Don't trust this guy. Call someone else…read more I found a 1972 Jeep CJ5 on FB Marketplace for sale. The ad said "fully restored" and "runs good." It was 90 miles from my house. I know most of those ads are BS, so I called Quinton at MotorMedics to verify the Jeep's condition. I understood I was not buying a new or nearly new vehicle. It's an old Jeep. I wanted to know what I was getting into. Buyer beware. I get it. I wanted an expert opinion about the mechanical condition. Quinton charged me $200, then (presumably) went to see the vehicle. He did a 50 point inspection that appears to be standard. On that inspection, he rated 43 items as "green," which I assume means good; 2 as yellow, which I assume means "beware"; 0 items as red; and 5 items as N/A, which I assume means none or not any. I was happy with that and sent my son up to look it over and buy it if he was comfortable with it, knowing that a mechanic gave it a good bill of health. Among the things he rated as green were power steering, spare tire and jack, interior lights and horn. The problem was, the Jeep has NONE of those things... Other things he rates as green were brake fluid level and condition (it was black, not clear like it's supposed to be and I've had to replace the master cylinder and brake lines), the steering (the vehicle darts to the left erratically over 30 miles per hour. I have had to have the entire front suspension and steering system replaced), the windshield wipers (they do not turn on, I'm replacing the motor), the horn (does not work), cruising behavior (see steering problem above)... I could go on, there is much more, but you get the picture. I called Quinton to let him know he had "missed" a few things and he responded, "Yeah, so what do you want me to do about it?" I asked him if he'd actually driven it, knowing that if he had, he would have noticed the wild steering. He said, "For liability reasons," he couldn't drive it. So why did he certify that the "cruising behavior" of the Jeep was green? He did send a walk around video to prove he had been there, but I wonder if it was he who recorded the video and not the owner himself. Turns out that Quinton actually helped the owner redo the Jeep. He was involved in the rewiring (much of which I have had to redo myself since buying it). He wasn't working for me, even though I was paying him for his expertise. Here is the big takeaway for me. BUYER BEWARE. Don't trust Quinton or his reports. I wasted $200 and have spent way more since then getting the Jeep to the standard he declared it to be when I bought it.

So, if the owner was really so busy "doing her job", I think she could have called me back. Don't say you're a 24/7 service if you're not. That simple. She did not answer ANY of my calls so I'm not sure where the 1 out of 2 came from? Anyways, we went with a more reliable local provider who was very generous and understanding of our needs.

I feel that Mosteller is no different, but that is just me) Second Chance; A few days later I brought my mother-in-law (s) car in to have the rear lighting panel repaired as the only light that was working was the right rear brake light. A couple days later Mosteller called and said that they had repaired the issue, charged Mrs Warren a ridiculous amount. When we brought the car home, the same scenario, nothing worked (I know, I should have checked it before I left the garage) so I had to bring the car back and explained the situation. When the mechanic came out to check the matter, he had to remove the entire panel whereupon I saw that several of the tail lights were NOT replaced and that the light sockets were "corroded." (proves my point about mechanics) They repair was shoddy and incompetent, I was appalled! These guys are supposed to be ASE Certified... wish the experience would have been better.
