Zee's food is amazing!! Seriously! If you're lucky enough to order from her....when she has special orders for local people, do it. We ordered: - Nasi Lemak (the chicken rendang is to die for!) - seafood laksa (with the hint of lime, oh this dish is very well balanced)' - curry puff and roti is crunchy and so tasty. Highly recommend Zee's cooking. Everything we had was so delicious. She also makes vegetarian options. She's very kind and thoughtful. I have a few rules that I follow when it comes to restaurants, one of them is if you have an asinine restaurant name, I will not patronize said establishment. I've heard of Zippy Zee, and when I saw they offered Singapore street food I was all in until I saw the name "Zippy Zee" , which in my book qualifies as an asinine name. Anyway, while I was strolling in the Fat Village Art Walk, I saw the Zippy Zee stand which piqued my interest, I mean I was already there so I might as well check them out. Unfortunately, I didn't see anything resembling Singapore street food, what I did see were the same items I would find in the frozen section of anyone of my favorite Asian marts in metro Fort Lauderdale. Maybe it was an off day for them, I don't know. I did buy a couple of curry puffs, they weren't bad at all, but they weren't bursting with flavor. Loves Malaysian/Singaporean food? You have got to try Zee's kitchen. I got to know about her farmer's market stall through some South Florida Malaysians and Singaporeans. She is very highly spoken off among this group. I only wish I got to know about her and her food much earlier!! What is so good about Zee's kitchen? Food and service. Let's start with the food. She makes authentic Malaysian food with flavors as close to the kitchen of a Malaysian home as one could possibly get here in foreign Florida. I have tried her beef ball soup, which reminds me of the Singaporean lontong. In fact, it is better than a lot of the lontongs in Singapore. It has a lot of herbs both in the soup and the beef ball without overpowering the beef flavor. Definitely a good choice if you are feeling under the weather or you need a pick-me-up. She also made a unique twist to the Malaysian roti canai by making it into a roll with beef rendang. This dish is more of an appetizer suitable and is suitable for children! My hubby and daughter finished it before I was done talking to her! When you can't find her in the farmer's market at Margate, or other markets that she frequent, she also does small scale catering. PM her on Facebook and ask if she has any special on the menu. I recently ordered nasi lemak, which is coconut rice that comes with chicken curry. It was mouth-watering delicious even my daughter was snacking on the rice before I could spread out all our food. It comes with crunchy peanuts, anchovies and fragrant sambal. I am looking forward to trying more of her food. Service wise, she is a very friendly lady. She noticed that I have a 3 yr old as soon as we met and made sure to explain all the ingredients and flavors of her food. How many cooks that you meet are mindful of kids and their diet? She even remembered my daughter when I ordered from her the next time and added a little dish that was kid-friendly into my order! How sweet of her! If you are visiting with a toddler, definitely don't feel shy to ask about her food. I can seriously go on and on about all the good things but I think you get the picture. To balance out my post, I am not a big fan of her curry puff - it was not crispy like it should but that was more of the consequences of not having a warmer at the farmer's market. Being a Malaysian living overseas, I have always been looking for authentic Singaporean/Malaysian food to ease my craving. Thankfully I found Zippy Zee Kitchen at Hollywood Yellow & Green farmers market, and met Zee, the lady owner who is so passionate about her food. I have visited the stall a number of times. Zee does catering too. She has many signature dishes. My top favourites are Laksa (Spicy coconut noodle soup), Beef rendang (rich flavor beef stew made with spice paste and coconut milk), soto ayam (deliciously flavoured yellow chicken soup served with vermicelli) , Nasi lemak (coconut rice served with flavourful rendang chicken, sambal chili, anchovy & peanut), karipap (Asian style empanadas but made with potato filling), lontong (rice cake served with vegetables in creamy coconut gravy) etc. During the summer, Zee runs her stall at various locations. Found this tent setup at a street festival and never had Singapore or Malaysian food so decide to give a try by starting small. Owner was very friendly and helpful giving me idea of what to try. We had their "egg rolls" and their beef inspired roll which had some unique and quite good flavors that I could not recognize but enjoyed. Owner told us she is a regular at Margate street fair off Margate boulevard on Sundays. Being so close to there, I will be back to try other things on menu, especially their dumplings. read more

We found Zee on a very last minute for our wedding on Valentine's Day. She did such a fantastic job and great to work with! I was still in Singapore 2 weeks prior to the wedding day and fiance -now husband-, helped me out to contact her, but Zee is always available to be contacted through e-mail & WhatsApp. So the 13-hour time difference does not feel like much of a distant. I was so full when I spotted zippyzee kitchen at the farmers market but the display caught my eye. A big "bun" which i thought was a dumpling that she showed me turned out to be vegan. I haaad to take some home, then i noticed she also had some sticky rice wrapped in some sort of leaf. I must day i will be back for more Buns and ill have try those dumplings next time! read more

Zee is one of the most hard-working people I've met. When she's not working at a farmers market, she's busy cooking and preparing for the next event. I was born in Malaysia and there's nothing less appetizing than Americanized Asian food. Zippy Zee's food is authentic - it's the real thing. Her Singapore Laksa is to die for, the nasi lemak and other dishes remind me of home. She does catering as well. A friend of mine hired Zee to cater for her party and she made Singapore Laksa, curry puff, mee rebus and lontong. Everything was soooo good :) read more

Had a chance to enjoy Zee's food at the Green Market in Margate this weekend. The food was delicious even for a pregnant mom whose sensitive to everything it seems like. We tried her beef roti, puffed pastry with chicken, steam dumplings and buns! It was simple yet delicious. She and her husband told us about Singapore and encouraged us to visit which is what you want when you try authentic food from half way around the world! We will be back to try more! read more

It's been a few weeks since I've eaten at Zippy Zee but the experience and flavors are still fresh. We came on a Saturday looking for a quick but good lunch. Of course I had a sudden craving for dumplings. When we came across here Zee was extremely friendly and seemed to enjoy the idea that my friend has never had dumplings or anything else she had. So after some talking Zee heated up my food and eventually my friend caved in and ordered the same thing. The food came out quick and fresh and if you know anything about me I usually inhale my food if I really like it and that's what ended up happening. The dumplings she offered were all different but packed many flavors in them, the spinach bun was filling in it's own and perfect if you're looking for a vegetarian option then finally the chicken ball had some heat to it but the balance from the other seasonings made it very enjoyable. For the amount of food we received it was well worth the price. Zee was kind enough to let us try her pineapple tarts she made which was a great way to end the meal. She has way more to offer than what I just got so definitely have more to try. read more

I've followed Zee from the Yellow Green farmer's market in Hollywood to the Parkland farmer's market. Why would I do that? Well, I used to live in Southeast Asia and visited Singapore many times. Had the Roti and loved it. Perfect amount of spice (medium) in the curry vegetables and two freshly cooked roti!
