Eating inside Zips is like going back in time, with retro music, semi-dim lighting and striped booths. Some tables were a little dirty, others cleaner.It also smelled pretty strongly of oil, but unhealthy and like gasoline. As my second time visiting the chain, I think the milkshakes are good! The fruit shakes ($6 minimum) are made with real fruit (not fresh, probably frozen) whereas the cheaper flavor alternative ($4 minimum) uses syrup. I personally felt the butterscotch was too strong and sweet for me, but the strawberry fruit shake was great. I prefer to get dessert than food here, the large-size onion rings weren't worth the price especially since the bag could've been fuller. If I come back, I'd also prefer to go through drive through to avoid the strong oil smell. read more

This was not a good experience at all. We went through the drive-thru and ordered our food, and afterward I went inside to use the restroom. I honestly wish I had gone in before ordering, because the smell alone would have been enough to make me turn around and leave. The food didn't feel fresh and just wasn't good, and the overall experience was disappointing. The service didn't help either. Foods Great always had been, but when I stopped here this time the manager lady was screaming at employees, using extreme verbal language while children were present. that was not appropriate or even slightly acceptable around customers this went on for around 5 minutes as the employees had to sit there and take it. We honestly ordered too much food to go and I had asked if the tartar and the other sauces were there. She said yes I double checked. There was no one in the restaurant or drive thru. I was a little hesitant to go to this location because it had a good number of 1 star reviews. But it is a fast food place and most of them get 1 star reviews so I tried it out. I believe it is a chain in Washington for I saw another location near the hotel I was staying at. I ordered the Papa Joe's burger which is a single beef patty burger with a piece of ham and lettuce. To me it was like a breakfast burger. I went with a combo which came with crinkle fries and a drink. I got my food and went to the condiment area and it was nice to see fry sauce. I grew up eating Zips, so this pains me to leave such a bad review. This Zips locations is terrible. We ordered a bunch of food in the drive thru. I knew the guy didn't order our food right so I asked him to repeat the order and corrected it. Then after waiting about 15 minutes in line, we finally get our food. I asked for ranch dressing that we didn't get. The guy says "do you have the ticket they gave you." I said "well you were the one who took my money and you never gave me a ticket." Then he goes to get ranch and I think the cooks gave him a hard time and made him find our ticket before giving him the ranch. I The service was weird and slow. I know you have a bunch of young people working here, so maybe management could take some time to help train or help out, knowing how busy you are. read more

I went in the men's room and there wasn't one so I asked the girl working if there was one in the other room so my wife could go in and she said no but the men's counter is big enough to use. This zips was thoroughly depressing. It has every negative old stereotype of fast food places. The entire place had a funky smell especially bathrooms which just reeked. There was an air of uncleanliness, and disrepair. The food was inconsistently cooked with some being over and some undercooked. Nothing had much of any flavour. For the quality of the food you may think it was especially quick, but that's also not the case. Got their "Philly cheesesteak" that was served on a smal size hamburger bun with some chewy thin flat strips of beef like beef jerky or gyros meat looking except thinner and tasted like absolute shit. I give this place a 4 because of its awesome and cheap menu! Don't expect a fantastic dining experience but expect a retro American, grab n go diner sort of deal. Great place for kids/teens since all of the food is very simple (burgers, corn dogs, grilled cheese, etc). I came here with a bunch of teenagers after a youth camp and after having not so great camp food plus a couple hours on the road.. this place really hit the spot for all of them. We always seem to end up here on a Sunday. Good and fast food each time. Much better than going to a McDonalds or Carls. People have to realize that this is not a gourmet restaurant, It is a fast food place and rate it based on that. We love that they have excellent music cranked up ever time that we come in. Seriously grody. The chicken strips did NOT look like chicken inside. It was foamy and wet inside the chicken strips ! I pulled them all apart so they would be smaller for my daughter to eat & immediately noticed the weird foamy white texture. Not only that but it took forever to get the food and they tried no less then 4 times to give us other peoples food. It was almost $60 for our order and that didn't include fries except with the chicken strips, & they were clearly pre frozen heated up fries. The chicken tenders being foamy and moist was really gross though and disappointing. Staff was kind & the building was cute. The rest I can't say anything nice about though. read more

Why is there so much hate for this place? I've been to Zips before, but not the one in Ritzville. Out family of four each enjoyed burgers, perfectly cooked fries, and some amazing breaded mushrooms. We devoured everything and it was cooked to perfection. Husband said the burgers were better than Red Robin. Kids meals came with massive rainbow lollipops! The inside's a little outdated, and I'd prefer they had paper towels in the bathroom but overall it was great. I just wish the mushrooms didn't cost the same as the burgers. read more
