refused to compromise on the bill or take any sort of responsibility.
