THE Tide Cleaners on Half Day Road in Buffalo Grove, IL. is managed by Mercedes, a very Aggressive, Dishonest, Unhealthy, Pathetic person who lied to me about a mistake that cost me $600. I brought in a very expensive linen summer jacket for her to dry clean to remove a few spots after just wearing it for a couple weeks. When I picked it up and brought it home, it was shrunk by at least 2-3 sizes. Although I paid for it to be dry-cleaned, it was obviously laundered. When I brought it in to show her, she was extremely aggressive to me, refused to listen to my concerns and kicked me out of her store. This to me is not a very proper way to run a business. I asked her to please send it into the corporate offices to see what she could do to offset the $600 I spent to replace the jacket, and she simply refused to do that, and took no responsibility for the mistake made by one of her employees. My MESSAGE to anyone who takes their clothes to be dry cleaned is: STAY AWAY, unless you are willing the risk of their workers to cheat you out of your money by taking the price to dry clean, but instead launder at a cheaper rate, and in the process ruining your good clothes. THE PLACE WILL RIP YOU OFF, just as other complaints before my review said. STAY AWAY! I havent needed to use a dry-cleaner in a while.... but after doing some camping this summer needed to have my sleeping bag cleaned. I knew there was this new cleaners up the road and decided to give them a try. I was enticed by the fact you can drive-through, and that they would most likely have nice brand-new, big machines. Pulled up and some young kid came out to help me. Dropping off was super quick and easy, and i signed up with an account to get future coupons and what-not. When i came to pick-up, i just opened the trunk and the threw the stuff right in for me. Seems like a great cleaners. I'm satisfied so far!! Tide Cleanera in Buffalo Grove is run by a rude, obnoxious person. after taking an open fronted jacket in (no closures) I found a label ironed in the front where it was visible as I wore it. they did remove the la el but left a gray mark where the label had been. she said sorry, but that's how they do things. Let me begin by stating that this review is specific to Buffalo grove, IL tide dry cleaners. We used several tide dry cleaner franchises as both my wife and I needed a convenient way for dropping and picking up dry cleaning on a weekly basis. However, we had the unfortunate and unpleasant experience with Buffalo Grove franchise where a particular employee (named Mercedes) was extremely rude to us, did not return our clothes (which were due for pick up), asked us to go search and find our clothes in the store, and eventually asked us to leave the store without giving back all our clothes. The store employee has threatened my wife and me verbally, was extremely aggressive and abusive. Further, she abused her access to our phone records in the system and called us later to tell us we need to comeback and pick up our clothes immediately (i.e., during non business hours). Need less to say, we are terrified with this experience and the employee behavior. I hope no one else has to go through this again. I suspect it could be because of our race (we are Indians). If you are a person of color, please be careful with Buffalo Grove store and their employees. We are looking into possibly following up in legal action against the store and it's owner holding them responsible. If anyone had a similar experience, please reach out to us. read more

Hi Everyone. I really like this servicer and the location. It is convenient, drive thru, after hour pick up and drop off. Auto pay. The clothes is always clean and crisp. I can trust them with any garment. But what compelled me to write this review is what I found in the fresh load I have picked up. I found the small bag in a garment bag all by itself. My first thought was that something has slipped off the the hanger, then I realized what it was. I'm attaching the picture for all to see. I will recommend Tide Dry-cleaners to everyone. The person named Mercedez told me to get out of the store when I started recording her extremely rude behavior with me, when she was telling me to get out and grab my own clothes. She showed that because I requested her to wait for me additional 5 minutes because I was getting there by close of business. Please watch your store footage. I've been highly disappointed with the plethora of one price dry cleaners that have dominated the landscape lately. Shirts get dropped off and come back with the same stains as when they were dropped off, with little arrows pointing to the stains, saying they can't get them out without ruining the fabric. I am so incredibly disappointed with this dry cleaner. I've been coming here for over seven years and have not once complained about anything. I had a shirt lost that was magically found year later (put in with an order) I never complained. A few months ago I had a white suit jacket returned to me that came back gray and I never complained. But this last time my favorite white suit jacket came back gray and I took it back along with the last one and the manager was not only rude, but insinuated that the jackets were either that color or I ruined them myself and brought them in. Not once did they offer to re-clean it and not once did they apologize. years of coming here, thousands of dollars spent here and nothing. customer service is clearly not a priority for them. The cleaning products are green and the staff is so nice and well informed. I also am getting 50% off this order since it's my first time there. When we spoke yesterday, your representative was comparing prices to Zengeler who has been in the industry since 1857. They are located in Long Grove and other locations and do have a good reputation, but expensive. Are far as buffalo grove this is by far the most expensive cleaners I have found. Hands down. Just my thoughts. Very friendly staff, but hard to swallow the prices. Update. After getting the cloths out of the bag and wearing them there is no noticeable difference than my normal dry cleaner. First off let me say that I have used several dry cleaners in and around the area. I was previously driving to CD1Price which did a good job for a good price. My feeling personally is its too far compared to where I live and Tide in my opinion blows them away and is just around the corner. So super easy to get to. Here are some of my thoughts. Pros: They are super friendly and bend over backwards to make sure you are happy. They are lighting quick with their service You always know when your cleaning is ready with a email and can pick it up after hours with a automatic machine. Who does that!!?? Awesome!!! My son had his shirts laundered & I had dry cleaning that was done above & beyond. I'm not one to go all nutso on praise, but this place is very impressive, great customer service, the clothes smell fresh, not chemically. Great service perks such as our own drop off bag that is labeled & barcoded for just us. They keep a record of how we will prefer our laundry done. I decided to try this dry cleaner after my favorite dry cleaner closed permanently. I had planned to have several pieces of clothing cleaned until I saw the prices. I opted to have one cleaned to test the service. The counter girl advised me that I would receive an email when my order was ready. She did not say "it will be ready after 5 on such and such day." I dropped of a brand new, right out of the package king duvet cover and 2 king shams. They came back quite damaged. No one from the store called me to inform me of the situation. I use the pick up and delivery service so was quite surprised to find my 3 items damaged upon delivery. Went to the store and first spoke to the woman at the counter who was very nice. Upon seeing the damage, she went to speak to the manager who told her the damage was due to a manufacturers defect; he didn't even look at the items. I could easily see him from the front counter but he didn't find it important enough to come out to speak to me. I was more upset that he could have cared less to actually take a few minutes to speak with me. I flagged him down so he had to come to the counter. At that point, I was so angry and told him to close my account. I took my damaged new bedding back to Bloomingdale's and they happily gave me new pieces. I returned home and washed and dried the duvet and shams which came out perfectly. The ticket they gave me clearly had 16 listed as the number of items. The girl counted it out with me. They are now disputing my original ticket and saying I only dropped off 9 items. They really seemed to be trying hard and the young owner was very friendly. I have to say, they have the best dry cleaning feature I have ever seen. It's a 24 hour ATM for clothes. You drop your clothes off anytime and pick them up Any time, day or night! I can't wait till there's something like this near me.
