I have used this highly professional group of artisans for several projects in my home. They settle for nothing less than perfection. Their selection of materials is second to none, and one time when I was looking for a very particular marble with strong black striping which they did not have, instead of asking me to make do, the owner actually took me to another stone fabricator to buy the stone from them - and he didn't do this because it was going to be a high profit job for them. Frank, the owner, did it because he has the soul of an artist and he liked the idea I had. I can't give Zicana, and his entire design staff and fabricators a high enough rating. Zicana was recommended to my husband and I through a contractor that was doing some work on our house. We needed a counter top for a kitchen space we were building and of all the contacts we do have, counter tops was not one of them. So we called Zicana, spoke to Anthony, and he got the ball rolling very quickly. I told him what I was looking for, he made some suggestions on other options for me after I told him the main use of the space (which I appreciated) and I made an appointment to go to their showroom in Westbury to see the samples in person. The showroom was very nice and clean. It was nice to be able to walk into a place and actually physically see large samples of all the different kinds of material. When you see a tiny little 2x2 sample, you cannot really know if you like it or not so the showroom visit was very helpful in our decision making process. We placed our order and Anthony told us it would take a couple weeks which we understood. When our counter top was finally ready, we got it scheduled for installation. The install crew of three was very professional. They did a great job getting it in and making sure we were comfortable with where they were going to drill for the faucet. They cleaned up after themselves and overall, it was a seamless experience. This is my first and last time using Zicana...The service was great until I purchased my slabs. It was down hill after that. They do this bookmarking, which is a service they provide for a fee. However, I ended up making the corrections myself. So be careful, they think they are designers. After going back and fourth with revisions, I was told 2 weeks..Im now waiting closer to 6 weeks with no install date. I was given a date but then the machines went down. I called Amex to reverse charges because they cant give me a date and the service that I paid for. The communication within the company is awful. DO NOT use this fabricator.
