It didn't have that chaotic hustle bustle of some places that make you feel like you're in a hen house. Add to that Messi's superior scalp massage, scratch, double cleanse and condition, and I was too zen to be concerned about my hair any more. Thankfully, I didn't have to worry. I got a superior cut from Ziggy and no judgment on the impulsive chop job I did myself when I couldn't stand my dry ends any more. Mist did an horrible job on my sons hair. Booked a last minute appointment stylist even had the nerve to ask me why didn't I go back to who initially started his locks. When I called about my concerns, I was told that it was the rain. My sons hair did not get wet. They gave him a shower cap and we didn't even leave the car. Please review the pictures below. This place was recommended by a family member, but I would never recommend anyone especially because I asked for a partial refund and I was advised that refunds are not allowed and I would have to come back in. I went to Ziggys salon the day after I had a botched haircut- I had asked for a 1 inch trim and got 7 inches lopped off my hair. I decided since the big chip happened I may as well take the plunge and try a deva cut to bring movement to my hair and let me waves and curl shine. Ziggy took me ASAP the next day, and her team was wonderful. They checked my temperature at the door and everyone was masked up. I knew it was time I had a proper trim so I sought out Ziggy's services and booked an appointment for a silk press. Everyone in the salon was very nice and professional. Ziggy was quick and efficient while she was pressing and cutting my hair. She also pointed out the areas that felt dry, which was definitely good for my own knowledge. A con I noted was feeling as though my entire scalp wasn't properly cleansed. The assistant focused more on the top and back of my scalp and kind of neglected the middle. Most times I walk in and go right to the sink. The shop is clean and has welcoming decor. All COVID procedures are being followed and I'm confident that the distance apart and cleaning procedures are top notch. All the products used on my hair smell amazing! My hair looks gorgeous when I'm done. I've gotten countless compliments on how healthy and pretty my hair looks. I adore Ziggy and her staff. She takes her business seriously and that means a lot to me. You can tell all the staff are trained the same and she requires consistency. I've had four different people wash my hair and if I had to tell them apart, I couldn't. When you get a deep conditioner they massage your scalp... I repeat, massage your scalp, not just slap the product in your hair like some places. That massage is amazing, I always want it to last longer. I personally can't stand when I leave a salon and my shirt is wet; I HATE dripping wet hair. Guess what, not going to happen here! They tuck everything in properly with the towel and cape. During one service I had a hoodie on and it wasn't wet when I was finished. I honestly can't say enough positive things about Ziggy and this establishment. Highly recommended! My daughter finally got me to check out Ziggy Artistry and I'm so glad she did. As soon as you make your online appointment their top notch service begins. I got a text saying my appointment had been approved, then a day later I got a phone call from Ashley, the very professional and friendly receptionist. She asked me questions that were used to assess what I wanted done with my hair. I shared that I had gray/silver hair and I didn't want to be pressured to color it. She completely put me at ease by telling me they love working with hair such as mine, rather than trying to cover it up with dye. First, when you arrive don't be taken aback because of its location. Yes, you could miss it because it is tucked behind a group of stores on Main Street, but the good news is there is more than adequate parking available. The door was open and I walked into the most beautifully decorated salon I have ever seen in Rockland. The vibe is very zen. The staff was extremely welcoming and they were focused on one customer at a time. Kendall, my stylist was friendly and gave me compliments on my hair. She shared ideas of ways to style my hair this visit as well as future visits. Without rushing me through the process, Kendall had me in and out in 1 hour and 25 minutes!!!! I live in Orange County and it takes me 45 minutes to drive to New City, nevertheless I have already booked two more appointments with Kendall. Ziggy Artistry is well worth a visit. read more

I went to Ziggy about 3 or 4 times (with a very thick set of hair) to get a wash and silk press. Everyone that knows me knows how particular I am with my hair. I've been looking for a quality hair stylist since I moved from Brooklyn, NY and I have to say, I was disappointed. Ziggy is very kind, warm, and professional and so is her staff. So I gave her a few more tries. I was even able to give Ziggy some feedback and she was very receptive to it. But my hair has started thinning since going to her and unfortunately, doesn't look the same. The quality of hair care is definitely missing. Her assistant is very sweet but very conservative with the amount of shampoo and conditioner she uses on my hair leaving my hair feeling like it hasn't been washed or treated. I'm not looking for a hair stylist to make my hair just look nice. I'm looking for someone to treat and care for my hair as if it were their own. I took so much pride in my healthy, full, bouncy, lively hair. But now, I have some reconstruction and rebuilding to do.
