Beers, music, and art. There's not much more you can ask for. The owners are friendly, knowledgeable, and they do a great job posting info on social media. I highly recommend getting drinks for takeaway on their site, and one some days there is a taco truck in the alley. All in all it's a perfect Ypsi experience.

Can't beat free music. You can purchase drinks inside but there is only outdoor seating. It can be a little stuffy in the alley on a hot day.

This place is great! The setup is good, the sound is usually on point, in the shows tend to attract a fun crowd!

This was a great venue for music and drinks. I really enjoyed their open mic night and variety of acts.

Good music nearly every night of the week. Always a chill, fun vibe. Good service, reasonable prices at the bar.

    Ask the Community - Ziggy's

Is Ziggy's kid friendly? And is it a bar?

Ziggy's is the friendliest place in Ypsi but really not for kids. It is a live music venue that serves alcohol. Kid friendly would be Go Ice cream

Then we started to think about food and the server recommended the artichoke dip with homemade flatbread. It was absolutely amazing. The place is cool and the vibe is pretty chill. I'm not a beer girl, but this place was awesome!

We were here in December so the patio wasn't open but looks roomy with many picnic tables. We opted to sit at the bar because that's usually where we get personal with brew pubs we love to discover. We always search local brews when traveling and 9/10 times the bartender will greet us, ask if we've been there, make recommendations or tell us a bit about the brewery style. Not here. I'm not sure the bartender ever even made eye contact and pretty sure he wanted to be there even less than he wanted us to be there. We did get a few beer samples by request, but no recommendations, he didn't ask what we thought and he made us feel very unwelcome right from the start. However, once that bartender was relieved the new bartender was chatty and friendly to the new customers. We had finished our beers and meal by that time and just needed to cash out. So I would say maybe it's just that one employee. We had the pretzels. Kudos to the pretzel bread-- it was delicious. Beer cheese was pretty good, as was the mustard. We asked about the menu and what he recommends (still trying to be friendly and get him to warm up). He recommended the special menu, so we ordered the Blackened Salmon sandwich. It was okay/average. Fries were cold. We ordered the Table Talk beer and I enjoyed it. I'd say that the beer was the best part of the whole experience. Overall I'm glad we tried it but we wouldn't go back. If the bartender had been more welcoming and interested in sharing a bit more about the concept, we would give it a second try when we head out there again. It's always good to try other food items and beers, but the vibe doesn't warrant a second try. I can understand if a place is busy, but we were there at 2pm on a Saturday and were two of four at the bar and he didn't look to be super busy with the restaurant as a whole. It's always so disappointing when service falls so short on something that could be such a unique experience. Three stars for the beer and pretzel.

The food is amazing. Please try to the burnt ends and brussel sprouts! The staff were amazing and we were lucky enough to meet the owner who was the most down to earth and made sure our experience was perfect from start to finish. The atmosphere is by far the most relaxing and upscale spaces I've been to in the greater Ypsilanti/Ann Arbor area.

Disappointing BBQ Experience We drove in from a few towns…read moreover, excited to try this spot because they're open late (until 11pm) and we were craving some solid BBQ. Unfortunately, it was a pretty disappointing visit overall. We ordered the DQ Pulled Pork and Brisket, and both came out cold with no flavor. The corn bread was okay, and the collard greens were surprisingly spicy -- not bad, just unexpected. We originally wanted the trifecta but they had already run out of ribs. So we went for two orders of burnt ends, expecting that rich, crispy texture. Instead, they were soft, smushy, and cold -- more like baby food than BBQ. Not good at all. The only standout dish was the corn cream cheese side -- warm, flavorful, and probably the best part of the meal. Also worth mentioning: the bartender was great -- super cool and clearly passionate. The place itself has a chill, loungey vibe, but it doesn't really feel like a true BBQ joint. Final thoughts: Burnt ends: Cold, soft, no bark -- total miss Pulled pork & brisket: Cold, bland Collard greens: Spicy, but decent Corn cream cheese: Delicious Vibe: Cool, but not very BBQ-ish Service: Bartender was the highlight Wish we could've had the food to match the energy. Hopefully they can tighten things up, especially on the basics.
