Been going here for my dry cleaning for a few months now. Nice, friendly service. Prices seem reasonable.

Stephanie is top notch at what she does. She has been altering clothes for my mother for years. I…read morejust took a bridesmaid dress to her. She flawlessly made it fit like a glove. It had to be taken in at the bust, and shortened. It was a double layer slip. She gave it a slight train in the back, and added a removable halter strap for me so I would be comforable after the ceremony. She also altered my bra so it would fit perfect and not show under the dress. She did this in one week. She charged $75.00 for all of that. David's bridal quoted me $125 for the dress alone, and would not add the straps as it would "alter the integrity of the dress". It looks beautiful, and I can't wait to wear it to celebrate such a happy day for one of my friends. I'll never go anywhere else.

Sorry...this is long, but it's important to share it all…read more I've been using Stephania for many years and have overlooked her idiosyncrasies. Over the past, she has had me buy her polish mineral water, soup for her lunch, take letters to the post office and drop something off at the local police station. (Perhaps I should've seen that last one as a red flag.) And I have done these things for her because honestly, I felt a little bad for her, but as the saying goes: No Good Dead Goes Unpunished. My son got married a couple weeks ago and the wedding was out of town. Both my daughter, who was a bridesmaid, and myself needed our dresses altered/repaired a bit. We went in and did our fitting and Stephania kept muttering things that you can't really understand and swearing, she always does this. I just ignored all of it because I was focused on having the dresses done. She said it needed to be hemmed and told me that my zipper was bad, don't know if it really was bad because we got it zipped before, but i thought do I really want to be in the middle of the ceremony and have the zipper fail? So I agreed for her to change it. I did bring her water, as a nice gesture and she said she would have the dresses ready in 10 days. That night, I started thinking about her hemming mine and really didn't think I needed or wanted that done to the dress so the next day, I went back and told her that I wanted to try it on again and didn't think I wanted it hemmed. She then said that it needed to be taken in in the hips, so I agreed to that. She also always wants to know where you bought something and how much you paid for it; not comfortable with that so I would be vague...guess that may determine the price of & how many alterations she does. Then she asked me if I was busy. I laughed and said I couldn't be busier getting ready for the wedding. She asked me if I could go get her some zippers. Well...since one of the zippers she needed was for MY DRESS...guess I had to find the time to do that. She then asked me to buy her 7 different types, sizes and colors of zippers, 4 large spools of different colored threads, and 2 yards of lining material and I being who I am said fine. I returned the next day with all of it and paid for my own zipper separately. On the Monday the dresses were to be ready, my daughter and I went to pick them up around 4:30p. She tried her's on and it fit ok. I went to try mine on and Stephania told me, "no,no,no...it's good." I was skeptical and uncomfortable with this, but paid her (supposedly she deducted what she owed me for the zippers, etc). She had no itemized receipt and said she would have the receipt for me next time. As we were leaving, she said she wanted to see pictures and was all "my honey this and my honey that..." walking us out down the hall as though we were good buddies. I got home and decided I should try that dress on and of course, there was a huge issue with it. The dress fit perfectly before...it had some snagging and beads that needed to be reattached, but for the most part, did not NEED any alterations. The hip area was a bit big on me, but would have been fine without alterations. Now, I could not zip it up and there was something sharp at the bottom of the zipper. I raced back over to her shop and she was still there and looked up at me with cold, dead eyes. I was actually shocked at the way she looked at me. (This is basically 15 minutes after all this gushing at us she did.) I told her I had a little issue and that I couldn't zip up the dress. She told me, "That's your problem, not mine." I was flabbergasted. Was this the same woman who not a half hour before was all...my honey...take pictures to show me...??? I pleaded with her not to do this to me; that we needed to work together and why was she acting this way. She used a few swear words and muttered other incoherent things and then, as I was getting undressed to show her how the dress fit, she took a bag of things I had left with her to do alterations on at her convenience, and threw it at the door and told me, "I fix dress and then no more..I no do more for you." I was in shock. Like I would allow her to touch that dress again now. I quickly got dressed and took my things and left and will warn everyone I know and don't know about her. At 5:45p, I drove, shaking like a leaf, to a tailor I had passed while driving by her shop, but never used. FIFI's Tailor Shop in Elmhurst. She calmed me down and fixed the dress to the best of her ability and had it ready for me the next day; as we were leaving town soon. She told me that Stephania had cut the lace...should NEVER HAVE BEEN CUT and that it was puckering where the zipper had been replaced so she needed to redo that. FIFI got the dress to fit me...not as well as when I had bought it and I had lost weight since buying it so that was not the issue. BE FOREWARNED THAT IF YOU USE STEPHANIA....YOU DO NOT KNOW WHAT YOU WILL GET.
