The actual acupuncturist was nice but I didn't feel like she had my best interest at heart. She had to put some needles in my hip and my bum was completely exposed but wanted her male intern to come in and massage me as I lay there to relax. I was NOT ok with that arrangement. Why would I feel comfortable with a man massaging me when I'm barely covered?! Then, she was trying to get me to leave thru the back door and go into a shady back alley way to get to my car because they were having a class in the front room. I had to tell her "no" more than I should need to. It was dark out and I would never send a pregnant woman into a dangerous back alley way so we don't disturb the Tai Chi class happening in the front room. Then, while I was laying there with needles in my body trying to relax, I was listening to their upstairs tenant banging around on the ceiling. She went up to ask them to be quiet which didn't help and it was incredibly irritating and startling. She said that wasn't normal, but I don't think I need to find out. read more

Lilly was nice enough when I was there a month ago, but she was way too harsh on my body for my acupressure. I was also bombarded with additional service that she thought I needed and that I would have to pay for; acupuncture, and suction cups. She insisted it would help me. I've talked to a few people that went to her before and they told me she doesn't even want to receive suction cup on herself. There are better places to go with a better holistic healer. I love this place. The yoga classes are amazing. The teacher is so patient and I always leave feeling stronger and so grounded. It has really helped me feel more mindful and relaxed in class and in my every day life. I have much better posture and strength. I also tried the facials and face lift acupuncture, which I never had before but I have to tell you I had an immediate difference in my skin. I really looked great. Massage therapists switched halfway through my massage. The first masseuse was excellent. She was firm, but without hurting me. I was instantly relaxed and felt her working out some knots in my back. Then suddenly they switched without warning me and the second masseuse was rough and hurt me from the instant she touched me. I was tensed up again. I told her over and over that I was in pain but she didn't let up. After, I found out from my husband that he had the rough masseuse first and the better masseuse second. We were both using heating pads by the end of the day to relieve the pain. I've never had such a bad experience from a massage before. read more

The woman here was not very attentive. It seemed like she did not want to be there. She (I believe her name was lily) was very rough, so rough that I think I pulled a tendon in there on my inner thigh. Now I can not take me daily jogs because it is quite painful. I will never go back in there. I guess your mileage may vary. My personal recommendation? Go to a place where they have the license to actually do massages, so that you do not get injured like me. read more

I went here a few months ago and figured I will write a review since I am into writing reviews today. My girlfriend and I went here to get the oriental massage from groupon. I went there expecting a full 1 hour massage, like it said on the voucher, but instead I was pressured into getting acupuncture to help with my "bad" back. The acupuncture was fine, even though I was not enthused about it, but the masseuse, I think her name was Lilly, was very rough and when I told her I'm in pain and would like to stop she said that I needed it, and that I am only in pain because I have problems. That makes no sense. From my knowledge, you can be in pain if someone is putting too much pressure or pulling too hard regardless if you have problems or not. On the other hand, my girlfriend told me she got a nice relaxing massage from a young woman that worked there, with hot rocks. She said she fell asleep because it was so relaxing. Then she went back there to get the same 1 hour treatment but the young woman she wanted to see, no longer worked there. Instead the same woman I had, massaged her into pain and she also left the room for a long period of time. So instead of a 1 hour massage that my girlfriend was expecting, she got a half an hour massage with half an hour of nothing. This was a waste of our time. The only reason I gave it 2 stars is for my girlfriend who experienced that nice massage that 1 time. read more
