I have been doing business here for ten years, I have a Saturn Sky. First the tech couldn't find the oil filter. Even three of them couldn't find it. Finally, It's on the top side. No one has ever done any work on the top side, which tells me they had never changed the filter. Coupons not accepted, no military discount. I'm done. Four employees, one customer. So frustrating!! I arrived and there are 2 cars being worked on and one waiting. I pulled in behind the waiting car. I was told by the worker to pull up to the first stall. 3 more cars pulled in after me to wait. I sat there for 45 minutes. Then I watched as they started working on 2 cars that came after me! I told them to latch my hood I was leaving. So almost an hour sitting and still dont have my oil changed. Not a way to run a business. read more

I am going to chalk my last experience up to a " off " day. My daughter went back today after I spoke with JT, she had a 10/10 experience. JT is not the store manager but was filling in , he was apologetic, kind and professional. Andrew was the one my daughter dealt with, again kind and professional! All of the guys working were working quickly and getting the cars out . Off days or experiences happen, however I think today was a more accurate picture of how they conduct business. DO NOT GO HERE! Went for next oil change at Take 5 Hendersonville since they had done my last one as well. After 2 complete attempts and over 2.5 hrs later with my 10 month old granddaughter my 2022 Santa Fe had to be towed!! The mgr was from Tenn covering this location. He himself did my change. When finished the check engine and oil light came on and they could not get it to go off. My daughter is a mgr at a local dealership and she came to get us and mgr took pictures of engine and also stated to us both it was making a strange noise. My dgtr rechecked several things for herself and heard noise as well. The mgr said he was filing a claim and it was their fault but he could not explain it but that since it only had 40,000 miles on it the warranty would cover the engine issues. He would not let me choose towing service and said they had a "protocol" if someone and he already called. He asked "where do you want it towed to". I told him Hyundai of Asheville is only place that had worked on car so tow there. He said no problem. I had to ask what were they going to do since they already took my CC and charged me for the service. Only at that time did he say he could refund my money back. On Monday since this was on weekend Hyundai sent me email and I called and initial assessment was that Take 5 did not put the oil plug in correctly and it was sucked back in and potentially needed to replace the Housing. I told them ok and begin fixing it. Immediately I contacted Take 5 and spoke to assistant mgr Patrick and gave same information. He replied that the "bays were full with cars and he would contact Heidi at Hyundai in about an hour and requested I forward the email to him". I instantly did as he gave me his email. Nothing else said. Later in the late afternoon Hyundai called to tell me that Housing was ok and they tried again and was finally able to get the plug out but that they had talked to Patrick earlier and he was upset and told them he found an off brand part on the website and was looking at it and they were not going to pay for a Hyundai part brand to be put back on. Hyundai refused to do that at that time. I received call that car was fixed and could pick up anytime and shared what Patrick had told them. At no point did Take 5 reach out to me period! This afternoon we went to pick up car and when I arrived Heidi who is a mgr told me they had been dealing with Patrick for a long while and he was refusing to pay the bill and had hung up on both her and the GM who tried to talk to him. They had his cell so I immediately called and when he answered he gave the phone to DISTRICT MGR JOHN. He talked over me from the beginning so I told him I was putting him on speaker. There were 3 service people including Heidi the service mgr who tried explaining what was wrong and that there are special instructions for the plug for Santa Fe's and was his technicians aware of this. She was reading straight from the Instruction Document which I have. John hung up the phone! I tried to call Patrick cell again and no answer. Had to call the store and John said because I told them to start fixing the car they are not paying for it. Myself AND Heidi both explained that I am the owner of the car. Heidi even stated that Take 5 was the ones who towed it there for a problem that they could not fix so that did not make any sense. I asked if I needed to just call a lawyer and John said "I will only communicate through email from now on". And he hung up! Called the store again asked for John, told him he didn't have to keep hanging up and Heidi said this is very unprofessional. He hung up yet again! Called again and was told he was on phone. Asked for his email address and was given one. Not sure yet if truly his or not. Asked for his boss name and number, they did not know it. Asked for corporate office and was told it is on website. Here is bill, the plug that was pulled out and I had to pay the cost myself! If this is the childish way a District Mgr acts I cannot imagine what type of quality they give. This review page will not let me copy or insert any photos. The charge was $586.35. From 4:10pm -4:29pm John hung up phone 4 times to myself and the Hyundai of Asheville Service Department. My daughter being a mgr at large multi million dollar dealership said this kind of attitude from a mgr SPEAKS VOLUME about the company. I hope this review saves someone else who may not have $586.35 to get their vehicle back to go to work the next day. read more

Poor experience today. I never mind waiting, especially if a business is busy, but I do mind waiting almost 1.5 hours to complete my oil change. My oil was drained prior to them ensuring they had the correct oil to replace. They didn't, so they contacted Autozone to deliver. The manager on shift left to go grab himself McDonalds, when he could have gone and picked up the oil. The guys working were friendly and apologetic, but not a great experience overall. read more

This is a great place to get a quick oil change. I will say I didn't see anyone inspecting my windshield wipers. Which is fine, but the receipt said they did. They did ask me if I have had problems with them. So it made me wonder what else wasn't done? read more

Amazing! I needed a place to get an oil change AND a NC DMV Safety check and Take 5 Oil Change came up as an approved shop to get both. When I drove up, a man brought me a bottle of water and we discussed what I needed. Then he brought me a tiny pkg of Mott's Gummy Bears. These guys helped me with the coupon, and showed me a filter that was absolutely well beyond its realistic life. And of course they could install a new one, thankfully. I did not want to go all over town nickel and diming everything, I just wanted to get it done so I can register the car. This team was fast and very professional. Ethan did the Safety inspection and other work. I wish I would have gotten the other's names. I highly recommend this location and their service. I love one-stop shopping. After driving cross country and rolling up the mileage, we were in need of an oil change. Stacy, Tommy, and the staff took good care of us! We were able to drive right up and get our oil change in a flash. We were offered some water while we waited and the staff checked other aspects of our vehicles to ensure they were in good order. Oil leaked out before 1000 miles due to plug not being tightened. Out of time for them to top off. Didn't care or take ownership. Expensive. Please save your car and go somewhere else. read more

As a longtime customer of Take 5 and an business owner myself, I am highly disappointed in the treatment received at Take 5. I came in after a long day of landscaping with a 12' utility trailer. I was willing to take it off to make sure my service was completed. As I pulled in, a young man greeted me and told me to drop the trailer where it was at and to pull in the bay. So I did so and then the manager came back out saying that I needed to hook up to the trailer to move it, I addressed her with the upmost respect and told her that I was told to leave it right there. She then became extremely sarcastic and rude to eventually refuse service. read more

This is my first negative review I have ever written but think the buyer should beware. My last oil change took over 45 minutes. I was told there was some oil that spilled out onto the frame under my vehicle that would drip off within the next few days, not to worry. My garage and driveway had HUGE oil spots and standing oil. Checked the oil a couple of days after the change and the dipstick didn't even register oil. 2 bottles of oil from home were added to barely register the dipstick before I returned. They advised me the seal on the new oil filter was warped ("oops" manufacturer defect) and said that was common. They replaced and gave me a $7 off coupon for my next oil change. I returned today with a mailed coupon for $10 off for a regular oil change and provided them my $7 coupon from the previous change. First of all, it took over 30 minutes to have the service completed. Second, they did not honor my $7 coupon because that employee no longer works there and it wasn't approved by the manager that is working there now. The worker explained they do not honor coupons from previous employees/managers. They only honor coupons if it is "noted" in their system. They do not "stack" coupons - although nowhere on the coupon (or verbally) was that communicated. The staff today said the issue was out of their control and were all very polite. The staff (last 2 visits) were also polite. Possibly high turnover and corporate greed are to blame. I will try to find a local business (not a chain) to support from now on. read more
