I purchased a 2024 Raptor on Friday the 19th of April 2024. I had every intention of protecting the paint with a high-quality ceramic coating and paint protection film. Ziebart was listed as the number one shop in Watertown, NY. I dropped the truck off on Tuesday the 23rd of April 2024 to have it ceramic coated and for PPF to be applied to the hood. I received a call on Wednesday the 24th of April 2024 letting me know it was going to take one day longer than expected due to orange peel on the factory paint job. I had no qualms with the delay so long as the truck was done correctly. Mind you, this is a brand-new truck with less than 100 miles on the odometer at the time of drop-off. I picked up the truck on Friday the 26th of April 2024 at or about 11 am satisfied with the outcome; however, upon further inspection, I noticed there was a grinding wheel-like damage to the passenger front fender. It is very clearly not a rock chip as the ground angle of the damage appears to sit at a 30-degree angle as if accidentally ground. I brought the truck back to the shop to address the damage with John (the representative I had been working with from the start) with as clear a head as one could have given that my BRAND-NEW truck had been damaged by this organization. I have attached photos of the spot of the damage and photos of the exact location before dropping it off. Ziebart did not conduct a vehicle inspection before starting the job nor did they inform me that there was damage on the fender pre or post-completion of the job. When I addressed the damage with John I did so calmly and respectfully. John proceeded to become very hostile in his tone and physically appeared disgruntled. Before all was said and done, John stated the following "You're just trying to get me to repaint the fender for a rock chip, get out of here" then proceeded to walk back inside giving me no opportunity to respond. I was merely trying to ascertain what had happened and to see if we could come to some sort of agreement regarding the damage. John was completely rude, blamed me for the damage, took no responsibility, and acted in a very childish and unprofessional manner. If you want to get your very expensive vehicle treated with either paint protection film or a ceramic coat, I strongly encourage you to take your business elsewhere, less if you want damage to your vehicle with no responsibility taken by the ones who damaged it. I would give this organization ZERO stars if I could. What is more interesting is that after accepting my vehicle, I spoke to John about possibly coating and applying PPF to my fiancée's car, THAT WILL NOT BE HAPPENING! I cannot believe after having spent nearly 90K on a truck, that a mediocre organization such as Ziebart would damage my truck and dare to tell me it was a rock chip. If it had been a rock chip, why is the damage at that angle? Additionally, the hood is undamaged in that exact location, so do you mean to tell me that the rock hit that spot precisely at that odd 30-degree angle and didn't touch any other part of the vehicle? Why wasn't the damage annotated before the work started? Why didn't Ziebart representatives call me to inform me about the damage with photo evidence before starting the work? Unbelievable business that will not see any more business from me. I will also encourage any that I run into to use any other business besides this one. I have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and am seeking compensation for the damages the business did to my truck. I have also involved my insurance company. I was nice, polite, and the guy who was there that morning was rude from the beginning! I didn't have any demands, I asked if there was another detail they could do, and he rudely told me to go to another place. When I repeated the question to him, he said no and that he wouldn't even get my in by 830, when I was told to be there by 8 for in and out since I would be waiting. I've had a great 5 years of outstanding service with Ziebart in Watertown, NY. Just a few things that I have had done include tires, multiple radio installs, alarms, under coating, several window tint jobs, brush guards, rocker steps, HID headlights, diamond gloss, and speaker installation. No matter what the job was I was always greeted with a smile and some hot coffee. I can remember several times that the employees volunteered to stay late in order to get my vehicle ready for a road trip. I'm sure the underspray I got is just fine. Seems pretty tough...been scrubbing it off the paint by the windshield, along the bottoms of my doors, the back bumper...and a smear of it inside my drivers side ceiling. If it stays put like this underneath my car will never rust! read more

I went here to have the winner protection applied to both my vehicles. I am new to the northern New York area, and was told the protection could prevent rusting. The service was good. I was a bit upset about some over spray that occurred, but they fixed it promptly and have me a gift card for the trouble. I would recommend them. read more

They were supposed to clean in detail the interior of my vehicle. That didn't happened at all. They didn't clean my vehicle in detail as the promotion stated and guarantee. They just vacuum the vehicle like my 5 years old kid would do it. The worst job ever. read more

Have been communicating with the corporate office. They tell me local owners can do what they want, issue a warranty or not . That's still very difficult for me to receive. It's not my name on the service. Also they say its nine years after the fact so they cant help. Hello Ziebart does advertise 10 year national warranty . Again if you must use this service demand your copy of a warranty as that is the only one, no other records will exist. You might have to pay extra for it but its it's the only way to get what you pay for. read more

Services Received: Rust Protection Package Z-Gloss Package Interior/Window Protection Package Overall: I'd rate my experience 4.8 stars rounded up to the nearest star rating. Short: I would recommend this company, especially the sales manager Johnny B.; They will get my business again, I guarantee it. Experience: I'm not going to sugar coat it. It wasn't exactly what I was expecting, but I have never used a service like this before so I really didn't know what to expect. There were also some minor concerns, but they were addressed and handled within a timely manner to my complete satisfaction. Also, they provided a rental vehicle since my services were a day and half of labor. -- Rust Protection - I had heard horror stories about the black lacquer underspray being 'tar' like and impossible to remove. However, it actually looked very nice. It was less tar like than described by others, but softer than a lacquer. Comes with a pretty sweet warranty too, especially if its a car under 20,000mi, because it transfers to the next owner. There was a small amount of overspray on the rims, but they mentioned that and cleaned most of it off. I just found a little they missed. Easy to remove compared to what I've heard and no damage caused from removal. Z-Gloss - It's not as thick or as shiny as I had imagined it would be, but from my understanding its only a three layer system. I also have no prior experience here so what I imagined might have been unrealistic for a 'ceramic' coating. Seems pretty resilient though and does look nice. Makes cleaning it as easy as hot soapy water and a rag. Nothing else to it. Other - Due to a miscommunication between myself and the representative the inside wasn't detailed prior to applying the leather protection, but they were correct in saying it was not necessary since the car was brand new off the lot. Either way - it was promptly fixed at no extra charge. It looks very nice and is also easier to keep clean - dry rag dust removal and shiny again! The window protection is much like you would expect and works pretty effectively. Johnny B. gave me top notch customer service and was eager to please. The portion of my vehicle he worked on was immaculate and I appreciate his fine eye for detail. So ask for Johnny because I can't promise you'll be treated as well with anyone else, although I wouldn't know because he is the only one I dealt with from beginning to end. read more

Where do I start?! I went to this location with hopes of touching up my undercoating and getting my truck detailed, but when I picked up my truck after leaving it there for the whole day only the detail was complete! When I inspected the undercoating job I discovered that only the wheel wells were sprayed...and worse they just sprayed over the crap that was already there, no prep work was done!!! I was very frustrated to say the least!!! I spoke with the owners son who tried to reassure me that the truck had been "cleaned, scraped, sprayed with rust eliminator, and the coating!" Which was total BS because I could visibly see the old loose coating underneath that they had just sprayed over it, AND the entire underbelly wasn't even touched!!!! SO after having to walk him out to my truck before he would listen to me I was told to bring my truck back Monday to have the job re-done. Monday rolls around, I go to pick up the truck and the underbelly was STILL not touched!!!!!! So I asked to speak to the guy who actually does the spraying! Which to my surprise he tells me, he can't lift my truck and that he has to spray it all from his back laying on the dang ground beneath my truck, making me think how can he really do a proper job then?! Also he tells me Ziebart teaches them NOT to spray under the truck, that they used to do it but not "really" anymore bc that stuff "rusts".....ummm yeah I know that's what I'm trying to prevent!!! Long story short - I had to double check their shady **** work several times even on the truck detail (wax on my line-x coating which I specifically asked them not to do and had to ask several times to fix) The crew may be "nice" but they DO NOT care for your vehicle the way you expect, and they provide and VERY LOW level quality of craftsmanship!
