I have used Zip's for years. However, I was in a couple of weeks ago and found that my car was streaked with black lines of dirt when I got home. I called Zip's and was told that sometimes happens if the brushes are dirty. They offered to wash my car again for free, so I drove back, only to find it shut down for the rest of the day because there was a problem. I just went back today and had the same problem with the black dirty streaks. This time I spoke to a man there. He told me that it was "mold in my paint" that "comes to the surface when the car is wet." Ha! He washed it again and same result. So I took it to Mountain Express and, lo and behold, no black streaks! Ridiculous. First of all, don't blatantly lie to me. Second, how about a refund? I went because I had a lot of dead bugs on my windshield. I paid for the bug remover and the best wash. There wasn't any kind of scrubbing on the windshield so all the bugs were still there. Wasted $15. This car wash is supposed to be the best in the area. Go to Shell and get the window washer and do it yourself. Save money and better results. I wouldn't suggest going here to get your car washed. I'd definitely recommend going to a gas station and doing it yourself. The one thing I will say is that the soap they use smells good but that's not worth $15. Don't go here. Save your money! read more

Every time I go something else is broken inside the car wash. In addition, I pay the monthly fee for unlimited washes. There is no way to do a one time upgrade on your wash. They'll tell you there is but I have asked on 3 occasions and nobody has ever been able to upgrade it for me so I'm stuck doing the basic wash every time I go whether I want it or not. read more

I really wish I could give this place less than 1 stars. I would vote WHY BOTHER???? $16 was was anemic at best. Had to take a towel to get the dirt off. Vacuums were weak. Would not even vacuum up hair or light dirt. Asked attendant and he made attempt to get more suction but nothing more. No cleaning supplies lake other places. Used to having spat bottles and hand towels supplies. Not even any vending machines for window cleaner or interior cleaners. This would be a good place to build a self service car wash because this place use useless. read more

Don't waste your time unless you simply want a water down of your car. This place never cleans anything off. If you want your tire shined per the second package you'll need to do it yourself unless you only have surface debris. We need some competition in this town. read more

My husband and I have 2 monthly memberships.. (unlimited car washes) We love it HOWEVER.. they state it opens at 8:00AM but you can never depend on that. This is the Arden Airport Rd car wash. We like to go to work with a clean car and it's not dependable to be opened on time. Sometimes it's still closed past 8:15AM.. I called and left voice message how upset I was but no one called me. Plus.. something happens frequently to stop you while you are going thru the car wash. Some vaccums work and some don't. read more

This zips car wash needs a upgrade. 1/2 of the vacuums do not even work. Scanner for my membership never works and I have to hold a whole line of traffic up for them to run out and fix it. VERY IRRITATING AND EMBARRASSING. Very rarely can you find a towel. Soap is always left on the car when you come through the wash. What is the problem?? If I could give this place a 0 stars I would. It seems to only be this location. We bought a membership several years ago when it was owned by a different company. Ever since "Zips" has taken over it has been horrible. Let's start with it never washes the back window of my Jeep Grand Cherokee. The manager told me they had to turn the back brushes off bc it might rip my tag off. Ok, whatever. The wash is never consistent. Sometimes you get a jet spray to rinse the soap off, sometimes nothing more than a dribble. Went through recently and it never even put soap on my car. A few months ago, the pay kiosk said I needed to update my credit card, and when I do it doesn't give me the same plan I originally signed up for. They had raised the prices and changed the plans so I had to pay more for the same plan and it didn't even offer the same services. So today was the last straw. We go through the wash and I notice none of the brushes on the right side are spinning except the very last one, which never touched the car. The entire right side of my car is still dirty. I go in to ask the manager if he realizes the brushes aren't spinning and he tells me it hasn't worked all day!! I ask him why he's taking people's money when it's not even working? He says he isn't allowed to close it down. He never offered me a refund or a free wash next time, instead he says "Is your car even dirty?" What?!?! Yes!! He says they'll be open tomorrow and it should be working. I told him I wanted to cancel my membership immediately and he says he can't do it, hands me a business card with an 800 number I need to call and never offers an apology or anything. So tomorrow morning at 8am someone on the other end of that 800 number will get the full end of my wrath. This location is unethical and poorly managed. read more

Corporate numbers do not work, the local team will not give you a number or email. File a ticket, great idea, except there is no follow-through. AVOID THIS PLACE LIKE THE PLAGUE!!! I drove in with a perfectly good windshield and came out the other end with a foot long crack in my windshield. Since I was there on vacation, I am sure they denied the claim because they figured it would cost me more to return to North Carolina (I live in New Jersey) to file suit in small claims court than it cost to replace the windshield. This car was has been slowly declining since it changed ownership from Gorilla. Today tops it all, paid for the top of the line car wash and when we entered the wash the brushes on the right side of the wash were not working. We exited the wash and the entire right side of our vehicle was still dirty. I went to the management office to make them aware and the manager on duty tells me that it broke earlier in the day. I asked why the car wash is open and taking peoples money if it's , and he stated that he's not allowed to close it. The back of your vehicle never gets clean, but today's visit was the last for me. STAY AWAY!!! Just had my truck "washed" here. At the end of the "wash" my truck was just as dirty as when I entered, but now had a coat of wax on it. When I brought it to the manager's attention, he asked me if the truck was dirty when I brought it in. Of course it was, that's why I was getting it washed. He told me to scrub the truck with a brush and soapy water and he would send me through again.
