Steve's has always been great to me, but today they were outstanding. I am eloping tomorrow and picked up my flowers from a different shop and hated them. After a small break down in the car, I went straight to Steve's. My fiancé and I were greeted by Martyna, I explained the situation to her and she immediately got to work trying to salvage a frustrating situation. I needed some unique flowers outside of the traditional trader joes selection so I stopped by to see what they offered. I was so excited when I walked in because they had an abundance of all sorts of flowers - variety of roses, mums, ranunculus, hydrangeas, etc and I love that they are sold per stem. This allowed me to pick and choose what I wanted in my bouquet that I would make at home. They also make bouquets if you just need something quick to go. While I was there, someone came in looking for a white bouquet to be made with a $50 budget - the bouquet that was made for them looked incredible! Beautiful and beyond!!!! I have this wild obsession with peonies, but not all are equal. I was a short walk away having lunch so I decided to stop in. On first impression, I felt as if I walked into a goldmine of floral delight and farmhouse chic. Literally everything was visually wow and smelled like a dream! Almost immediately I was greeted by the owner's son (Steve Junior) who was in the process of gathering up flowers for a bouquet. I could not help but notice how unique his assortment looked! Soon after a very cheery lady named Wendy offered to help me pick flowers. Being so overwhelmed by so much floral beauty, her focus on getting me something just right was greatly appreciated. I didn't want something too big, because I have only a small space (City-dweller life) yet my goal was for the arrangement to last and enjoy over the next week or longer. Peonies are lovely all on their own so while it was very tempting to add on other beautiful flowers and greens, we decided less is more elegant. My husband found Steve's a few years ago and always stops here to pick up custom bouquets for special occasions. We have even started coming here for custom floral decor when hosting (just did it for thanksgiving). All we do is give general directions, like color scheme and other decor, and they always create something unique and beautiful. I would say prices vary, you can get a bouquet anywhere between $40-100 and a custom table centerpiece for $50 (square vase) to $100 for a large rectangular vase). Those are price ranges based on our orders but you could also give them a price range to work with as well. It is also a market so you can get loose flowers or custom make one with one of their specialists. The arrangements are waaaaaaaayyyyyyyy better than anything you can order from a regular online floral broker and end up costing the same. Definitely worth the money IMHO, everyone should check this place out. read more

I cannot say enough great things about Steve's Flower Market! I love the location, just west of downtown on Grand Avenue. It only takes a few minutes to get there from the heart of the city and easy parking is located right in front of the shop. There is something so sweet about this flower shop. Old hardwood floors set the stage for the MILLION flowers to shine. I have never seen so many flowers in one little shop. I guess that means they keep busy and nothing goes to waste. The icing on the sweetness cake is Buttons - the flower shop doggie. So adorable; I want to stop in just to see him! I always work with Kathy. She is a dream. As a Concierge, I am often ordering for others. With that comes many questions and slight changes as we go through the process. She has amazing ideas and offers such creativity. This review is only for their wedding flower service. We didn't need much and Steve's was a great fit because they don't require a minimum spending amount. The personal flowers (i.e. bouquets, boutonnieres, corsages) were delivered to us earlier in the day around noon in time for photographs. The decor was delivered to the venue in time for setup. Everything was almost a slam dunk, except that they didn't fully deliever. During our appointment, the staff member said things like "we can make the arrangements exactly like this" when I showed pictures. When the day came, the bouquet had the right flowers, but the size and styling were very different. Also, we talked about having green leaves sprawling across the dinner tables. The contract even included an example picture, but when we entered the room for dinner it wasn't the same and instead there were only tall bottles of flowers. Fortunately, our guests couldn't tell the decor was off, so we didn't lose sleep over it but we did pay hundreds. I tried to give Steve's feedback on this so future customers wouldn't have to go through the same mishap, but they were defensive with no sign of wanting to improve. I'd recommend this place if you're on a budget and you're ok if it ends up not being how you pictured. read more
