First reservation:
The car was easy to find, and I booked the car using my US Zipcard, which is always the first thing in my wallet. Found it, swiped it, and got in. I noticed that the UK cars have a damage log (which was quite extensive). You had to ring Zipcar to report damage, and then write down the case number. I did not have a mobile, obviously, so I did not call anything in. Most of the damage log was all unreported, but rather only written down for a paper record and not called in for an electronic record.
The gas tank was less than half-full, which was not amusing. I had to drive to a petrol station around Tower Bridge to fill up, but at least the card worked. Just a huge waste of time though. I told Zipcar about this, but they did not do anything to solve the problem. Basically wasted an hour of my reservation fixing someone else's mistake.
It was only my second time driving a manual transmission car. Right hand drive was f--king interesting, more interesting than anything I have ever experienced before. Took a drive to the Royal Observatory from Holborn, and I kept stalling, but the car started itself up again every time you press the brake after a stall. For the love of God, the car kept slipping backwards on the hill to Greenwich, and I could not operate the brakes well on the car. Got there though, and I guess my driving improved 200x on the way there.
Slightly expensive, was not a big fan of that. Maybe taking the Underground and walking would have been better.

Second reservation:
The car was also easy to find, and was parked on the street. Swiped the Zipcard and got in. The entire cabin was filled with blonde puppy hairs, which was absolutely ridiculous and bonkers. Because I needed to go eat near Muswell Hill, and I barely had any time on the reservation, I just left without cleaning it. Got to Toff's, ate fish and chips, ladeeda, headed back, and boom, the front left tire (or "tyre") popped. Had to run into the local university to borrow one of the employee's phones (God bless his soul for letting me use the phone). I drove the car and parked it into the taxi loading area, and then called Zipcar. The lady started arguing with me about why I needed to change the tire/tyre myself, and I got pretty angry at her. Then, she asked me what number I was calling from... I thought they had caller ID.
I have never changed a tire/tyre by myself before, but it was pretty self-explanatory, so I went into the trunk/boot to look for the tools. Tools were there, but the key for the tires/tyres was not in the car. How the heck do you expect someone to change their own tires/tyres when the wheels are locked on??!? What if I was in the middle of nowhere? How is this even considered safe?
She called back later to apologize/apologise for arguing with me, and said that she would have a tow truck dispatched/despatched to the scene. I asked her how I was supposed to get to the hotel in the West End area of London, and she told me to walk... I told her I would take a taxi, and she agreed that Zipcar would cover 5 GBP maximum for the ride. Sent in a receipt, never got the money. They also ended up charging me for the extra time it took for them to tow the car, from the time the tire/tyre popped, to the time they got the car back, at the per-hour rate. I had to call to get my money back. Ridiculous.

Really did enjoy the convenience, not much the customer service.
