I candidly have no idea where all these glowing reviews are coming from! My two experiences in here were awful. The first time I went in for my mother of the bride dress. He put many pins in it then told me to get different undergarments, said the dress isn't fitting right then gave up, took out the pins and recommended I see a different tailor. (I found someone else and she was fantastic!). A few other people were in there getting fitted as well, and he made suggestive comments on appearances of young women. They appeared very uncomfortable. I went back a second time to pick up some items that my daughter had repaired. When I walked in, he made a comment about my appearance and then he asked if my daughter was a "hot babe" as well. He took a phone call and the gal on the phone was asking to speak with a woman. He said he's the owner that he could help her. She said she had called a week or so ago he must've been on vacation. He then told her that his side gig is "smuggling fentanyl over the border". He thought he was funny. He said it a second time to her and she hung up on him. After I got all the items back to my daughter, she realized that one of the items wasn't even repaired! It was very expensive and now not even fixed. She's not going back in. He may do decent work, but he is highly inappropriate and very unprofessional. read more

If you are looking for a great tailor this is your guy. He loves what he does and makes it fun while you are in there. He has fixed a few dresses for me, jeans and even recently some leggings. He is pretty busy so if you need a quick turn around you can ask and see if he is able to accommodate. If not I recommended dropping your stuff off early with at least 2 weeks in advance but typically they are done sooner. I won't go any where else to have an alterations done on my clothes. read more

This tailor knows his business and will be honest with you about whether it is worth doing the alterations or not. We went in with a couple of suits and two sports coats that my husband had had for years. The tailor acknowledged the good material and fine work on the pieces, but pointed out how the jackets did not fit well in the shoulders (we already knew the pants were too tight and too long) based on how my husband's body had changed over time. He also pointed out the features that made the coats snd pants outdated. He counseled us that buying an updated, not too expensive suit for this one occasion use would make more sense. As someone who is very particular with how my clothing fits, I am always hesitant in trusting someone other than my grandmother (who is a tailor) to work on my clothing. Given she is across the country, weekly trips to see her are not feasible, so I searched out a local tailor and found Zizzo Tailoring and their owner Phil. When I walked in, I immediately got the barber shop vibe and loved it. I've been coming to this place for years. They truly are the best in my opinion. He has done probably 12 sport coats, 3 suits, many jeans, dress pants and more for me. One of the best things about coming here is Phil and I get to poke fun at each other... it's like talking with your friend who is always honest with you (to the point where you shake your head haha)... Had a bridesmaid dress shortened + padding put in here and it turned out great! At first, I was a little shocked by the price ($104), but their work is top notch and I honestly hadn't compared it to many other spots so I don't know if it's high or low. There aren't a ton of tailors around anymore so due to the fab reviews at Zizzo and a recommendation from our dry cleaner, I gave them a shot.
