A go-to lunch spot pre-pandemic, 5/5. Recently swung by for lunch, spanakopita and gyro dinner. Gyro dinner. The meat was dry. I'm not exaggerating. It was like chewing on rubber. The worst gyro meat I ever tasted. Spanakopita was exactly as I remembered, flaky, despite not being warmed up prior to packaging. Did not receive pita. The salad had three olives, one slice of cucumber, and half a Roma tomato. Clearly, quality and quantity decreased. Customer service also decreased. The cashier looked like she dreaded being there. Fresh. That's the word I'm going to use to summarize the food here. It tastes amazingly fresh. Come early or order ahead if you're going for lunch, as the line-ups can get pretty wild. Got to try the chicken breast dinner and it was fantastic. It was grilled perfectly, and is served with salad, rice, potatoes, tzatziki, and a small slice of pita bread. Come hungry, as the portion is more than enough to fill you up and leave you very satisfied. It's a place that's certainly off the beaten path (most people only know about it because they work close by), but once you try it, you'll be making the detour here every time. This eatery is within walking distance from my workplace. I go there now and again for lunch on Fridays. There are specials posted on a whiteboard. There is always fish on Fridays, so you're fine if you're looking for a fish fry. I have had it and it's good. I tend to come here for either the hamburger platter, a salad, or souvlaki. Everything is made-to-order. The food is solid.. The head chef can get animated whether there are plenty of orders and they seem to be lagging. He talks louder to his staff. My colleague once described it as being shouting. I don't know. It does get noisy in there. When the craziness dies down, he is the first person to thank you for stopping by. Yummy grilled chicken, pita and greek salad! I visited Plaka with a colleague on a snowstorm day for a quick lunch. The small dinner was full and the line was long, but the scent of grilled chicken and dough convinced me that the food worth the wait. It turned out better than I expected! Although we waited for about 15 minutes, I absolutely adore my greek salad with grilled chicken. A large, thick piece of chicken breast was grilled to perfection and served after being diced. Each piece was mouth-watering. The pita was warm and soft, and the veggies in the salad are very fresh and crunchy. The dressing was also very tasty and paired well. This place is more of a self-serve style dinner and the seats were not comfortable. Nonetheless, I found the price very reasonable for a salad that is decent enough for an adult's lunch. Great spot located in a business / office area. The clientele are all people who work nearby. Every time I come here (minus the mornings), it's been packed! Lunch time is a busy time for them! There's a line up but it usually goes by fast. They're quick and cook everything in front of you behind the counter, and always looks so fresh. The owner is Greek and knows his food! I've ordered their chicken salad - 10/10 served with a huge piece of grilled chicken breast on Greek salad, with a generous amount of tzaziki and garlic bread. Around $12. I've also ordered their chicken breast sandwich, which is a chicken breast in kaiser, with all the fixins. Delicious at roughly $7-8. This place is very busy at lunch. I recommend calling ahead to order. I had the chicken souvlaki dinner with fries. It was really good and a hefty portion - still ate it all though! The tzatziki isn't the best I've ever had but was still really good. If you are a big tzatziki fan / a saucy person like me then ordering extra tzatziki sauces is a must. I ordered 2 extra and finished it all. My meal including a drink came out to about $16 so it's somewhat pricey for lunch but definitely worth it. read more

The service was exceptionally fast because none of the items were made to order... Specifically about the meal: the potatoes and rice were significantly overcooked, the salad was soggy and overdressed and the chicken was under seasoned and the tzatziki had very little garlic and lemon. Overall I would not recommend coming here if you are looking for decent Greek food. I feel as though this restaurant lacks fresh ingredients and poorly executes on their meals.
