To be completely honest, I don't like going to the dry cleaners by any means. I always thought dry cleaners were overpriced. Also, inventions like Dryel and Woolite Dry Cleaner's Secret have made it possible for me to skip the dry cleaners. However, there are just certain things that require dry cleaning. I took four skirts over one Saturday afternoon. The employee working that day was very helpful and professional. She took my items and told me they'd be ready after 5 the following Monday. I picked them up the following Saturday and again, the employee who helped me was very helpful and professional. The skirts cost $9.95 each to dry clean. I was given a 20 percent discount (maybe for my first time?) so that dropped the total to $33 and some change. However, I have no qualms paying a little more for good quality work. The only downside would be their evening hours. I take the Metra to work and definitely would not be able to make it up before they close at 6:30. Thankfully, I was able to pick my items up the following week without issue. Conveniently enough, I received a coupon in the mail for $10 free dry cleaning with $29 minimum so I'm sure I'll be back again for my dry cleaning needs. read more

Service just as expected. Email notification for pick up is helpful. Staff was friendly. As a new customer I was offered 25% off the total cost to have my clothes dry cleaned, but they're running that same promotion for all customers anyway at the moment. I suggest adjusting the hook for new customers as needed to help with buy-in. Everyone loves a special introductory offer unlike the other promotions. read more

SUPER EXPENSIVE, mediocre work, and did I mention SUPER EXPENSIVE !!! I live in the area and have gone to the Libertyville location on and off for years. Recently my regular cleaner went out of business, so I tried these guys again. Took in a couple of dress shirts and a Polo shirt as a test. Shirts came back boxed, dry cleaned (ordered laundered on hangers) and wrinkled. The Polo shirt was $9 DOLLARS to dry clean !!! When I asked why they charged so much for the Polo, I was met with blank stares, and finally clerk said "I only work here". No one ever seems to know what something will cost when you drop it off ( I asked), but they sure seem to know what to charge when you pick it up. This is why I quit going to them originally, disappointing to find out nothing has changed. Never again read more

They did a great job, but it is not worth how expensive it is. The pricing is insane. I got my winter bedding cleaned, and the initial quote I received was $45. I was also told I could use a 25% coupon, so the price would be $33-$34. Even with the discount, it was more than I wanted to spend but agreed to do it since it was so convenient. Today I was charged $46 when I picked it up. They broke out the pillowcases and comforter as two separate items, and then gave me the 25% discount. I just wished I would've gotten the correct quote to begin with because I would have gone elsewhere. For $46, I could almost buy a new comforter at Bed Bath & Beyond! I've been going to Zengeler's for years..... great service and they always do a top notch job cleaning! They cost a little more than other dry cleaners, but I've never had a problem (I have had issues elsewhere). When it comes to my suits, I spent a lot of money to buy them - it's worth a little more to have them cleaned well. read more

I love this place and the awesome service. I have been using their Libertyville location for about 4 years. My garments are always ready when promised. Some of my shirts have Collar stay inserts to keep a crisp look. They always remove them if I forget before the cleaning service and put them in a separate plastic bag when I return. They have returned money left in my sport coat pocket in a separate private packet. They return a set of cuff-lings left in a shirt sleeves. I guess if you are like me and sometimes in a hurry, don't worry they have your back. Thumbs up! Always the same smiling staff. BEWARE: Horrible place, broke a designer coat, refused to give me their insurance carrier to file a claim & offered 1/6 of the cost. Took over 3 months to even get that done. only take your the clothes you are ok with beign ruined there. read more

I dropped off off my pants to be dry cleaned, when I picked them up they were 5inches shorter!!?!Whether they hemmed them up 5in or washed and dried them on high heat, I'll never know. When I confronted them about it, they would not pay for the damage they caused. They wouldn't even refund my money for the service that was not provided. Unbelievable! read more

I'm pretty impressed by this place. The turnaround is SUPER fast because they actually do the cleaning in house. I love that they don't send your stuff out to another place. Also they have an express drop off if you want to leave items while they are closed. They open quite early during the week (6:30AM). Sure, they are a little more expensive than other places but they do give 25% discounts if you sign up for the email. I am more than happy to pay for the convenience and quality cleaning. read more

My family has been using Zengler Cleaners since the 1980's. They have consistently delivered a professionally cleaned product time and time again. They will even do a small adjustment when they notice a button or other item out of place. In the very rare occasion something is damaged by their machines staff or due to a fragile article, they always are very forthcoming and make it right for the customer. The only thing possibly better than the quality of their work is their staff. We have become friendly with a number of the staff over the years and even say hello when outside the setting of Zenglers. It is no wonder they are a staple in the north suburbs and have been in business generation after generation. I now live in Chicago and still bring my clothes to them at the facility near my work as they are the company I trust for my dry cleaning and laundered shirts. read more

Cleaning job was just fine. But don't let them do your repairs or alterations! I had to return FOUR times for some silly buttons. They still aren't right. Going elsewhere! They need competent seamstresses badly!!! read more

Always reliable service and the company owns up their mistakes. A shirt of mine was damaged once and they gave me the retail value of the shirt without question.
