I chose to take pictures the day of the event but given the chaos on my end, maybe I should have booked the picture session in advance. Time gets ahead of you no matter how much you prepare. The hair and makeup artist was able to follow my vague instructions and helped customized my overall look, including jewelry choices. She also stayed throughout the shoot for touch-ups, and even helped with posing. Sam's knows what angles to shoot and which lighting works. He guided us through the poses and was able to wrap up our shoot earlier than estimated even though I usually find myself very awkward in front of the camera. I also appreciated that they provide all of the digital files, including the 500+ raw ones. When I wasn't a fan of the initial editing style, Sam was very receptive to my feedback and revised the photos quickly. The reason for 4 stars is the communication.
