A very popular park for picnics, biking and walking…read more I've been going to this park ever since I was a child. The playgrounds were great when I was a kid and they still are today. Always great to see birdlife here: geese, coots, ducks, grebes, herons and an occasional hawk. Very popular with dog walkers on a leash (the dogs, not the people ). Recommendation: The park officials would be praised if they organized a separate trail track for humans and bicyclists. It would make both walkers and bicyclists so very happy. This park's popularity makes it crowded at times. Especially weekends.

There is a lot of fishing space, some on muddy terrain, and some over rocks and grass. People were paragliding and hang gliding on the beautiful lush green hills next in the back. If the only thing you can do is walk, then it's a great one filled with much wildlife like cute hawks and birds; not too short not too long with plenty of shade if you stick near the lake with dispersed picnic tables, and that wonderful view. Cell phone service here sucks. They have barbecue pits and fish cleaning stations. Definitely a hidden bay area gem.

They have classes for rowing, they have E-Row, the have classes for younger kids for rowing. This is a Rowing Club. Now. The club also has Surfskis. If you want to paddle Surfskis. Their surfskis are super nice. They have V5, V8s, V10s. You can start all the way from beginner and make your way to the olympics on V10s. The boats are in brand new condition. The paddles are grat. The club also has two functional outriggers but no paddles. But at least they let you paddle them, unlike all the annoying outrigger Hawaiian clubs who won't let you touch their single Outriggers for fear you might break something. I was mainly an outrigger guy, so I loved this place. The people in the club were great. Mainly Chris Flynn, Operations Director. He let me fix the outriggers and paddle them. When there was an issue with a former club taking away my paddle he made them give it back. Anything you ask and he is happy to give it a try, you need parts, classes. So, if you have some spare change and want to go paddle BIAC is the place. You can paddle backwards You can surfski for exercise when the wind picks up if you are bored, you can even outrigger and pretend you are Kamaaina."Local", want some community join the E-Rows and have a blast or just roll in and do your thing on your time, no one is judging. We decided to choose full-day South Fork class II-III rapids which worked out perfectly for the athletic people as well as the beginners in our group. Our guide was Marcus and he was the BEST guide! He was super patient with us and gave us lots of encouragement and praise. Marcus also was training a new guide Joe who practiced guiding on some of the rapids and he also did a commendable job. We saw a lot of other companies on the river and All-Outdoors was definitely the most well organized and professional. Highly recommend! Now we want to come back and do Class IV!

We also watched humpback whales put on a show and lunge feed off to the side of the boat! Naturalist Luke shared fascinating stories about these amazing creatures.
