My family and I have ordered from this establishment since we've moved to Levittown. This Chinese restaurant is my favorite go to place for Chinese food. The last time I ordered ( two weeks ago from 11/3/24) from Zhou's was the BEST meal I have ever had from there and again, this is the only Chinese restaurant I order Chinese food from. I ordered the shrimp Lo Mein combo platter, with fried egg rice ( I love this rice), a general tso combo, crab ragoon, fried dumplings, sweet and sour chicken combo, and wonton and the food arrived HOT, and delish! The only thing I have to say negative is that my egg rolls were missing and that's the main reason I order combo platters for my kids because I steal their egg rolls. But other than that, I highly recommend this place. The food is always hot when delivered, my orders are never messed up and I think the prices of their food is reasonable. read more

I ordered a sweet and sour chicken combo with wonton soup instead of an eggroll and an order of fried dumplings. The dumplings were hard as a rock and the dipping sauce didn't have any flavor. The dipping sauce for the chicken didn't have any flavor and the wonton soup was awful. The color was off and the flavor was terrible. The wonton itself was a weird texture too. My initial total was $21 something but they charged me extra for getting the soup instead of an eggroll. Then they charged me for the bag of noodles that are supposed to come with the soup. My total before the tip was $30. Robbery for a pint of soup and a bag of noodles. I will never order from here again. read more

I have lived in walking distance from this restaurant for more than 10 years, I had never tried their food. My daughter came home with it one night and asked me to try it. The food was so delicious, it reminded me of Chinese food from NJ where I am originally from. The dumplings, pork fried rice and chicken wings were amazing. read more

First time we ordered and I don't know how we didn't know about this gem! I am so used to having leftovers but we had barely any because everyone kept eating! Crab ragoon was amazing. Wonton soup was amazing. We got honey chicken, I won't lie I wasn't expecting how it was prepared (more like sweet and sour chicken with different sauce on top) but it was very good! This place doesn't deserve any stars! My family ordered from zhou's house In Levittown last night and the food was absolutely disgusting!!! The bourbon chicken looked like tofu and had the texture of a sponge. I bit into the egg roll that comes with the meal and instantly spit it back up, it was mushy and smelt like garbage, I opened it up to see what was so mushy inside and found pieces of what looked like cut up clams and some little white mushy round things I have no clue but smelt like old rotten seafood. I called the restaurant to complain (which normally is not something I would do at all) and to simply ask what their egg roll was made out of because I had no clue what was inside. They said they are sorry it's made from pork and beef and other ingredients when I asked what other ingredients they could not give me an answer and just kept saying sorry but they have been there for a long time and that is how they make their egg rolls sorry I didn't like it. I asked for a refund for the food, even said I would bring it all back to the restaurant. They refused to give my money back and continue to say they are sorry I didn't like the food but they "have been there a long time and other people like ". Maybe the large "For Rent" sign next door was a symbol of what was to come, but I did not think of that on the way in. I came down to Levittown to try Zhou's House based on Yelp reviews, and the fact that I eat Chinese food as often as I can and am always looking for alternative shops to try. The space itself is nice. It is bright, clean and comfortable. The family operation is friendly enough and they take pride in maintaining a pleasant environment. I stopped in for lunch around 2:00 and was the only customer. As is my habit, the first time I visit a resto I order something standard off the menu that is available at every Chinese shop in the West for easy comparison. This day it was General's Chicken, Fried Rice and an Egg Roll for $6.95. All looked good when the large plate arrived at my table. The colors, shapes and textures seemed right. The aroma was nice. Sadly, the positives ended with the atmospheric effects. The Chicken was wrapped in a thick bready coating that hardened like a shell around a too small core of meat. Not only could I not taste the chicken, but I could not even feel it in my mouth while chewing. It was all bun/no beef. The sauce was a thick goo, lacking in finesse and any heat quotient. All corn starch, little spice. The Egg Roll tasted of stale cooking oil, and the Fried Rice was bland. Clearly, this was an empty dish designed to provide a full plate without substance at a lunch specials price. Feh! It could be that the dinners at Zhou's are far better than the lunch menu, but I will never know. Any restaurant willing to dish out the slop given me for lunch, is not one I would chance for dinner. read more

So I'm visiting my aunt here. Being an ex- NewYorker (now from Arizona), I will admit To skepticism about a Chinese takeout in Levittown. Even with the reviews here, I wondered. But I wholeheartedly recommend Zhou's. Clearly there's a difference between eastern and western sesame noodles, but these were as good as any NY Chinatown restaurant, and I've missed that in Arizona. Also had the Home Style tofu with vegetables (no, I don't eat meat) while my aunt had the pepper steak with onions. Huge portions. Leftovers galore. Incredibly clean and wonderful family service and attention. Yes, it's mainly a takeout place, but try to visit and eat there. Chinese food deserves to be eaten immediately if at all possible. This is the place that gives the free doughnuts, not Zhang's. and I only got them with my first order. Service is fast, but food is very mediocre. It doesn't have a bad flavor, it had almost no flavor at all. So bland in fact that you can study the subtle nuances of the oil your food was fried in. Only problem with that is the oil is bland too! Portions are small too. Some places give you the pie tin or plastic tub with the snap on lid completely packed full. Here you get the small size cardboard container of rice and the next size up cardboard container for the entree. Sad. Pricing is off too. I think they just eyeball and round WAY up. Order of dumplings, lo mein, 2ea spring and egg roll comes to almost $30. Would not order again. Area here is limited, but not THAT limited. Also, the last two times I ordered I asked for sesame beef. They sent me sesame chicken both times. read more

So I was looking around for a different Chinese restaurant in the area (other than Sun Wah and Hong Kong Pearl), and per another Yelper's review, I tried Zhou's. They make excellent food, and after 6 different dishes, I can safely review them as one of the best Chinese spots around these parts. My only complaint isnt much of one...but their egg rolls are different from the norm. there seems to be something missing...they are not bad, but not what I expect when I order an egg roll. Eh, the food here is your typical run-of-the-mill Chinese food. Nothing here really stands out to me to make it deserving of more stars. I just came across this hidden gem in Levittown!! The restaurant itself is small! It appears that they prepare a lot of orders for takeout or delivery. The food is so fresh with no MSG! You can taste the quality on your first bite!! The only complaint would be that in my opinion they could use a little "kick" on their spices! It is a family owned business and they are always so happy to see you!! You also get a nice bag of "fresh out of the oven doughnuts" with an order over $25. Zhou's Garden ( Pronounced like Joe's Garden ) was fantastic and accommodated our large party easily! I had the General Tsao's chicken , my go to dish when out, and it was served piping hot just the way a like it! Friendly service from our waiter and a group photo op made for an excellent atmosphere! They even had an authentic offering out for Chinese New Year! Treat yourself to lunch or dinner at Zhou's and you will leave happier than Kung Fu Panda with a doggie bag! read more

The first time I got take out from here everything seemed so so not great but just regular Chinese. My mom came to visit me and my girlfriend a few weeks later and we decided to eat in. The place stunk of foul human waste!! After we picked carefully at our plate for 2 1/2 minutes we left and I immediately threw up. A wonderful surprize to find a great little Chinese restaurant in our area! The Won Ton Soup is fabulous as are all the dishes. We have tried several different items and each is cooked perfectly and quite tasty. The staff is excellent and it is a nice warm restaurant where you can come with your family and have a great Chinese meal. Great Surprize is that they have a limited Japanese menu and the Chicken Katsu (cutlets) is a great meal. Very nice oversized portion and with a nice sauce and brown rice, you hae a very outstanding meal on your hands. Plenty for two and you will probably have leftovers. Finally Levittown has a Real restaurant for Chinese. The owners are absolutely the nicest people even their kids are sweet. The place is exceptionally clean. The food is above average and there noodle dishes are excellent. I give it 5 because they deserve it for the area they serve. The lady makes you feel welcome and nothing is a bother. We just finished our take out dinner and were thoroughly satisfied with EVERYTHING! There was no additional charge for using our credit card as an earlier reviewer stated. This is our third time ordering from them and it has been a great experience every time. I am so happy that there's a local place that we can have delightful Chinese take out and not have to wait forever to get it like we did with a popular Chinese take out place we used to go to in Langhorne. The food is fresh, the place is clean, and the service is exceptional. It's a pleasure to go into a family run business where everyone greets you with a smile and is happy to take care of you. Zhou's is conveniently located near my house so we usually do take-out with a snack of egg rolls which are nice and big. My favorite is the chow mein it has a white sauce on it not like other places that are just fried. The food is pretty basic but I'm never disappointed. The servers are nice. Disgusting establishment - that goes for the food, cleanliness, and the ownership. I was completely underwhelmed by our dine-in experience here this week, and blatantly observed several health code violations that I have a good mind to report. I also observed the proprietor (presumably the proprietor - short darker complexion Asian guy wearing a white apron) berate another patron of the shopping center as she walked to the car carrying her small child. It was SHAMEFUL. He was a complete piece of trash... cursing and screaming at this woman repeatedly (again, while she carried her small child) because he felt she was in one of "his" parking spots. It's a shopping center for heaven's sake! All of his "parking" spots were otherwise empty and she was in/out of the business next door in under 30-45 seconds. She pulled up as we were walking out after our visit, and she was gone before I even started backing out. She didn't engage him, which was commendable. I probably would have gone to extremes if it had been me with my child! Even if the food had been decent (it was nowhere close!)....I'd NEVER GO BACK because of this action alone. If it had gone on further I honestly would have called the cops. I'm sad I gave this individual one cent of my hard earned money. Never again!!! read more
