Zinneken's always smells really good when I walk by in Harvard Square, so I finally decided to give it a try today. The indoor seating is cozy, and I liked being able to watch the snowstorm through the windows. I ordered the Fruit Delight, which comes with strawberries, bananas, and chocolate. I thought the chocolate was a little too sweet as the waffle already had a sweetness to it. The fruits added a refreshing bite and the waffle itself was very warm, light and crispy.

This waffle is genuinely one of the best waffles I have ever had. The crust was so crispy and sweet like almost caramelized and the inside was fluffy and perfect. The strawberries and bananas were rip and sweet. It was such a good waffle I'm literally drooling, and I got it from a food truck imagine how good it is from the real storefront. The truck seemed super clean and they had a long line but were moving fast and efficiently. The staff were also super nice.

Yum yum waffles! My bf and I decided to get dessert here after we walked by on the way to dinner. The place is really cute and it has two tablets where you can place your order for either a yummy waffle or coffee or both! Once you place your tablet order the nice people call out the name of the order and you pick up your food at the counter. Not only did our waffles look amazing they tasted amazing! Mine was topped with fresh strawberries and bananas and topped with gooey chocolate. My bf got his with a side of whipped cream. Both were delish! Since they had matcha on the menu I decided to try theirs and it did not disappoint! They did not have any decaf options though so that was a bummer for my bf but he really enjoyed his waffle. We will definitely be coming back!

After having waffles in Brussels, I had to try them again. Zinneken's been in the area for a while and I understand why! I tried their liege waffle w/ bananas and nutella and their speculoos latte and they both hit my craving. The waffle was crispy and sweet. It is a little doughy/dense but I think thats the nature of the waffle style. I wish they had more seating options since it felt a little cramped, but overall solid. They had a kiosk you self order at so it's a more casual place.

I don't have much of a sweet deal, so it is a big deal when I say this place is DELICIOUS and I finished a whole plate of waffles! It is so cute and tiny but might in its layout, inviting and warm. The service was fast and smooth. Staff were friendly to answer any questions we had about the waffles. We had the option to customize our waffle or pick pre-designed waffles, I went with the pre-designed ones. The Oreo waffle was SO delicious! I also enjoyed eating the banana forward waffle :3

Cute place but Brussels waffle is never available so menu is misleading. I've been a regular customer but am really disappointed by the availability and service

I love this place! The waffles are fantastic, with so many options to choose from. I highly recommend the strawberry Nutella. Note: it's a bit on the smaller side, so there aren't many tables for dining in. Other than that, it's a great spot!

At this point, we might as well call Zinneken an institution within THE institution! There's something magical about enjoying a delicious snack in the cozy backdrop of Americas greatest education institution. I absolute love waffles. But the liege waffle? Never really been a fan. I have already found the texture a little too hard, from the caramelization of the pearl sugar. Until this experience that is! Zinneken simply gets it right. Crispy exterior, but soft chewy interior. These are some of the freshest, tastiest fruits I've had in a long time. And the whip cream and syrup are perfection. Zinneken has been around for as long as I've been coming to the Boston area. One can only imagine all the accomplished minds that have enjoyed these waffles. It's taken me over a decade to finally check it off my list, but I shall soon return!

Decadent treat for a sweet tooth! The perfect dessert stop close to Harvard Square. Self-serve style kiosk and minimal seating but nice atmosphere.

We always return to this spot whenever we want some great coffee and Belgian Waffles!! Love the decor and the homie feel when I walk in. Service is very welcoming and fast. In love with their berry waffles and cappuccino!!

Came here for dessert. Was busy but able to find seat and order at kiosks then get food within reasonable time. Also got tea which was nice in cold weather. Good portions and scrumptious.

Top tier waffles. Freshly made, lots of topping options, perfectly crispy and light. Peaceful atmosphere.

Delicious waffles ! Good coffee! Tiny space be prepared to squeeze in . You can order on the iPad or at the counter. They bring it out to you. The waffles are liege waffle S but the size of a Brussels waffle. We shared one and it was plenty!! Got an Americano and it was decent. They didn't have half and half creamer so I plopped my extra whipped cream into it myself.

We ordered online from their actual website, and the online menu was very clearly labeled and was SO thorough in explanations and checkmark boxes for variations and letting the place know about allergies and such. That is rare to find, and people with allergies always have to worry about that kind of thing, it's a whole to-do. IYKYK. If you have celiac, it may not be a great option as they have cross contamination for their pizzas. Anyways, now the grand reveal: I got a gluten free and dairy free pizza with various toppings and it was GREAT!! It's rare to find a pizza place that can fill the place of regular pizza when you have gluten & dairy allergies, but this comes close! I'm very happy with what I ordered. It is pricey, and their extras are pricey to add on. However, I don't really care as it is rare to be able to enjoy pizza for me. They also provide little gf/df marshmallow treats as a little dessert, for free. That was a nice surprise. Companies don't do stuff like this, so it goes a long way in my book! Overall, great allergy friendly pizza place, and also for regular folks who want a regular pizza. Everyone will be happy.

I've also never had anyone tell us they do not like the restaurant once they try our recommendation. It's a small, cozy, dimly lit restaurant located at a corner near MGH. Street parking may be tough but there are garages around. The hospital garage may be a bit pricey; I believe the restaurant can validate for another garage nearby. Our must order items from the menu include seared foie gras (5/5), duck magret a l'Orange (5/5), escargot (5/5), french onion soup (5/5, and steak tartare (4/5). I love using their bread to dip with the escargot and eat with the foie gras as they do not come with carbs. During my last visit, I tried the boneless short ribs Bourguignon, I felt like it was a bit dry. I loved the potato croquette that came with the dish though, creamy on the inside with a crispy exterior. The meat did not fall off and melt, maybe it was just that one day. I will stick to ordering duck as my entree as it has never failed us and the cook and flavors are also supreme. Creme brulee is always great to end the meal! Service is alway is great, every server we've had were always attentive. We were given free champagne one year when we told them it was our anniversary too!
