    Chicken Souvlaki Dinner
    Maria D.

We had come here on a Sunday morning at around 11:30 am for lunch; we were surprised to see how large the restaurant was, and how many food options were available to order. Once we had placed our orders at the front, we sat down with our receipts, and waited for our numbers to be called. This restaurant was right across the street from the airport therefore, we were able to see airplanes taking-off and landing, which was a nice view. Once our numbers were called, we were shocked to see how large the meals were. I had settled on the chicken souvlaki on a pita, and my mother had chosen the chicken souvlaki dinner, with the intention of taking the leftovers home for her supper. The chicken pieces were very large, with many pieces in both the pita and on the plate. The chicken was tender, tasting fresh. All of the sides were also a good combination, with a lot of tzatziki sauce. Overall, this restaurant was definitely over the top; excellent food (especially for the price), great atmosphere (watching the planes go by), and wonderful customer service (took all of the dishes away from the tables after dining). Would definitely come back to this restaurant in the future; it filled me up for hours afterwards!

We ordered takeout from Zet's on a weekday and the service was quick and friendly. The portion size of the pork souvlaki dinner is large enough for two people and was very flavorful. I enjoyed both the tzatziki and the salad dressing. The pork was tender and well marinated. I would definitely return. The restaurant was clean and had a nice coffee bar area that I would try next time.

My wife and I were unable to finish eating it. That's how fulfilling it was. She's smiling and happy after this meal. It was quite good.

I heard a lot of good things about this place, I tried the halibut fish sandwich and the chicken souvlaki dinner, the halibut fish sandwich was really tasty massive portion, price is a bit steep but their portion size is massive, the fish was really crispy they charge a 1 dollar extra for cheese, the tartar sauce is really tasty and the fish was crispy and soft on the inside. The chicken souvlaki was tender, the potatoes were tasty, I really like the fish sandwich, easily two people can eat the sandwich, I can see why this place has been 50 years in business. The service was really quick and efficient, and the restaurant is quite spacious, right when I came there, there was a lineup, but this place is so far, I'm glad I made the trip, excellent food.

This experience was like finding a hidden gem. The portions are extremely generous and the flavor is extraordinary. I love the down-to-earth atmosphere and the excellent service!

Zet's is a popular diner restaurant serving up some juicy homemade burgers, New York steaks, souvlaki, pork chop, etc. I grabbed some takeout on the way home. My favorite order here is the pork souvlaki dinner. This meal is good for 2 people to share. The pork souvlaki was so tender and juicy. The lemon potatoes and rice were seasoned perfectly. The greek salad was like a meal itself. I think the portions are much bigger than dine-in. You need to go to the cashier to place your order. This restaurant used to be 24 hours, but ever since the pandemic hit, they could not continue those hours. There's a large dining area if you are looking to enjoy your meal. Whenhungerstrikes, I recommend coming to Zet's restaurant. PS they also have a branch in Woodbridge as well.

Order and pay here, that line never waned!

The lineup was constant through the entire time we were there! Literally from the cashier straight through the front doors! For a minimum of $20 per person, we were impressed! Not cheap but still a great value. Big portions that are cooked well and with fresh ingredients. The chicken souvlaki dinner is definitely the most popular. The lemon roasted potatoes are the highlight, but the rich tzatziki sauce and the plump moist chicken is aces! Next time, I'm trying that double burger that looked so good! This is an order-and-sit style place, similar to Harvey's, nice and casual!

Finally got a chance to try out Zet's after a day of shopping, and it did not disappoint! The pork gyro meal was huge, easily enough for 2-3 meals especially with the calamari appetizer we ordered with it. Portions were large, lots of meat and delicious tzatziki sauce. The staff were friendly and helpful in explaining the menu options. Also liked the unique aviation themed ambiance, especially with this location being right next to Pearson Airport! All in all, a great spot for a quick (and filling) bite! I wish they were still 24 hours though

Came for the first time and thankfully there wasn't a huge line. We ordered the chicken and pork souvlaki dinner and both tasted pretty good. Portion size was generous and service was quick and efficient. However I did wish that the food was served a bit warmer. The inside was also pretty clean as well.

May 25, 2024 - I was in the area and decided to get late dinner. This place was packed! I've been to the other location before. But it was my first time at this one. Even though it was packed that day, the service was fast. Didn't take long for me to get to the front. I ordered Chicken Slovakia & Grape Crush, the chicken skewers were huge and the meat was juicy and tender. It was quite a lot. I had to take half of it home. Definitely would get this again.

Wow, when I saw the food coming out, my eyes widened as it was HUGE. I was at the Reptile and Plant Expo on a whim over the weekend, and this spot was just 3 minutes from the International Centre in Sauga, making it super convenient to grab a bite and head back to do more shopping. The food was delicious; I had the chicken sandwich, and my partner had the gyro dinner. We even had another portion to go, enough for a meal the next day. Is it the best Greek food? Maybe not, but it certainly offers great value, and I was pleased. The only thing is they put wayyyy too much dressing and sauce in our food. I would suggest requesting the salad dressing on the side. It's a casual diner with ample seating, so even though it was busy, we were able to score a seat to enjoy.

George's Greek Grill is one of my favorite places. The portions are great. The meat of seasoned perfectly. In my opinion George's has the best Greek potatoes around. I can eat just a bowl of potatoes by them selves with nothing else. If you are looking for great tasting Greek food. Great service. The restaurant seating area itself is tiny and would be better to take out food if you're planning to buy food for more than 2 people. We got 2 orders of the Greek Grill Chicken, 1 order of the Chicken Delight, and 1 order of the Gyro. I thought I wouldn't be full after eating just a pita, but all three of these pita's were huge and stuffed with the meat and toppings. They are very generous on portion sizes! We also got a side of fries and onion rings (highly recommend - they are crispy and salty!). The flavours were great and I am definitely going to come back.

It was obvious the chicken had been precooked and reheated. We mentioned this to the waiter, who seemed irritated by our feedback but eventually took the dishes back and had them redone. The salad was okay but could've used a better dressing. We were both disappointed, especially since we used to be longtime customers. Sadly, this experience sealed the deal, we won't be returning! Honestly, it doesn't come as a surprise. Even during the pandemic, their takeout was overpriced and subpar. They've changed the place and unfortunately, not for the better. Service isn't great either.

MIDIA (mussels) were old and funky tasting and 5 or 6 of them were closed, so clearly dead before cooking. Only ate about half. But the sauce was lovely - low acid tomato sauce, slightly sweet and bright with a squeeze of fresh lemon amd sprinkle of feta. If the mussels had only been fresh it would have been a great dish. SAGANAKI (pan seared sheep's cheese) was the star of the night. Brought to the table hot and sizzling in the pan, with a fresh squeeze of lemon it was salty, crispy, chewy, and delicious! If I ever come back, I'll just order this with a glass of wine and be done. PATZARIA ME SKORTHO (sautéed beets with tzatziki) was nice but I think the beets were boiled or steamed, not sautéed. If they had been sautéed or roasted, it would have been a lot better. Also, the presentation was sloppy. As noted in other reviews, the service was extremely slow. We had to ask several times for more drinks (wine and water). The staff seemed overwhelmed and inexperienced, except the head waiter who was trying to be everywhere while also directing the rest of the serving team who all seemed confused and out of their depth. Decor was nice - clean white walls. Overall a mediocre experience. Food was ok, service was slow. Might stop in for the saganaki & wine again but not for dinner.

The inside didn't look that nice and the place looked old. The souvlaki dinner plate came with chicken, salad, rice, potatoes, three cold pita bread slices and tzatziki sauce. Minus one point as the chicken was dry even though they were large pieces. It wasn't even hot - I thought it was cooked-to-order. The portion of the salad was half the container and it had shredded feta cheese that I've never had before. Usually it's crumbled feta cheese. They followed instructions were all sauces were put to the side. Oh, the tzatziki sauce was really good. If it's homemade, kudos to them. I could use a lot more on the dry chicken and the tender rice. The three potato pieces were another hit. One bite wasn't enough. I wish they gave me more. Overall, I believe there aren't many Greek places around this neighbourhood, so if you are craving Greek, like I was then it's ok. It's a bit pricey. Would I go back? Not sure. Maybe try their gyro wrap as it looks good on other Yelpers' photos. Tried a new takeout place through this crazy pandemic. Sorry ate before taking photos.

I did remember it being good and portions being generous. Last night we visited the Oakville location. We planned to eat a few other treats later in the night so we decided to just split the pork souvlaki meal. When ordering I said we were just going to order one meal and share. When the food came, to my surprise, there were 2 plates, each with our one meal portioned out! I was so surprised. I didn't even ask them to do this. As you can see from the picture, they were basically 2 full meals almost. I couldn't even finish mine! I took some home. My bf cleaned his plate but he was defs not still hungry. He also mentioned how he really liked it ( he's Greek) and it felt healthy. I agreed. I loved the rice and tzatziki. The potatoes were such a generous serving and it was the perfect amount of salad. The pork was the slightest bit a tad dry but I'm not complaining at all. It's my one little critique. When the bill came, there was a $3 charge for a "split meal". However, we weren't bothered by this because we both ate and were satisfied for $30. It's rare to find that anywhere these days at a sit down resto. We are for sure coming back.

The spinach rice was a nice side and the salad had a nice colour to the overall dish. My partner's short ribs were not tender and it was hard to chew on. He said the meat didn't fall off the bone. For dessert, the walnut cake was moist, however the pistachio ice cream looked and tasted fake. Service was pretty good. The washroom at the back, near the kitchen was clean. Overall, I have given them three tries and each time, I didn't feel fully satisfied. I don't think I'll be going back.
